My experience with ABS Payroll was fantastic, and I strongly recommend their services. In the fall of 2017 I served as PM on my first narrative feature, and it was my first time working with SAG and a payroll company after years of working on lots of smaller non-union projects.Throughout the project, SAG proved to be far and away the most disorganized, bureaucratic, and unhelpful organization that I have ever encountered. But every step of the way, Jason Alexander and his team at ABS Paryoll went above and beyond to offer some of the best service I have received anywhere. They were ultra-responsive and friendly, and provided an easy-to-use online portal for document sharing and review.As a client with a small payroll to fulfill, I expected many times for them to be dismissive or slow to respond, knowing that they have lots of bigger fish clients to serve. These people were rude. They acted like they were big shots and they say they support independent film makers but show no love to small business in the startup incubating phase. SAG should reject them.
