One of my favorite fishing spots...
Over 100 million dollars to repair this bridge. They should have put a brand new 4 lane bridge big enough for boats to go under and toll scanner for plates. That would require the use of a brain.
This is the place for piece and quiet a great spot to unwind.
Hot, overly sunny. Still better then quarintine.
Wait you can do this? You can leave a review for a bridge? Its... its a bridge. It goes over the water. You drive on it. It uhm... Didnt collapse? Five stars?
This old bridge connects pa to nj with a toll side in burlington. The price is four bucks cash or 3.00 easy pass. The bridge does raise up for boats to go under so you will be stuck once and a while in traffic which sucks. But its a convient bridge to get to the shore points and its only one lane each way with tight lanes and no room for mistakes. No pedestrians can walk across it which really sucks. Its a cool looking bridge to look at from the beach area!
Its a bridge. Have to wait for boats everyone and a while. Sign up for text alerts but you only get a 10 minute warning before the bridge opens. So unless your right near there, your going to be stuck in traffic for 10+ minutes.
Scary, slippery and narrow.
I visited this place to get out of New Jersey, lady was like; four dollars, please Im like, for this? But, in reality, Ill pay that to get out of the state of New Jersey. Anyone should be willing, but the bridge is legit small, one lane. Easiest bridge to get to Bridgeport. Its a draw bridge may need to take that into account, I got stuck behind one night coming into NJ.
Its a bridge between PA and NJ, and only $3 if you have EZ-Pass from any state ($4 cash). Either way is cheaper than the DRPA bridges (all $5), and depending on if you enter I-95 at Florence, up to $5 cheaper. You may occasionally get held up by bridge openings, but theyre usually outside of peak commuting hours.
Only bridge still collecting cash tolls during a pandemic and not even wearing masks !! Greedy
Its slowly falling apart. Horrible toll plaza and the bridge is timed in sync with the train crossing. The lanes are very narrow.
I alwats walk along the waterfront here. It is beautiful.
If u follow the detour and when they are working on it no trouble.
A blast from the past -- re-visit driving in the 40s and 50s over a vertical lift bridge that spans the Delaware River. Look over the side as you navigate the tiny lane past trucks going the opposite direction! If you have never been on one of these, let me just point out that the lift portion of the bridge is steel. Have you ever driven on steel? How about wet steel? Or steel that has a sheet of ice on it? Its exciting!
Beautiful old bridge. Visit Burlington at dusk and witness the most ama,in sunsets
A relic from an age gone by.......I sincerely hope no one is on it when it finally gives in
How long does this bridge stay open for? ️️Lol
Good fishing if you know what you’re doing it’s very pressured and very fun and challenging
Love fishing here with the love of my life who taught me how to fish
Easier than swimming across the Delaware RiverThanks
This bridge is always closed and it look like the police only stop Black,Indian and Spanish people
How do you rate a bridge? Its great. Do visit the convenience store at the NJ side BP gas station. Amazing coffee. Clean. Nice staff.
Its a good bridge. Uh if you take the turnpike to PA its $3 to leave and $5 to then enter PA, this one is down the road and its only $4 to leave. Sturdy steel.
What caused the delay today. The lane to Pa was moving smoothly and the lane to Jersey wasnt
If u have a day of just wondering around and u wonder where to begin the journey, u seek a calmb easy going scenic stop that brings u a slight thoght of ough then that is Burlington bridge u wont be disappointed with its great vew of both citys skyline providing an undisputed feel of u in this world .trust I walked across this bridge and biked it and each time I enjoyed the travel. Tho time has left its own impreashion upon it I think it gives it a life of its own ...
Good place to meet up with me
Always a bridge opening at rush hour, no vessels going by so they just do their daily check at the worst time. Toll operators are extremely ignorant
Lot of improvement easy way to get to the Casino Parxs from Burlington NJ
This bridge is one of three in the entire us that works off of counterweights. Its a work of art but Im always nervous crossing it hence the 3 stars. But 5 stars if your just looking at it from the ground.
Perfectly fine bridge. Toll from NJ to PA is $2 currently, the opposite direction is free. Also overnight construction is going on so after 9pm there are alternating 1 way lanes. Expect delays.
Too narrow hate driving over this bridge and too expensive
Small bridge but does the trick. The toll is fast moving never much traffic
It dont put u on 95 and its so small can just fit 2 cars on it and they want $4 each.....and its always open or a train is going buy so now u late for work......it mite b better if its a free bridge....
Bridge sucks, very skinny and feels inadequate. Same price as larger bridges into PA but 1/10th the size and quality. Makes you wonder where the toll $ goes.
This bridge did not fall, but it quickly fell from my favor. Firstly, the barriers were too tall for our Ford Fiesta, a respectable and indicative ferry of the average American family. As a result, my two children (Lucile and Friedrich) could not see the historic Delaware river of forefather fame. Finally, Mr. Bristol provided a flaccid, uninspired design which has been better utilized over lesser rivers.
Good bridge. Most of the toll takers are nice. Much quicker to get to work then driving up 95 and over the Betsy Ross.
This bridge is a better alternative to the Jersey turnpike bridge you save about 3 dollars now due to the toll hike only issue is it opens but you can sign up for a text message and it will let you know in advance when it will open. The other issue is the riverline stops traffic so it does back up during rush hour. Its also nice to view as you walk along the river on the Jersey side.
