The hotel is quaint and historic. The decor is interesting and helps to tell the story of Butte’s mining past. They did not give us the room we reserved initially, but did provide the room for an extra fee when I inquired. Overall, the hotel was still a pleasant experience.

This is a great place to stay in historic downtown Butte. The hotel has a lot of charm with all its unique mining decor. We slept very well after a couple rough nights camping. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Do not miss the speakeasy downstairs. Across the street is a super cafe. We’ll be back to try the nearby M&M as well John’s pork chop sandwich!

We stayed in the vault room. I would be giving our stay a 5 star review if our room had air conditioning. I tried calling multiple times before booking to ask about air conditioning since it was a old building but no one answered. I decided to book anyway. Neither of us ended up sleeping much as it was over 80 on the room. Maybe just put a disclaimer on the website? Our arrival day ended up needing a very late check in and the staff was super flexible and helpful.Decor was lovely and shower awesome!

My wife and son couldnt say enough good things about staying here. We had a front room on the second floor (Kelley Mine room) which is actually two sleeping areas. There is a queen bed in a separate bedroom, and one in the main room. The furniture was very nice, and we all loved the chairs and ottomans, super comfy. My wife commented that she wanted a shower like the one in our room if we ever remodeled our bathroom. The space was large, and the windows looking out over Butte were the huge windows you get in some old buildings, which made sitting in the chairs, staring out the window a favorite pastime of my wife in the quieter moments. If you have very small children, be careful with how far you open the windows, as they are only partially screened, and can open enough to have a pretty large space to fall through. We had multiple fascinating conversations with the owners, who manage the hotel and live on the third floor. They were a treasure trove of information about the history of Butte and the building itself.

The Miners Hotel is an ode to Butte - I think anyone with fond memories of Butte or who enjoys American history will love staying here simply for the unique decor. But that is not even the best part...The location is excellent for enjoying the summer music festivals, Saturday Farmers Market, Music on Main, visiting the Butte Archives, or any performance at the Mother Lode or Covelite theaters. With the upscale “speak easy” downstairs and local brewery and distillery, a range of family run restaurants within a few blocks - the location is unsurpassed. The building is solid and beds comfy. Bathrooms have tall walk in showers. Highly recommended.

The best hotel in Butte. Each room is unique, furnished and decorated by the owners. I stayed in the Mountain Con, named for the mine just up the hill. The room was great but the service was even better - the front desk and management team were friendly and super helpful. The speakeasy downstairs is also a real treat. Highly recommended. Note that this is not a roadside cookie cutter hotel, so if thats what youre looking for, this might not be a great fit.

I enjoyed my stay here. My favorite part is the historic charm. The location is incredibly convenient as there is food, a bar, and cafes not even a block away. We parked here and walked everywhere downtown. The bathroom was nicely tiled with a roomy shower and a built in heater. The room was very clean, and the sheets smelled nice.I would suggest to the management that the transom windows above the doors be light-proofed somehow. We had light from the hallway spilling into our room all night which made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also too hard for my partners taste. I feel like it was slightly overpriced for the size of the room (we stayed in the orphan girl room). If it were $90 per night I would definitely return.Overall, I was pleased, but was expecting slightly more for the price.

This is my favorite place to stay when I visit Butte! The history is amazing, and each of the rooms is named after a different mine. Taking a step out of history, the rooms are decorated in modern comforts and fun, bright colors! Theyre even opening a speak easy in the basement, and you can stay in the old bank vault!

I’ve been staying at the Miners Hotel for a year now, every time I go to Butte. Ted and Derek are not only extremely accommodating, but there hospitality is the best in town! They are so personable, you feel like family by the end of your stay. The restoration their family did on the hotel is so amazing transforming each room into a wonderful getaway full of Butte history and each is extremely comfortable. I’ve stayed in about every room and each is unique in its own way revealing history of the town. One night we got in super late, and Derek came and picked us up himself from the airport! Not to mention he and Ted greet us by first name every time! It’s so great to see their faces every time we stay! If you want hospitality, personable service, extremely comfortable and quality rooms with some Butte history, stay here! We love Miners Hotel and wouldn’t stay anywhere else:)

The Miners Hotel is a gem hidden away on W. Park St, one of the main streets in old downtown Butte. It was my good fortune to have been directed there by another fine business in Butte, Bad Beaver Bikes and owner Ed after my bike broke down while I was riding the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. The Ackerman family, father Ted and son Derek, have done a great job of remodeling the hotel with beautifully updated style that blends with the historical past of the wonderful old brick building. It is a bit more upscale than the chain motels near the interstates but well worth the few dollars more. I stayed for one night as I figured out what to do about my bike, since parts were not readily available despite Eds at Bad Beaver Bikes best efforts. I decided to return home, which I did, but then found a way to repair the bike and fly back to Butte a week later to continue my ride. There wasnt a second thought about where to stay, Miners Hotel. When I departed, Ted had graciously driven me to the airport at 5 am (!)to catch the first flight out, and Derek graciously picked me up on my return with arrival at a 11:30 pm flight for another 2 day stay at the hotel. Superb! The rooms were sparkling clean, comfortable, quiet and convenient for any one visiting Butte. I can not say enough about my enjoyable stay at the Miners Hotel. They even found a secure place for me to store my bike. Thank you Ted and Derek for your wonderful hospitality.