Small and tight, not for the faint of heart, lol. Fun to cross if youre into that sort of thing. Best to use off-peak hours, slows you down during rush as its one lane at 35mph or slower.
As a former resident of Mount Holly NJ as a child I now live in the Poconos in PA. The Burlington Bristol Bridge holds very fond memories of my childhood.
This antique truss bridge is an odd piece of Great Depression-era engineering that connects Bristol, Croydon and Burlington near Rt. 130 in NJ. The bridge is largely favored by people that live on the Penn side and work on the Jersey side and traffic is often backed up onto PA-413 on the Penn side. Beware of jerks trying to merge late on 413 when you approach the bridge. It is a narrow bridge that has a liftable steel span for ships to pass downriver. You can really feel the steel on your tires as you drive across this thing.
Dont understand how it is that these people can never coordinate alternating traffic
I have to use this bridge cuz I dont have a boat
Cheapest bridge into Pennsylvania.
Bridge too Tight for the big trucks that come across it!
It gets me across the river
Such and old bride, still very useful.
Best bridge to go on if you want to be fashionably late to a funeral or to work! If youre about 15 minutes away from work, you better leave 2 hours early!
Its a bridge. Uh... you cross it to get from one state to another. Fun times.
Have crossed this bridge thousands of times. It has never failed to be a challenge, particularly when an 18 wheeler is coming in the opposite direction. But the views are worth the crossing.
They take your money and you get big pot holes everywhere.
Got to love the tank guarding bridge on jersey side with cannon pointing east..
Only 13 on the planet that operate in that fashion
Its a bridge - one lane in each direction, so rather narrow compared to other local bridges. Lighter traffic than others too.
Its a bridge. Sometimes the bridge will lift to let boats pass. The toll from New Jersey to Pennsylvania is $3 with E-ZPass and $4 with cash. There is no toll from Pennsylvania to New Jersey.
It gets you from one side of the water to the other but it is scary
Its closed overnight. Didnt find out until I was at the bridge.
There great people and the owner is in a band Trump boys
Neat to see an operational lift bridge. The bridge is closed to pedestrians, but one can still walk the water front at Burlington, nj.
Cant wait until the work I done
Use this bridge every morning, toll collector is always great.
This bridge is way too narrow, you would think because of it being in a high traffic area they would upgrade it and add more lanes.*Please like this post, it will motivate me to help more.*
Nice bridge. Does bridge stuff. Lol
Its a bridge...takes you across the Delaware river without killing you.
Very convenient for us to get to Ben Salem from Jersey
Could be bigger but its cheaper
Small and one lane pass. If bridge is up traffic can back up for a while. Avoid if can.
Can get backed up easily when bridge is up and also when the train is coming thru. However its the cheapest bridge in the area.
It was the most scariest bridge I ever crossed the lanes are to close together feels like Im about to hit an on coming car any minute..
Know anybody with gephyrophobia (fear of bridges) or plain ol fear of heights? This is a bridge they will /hate/. The Burlington-Bristol bridge is old, shabby and rickety looking, plus its so narrow drivers in opposing lanes can easily pass around the Grey Poupon without slowing down.
Sucky bridge. Very slow. Crappy part of town, hard to get to. Stay home.
An older Bridge almost scary to cross sometimes because its so narrow it was worth it in the past because the price was cheaper than going over the larger bridges into Philadelphia but now that the price has been raised it almost seems to be more of an issue but since its close or if its close for you depending upon your location that would be the only reason why its worth it to take this bridge otherwise its safer to get across one of the larger Bridges it is a great problem when theres an opening for boats going through it slows down traffic dramatically and congest the town on the Burlington side tremendously
It was under construction when I crossed it so I had to wait about a half hour. Theyre too cheap to build a bigger bridge so they just keep fixing it even though theres only one lane
Good bridge and decent yoll but hate when it goes up for boats. Takes 25 to 30 min out of your day.
I got paint on my car from the work on the bridge.
I hate crossing Bridges but this one is okay. It seems stable.
Used to drive over this bridge quite often when I worked in Horsham and KoP in PA. I marveled at the counterweights and the rasing/lowering deck. Narrow bridge so if you are claustrophobic, use the Besty Ross.
Horrible bridge. I would rather try to swim across
Quite scary to drive over. But if you need to get from here to there or visa versa, well, go ahead and use it
Very interesting raising bridge, you may sit there for a minute at times, but the historical value far outways minor setbacks!
If youre not into narrow Bridges stay away from it.
Slowest bridge openings. Been stuck here for an hour as we speak
Its ok service
They really need to rip the bridge down and build a bigger one. Its not fun with the amount of space on thus bridge.
I hate the long lines.
It stood up. Thats all that matters.
Small but it gets the job done
This bridge needs to be redone and widened and toll is way to high
Great bridge
Called Bristol my home for 35 + years
Its still standing. Thats really all I need out of a bridge
Small bridge but fun
VERY NARROW
Very Nice Landmark
Its a tight 2 lane bridge that costs 4 bucks to get into Pennsylvania unless you have ez-pass then is 3 bucks...
5axle semi crossed for 30$
I dislike that this bride is only two lane and that it seems to always be under construction!
