This park is huge and has many areas (aka “shelters”) to have a picnic or BBQ party with your family/friends. I love how there are different types of trails (grassy, sandy, uphill, downhill, etc.) and open field areas for sports and dogs. My toddler has so much fun exploring 3 playgrounds and I love that one of them is designed for young toddler (age 2) so I don’t have to chase my toddler to prevent from falling. The pond is beautiful with many ducks and you can even fish here (catch and release only). The parking is $3 on weekdays, $5 on weekends and $7 on holidays but unless you’re unloading gears for picnic/BBQ party, you can just park on the street near the entrance.
Lake: Decently kept lake with various vantage points, benched and shade bearing tress that dot the perimeter. Theres even a little bridge that crosses over the lake.Trails: Plenty of trails that will have you meandering near and afar from the lake.Entertainment: There are Baseball fields, play grounds and tennis courts.Museum: there a cool little museum that focuses on natural history from the local area.Parking: You can park on the street for free but there is parking in the interior of the park. Weekdays $3 and weekends $5
A fun place. Several things to do, hiking, fishing, playground, tennis courts, and more. My under 11 grandkids loved this place while they were visiting us.
What a difference a County makes. This park was clean. The lake was beautiful and the restroom by Lot E was clean. Unfortunately I dont see this in Los Angeles County. Even if I go early when a park first opens. Perhaps they are putting my parking fee to good use.
Very spacious park. Has lots of facility, such as bike trails, playground, shelters, volleyball crt, man-made pond etc. The bathroom are clean and maintain. I would come here again for sure.
Decent outer perimeter trail. About 1.3 miles long. Just a nice stroll, not really a workout. Good for kids to get out (thus 45min length)
This is such a beautiful park. Its so peaceful and clean and has a lot of areas to sit, walk around or relax
This park is really cool and I really liked that the scenery is nice and they have a lot of geese and ducks to see near the pond. They also have a turtle or two for you to see. The hills that are there give a really nice view over the really dry mountains that are nearby. I have definitely enjoyed the times that I have been there and would recommend this spot as a good hangout spot for anyone.
Very beautiful park with a waterfall, lake, and hiking trail. There is also the Ralph B Clark Interactive Center (Ralph B Clark Paleontology Museum). Loved this! Although it is a small center, it showed the fascinating ancient history of the area and that much of the land was underwater during certain epochs. Fossils are nicely displayed. It isnt open all the time: 1st and 3rd Sat and Tues (last known schedule). The center is free; admission to the park is $5.
Very fun, and love everything there especially the hiking trails. Absutely love those and very enoyable
I have not been here since I was a child I came here recently this park is huge takes the whole block around has a famous pink ladies with just the house dog friendly come out and enjoy the park youll love it
Our kids love to go fishing at this Park. They hiking trail around the perimeter of the park is fun and ends with a good view. Overall a great park.
This is an interesting park with trails, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, a childrens play area, a museum (closed due to Covid 19) and plenty of room to picnic and play!
Love this park. Very big and has 3 playgrounds and trails, lakes where people can fish...lots of canopys where people can have parties.
Great place with many picnic tables. $5 entrance fee. Lots of parking. Tennis court and playground present
We came from out of the area and were pleasantly surprised by this park. Great place to ride bikes with the kids, throw the frisbee, play ball, hiking trails and/or BBQ. Very nice park and $5 to get in on the weekend. Lastly, closes at 9pm on Sunday.
Fun park with a museum inside. Lots of fun activities. Museum is staffed by volunteers so it is not always open. It looks like a great place to volunteer your time. The library card is from the orange public library also a nice place to visit.
Just pulled over too wait out rush hour. Its so pleasant! Its been a really long week and even though its a Friday, I could find a spot to chill without a lot of foot traffic. Restrooms are clean, its grassy, has great path (skateboarding for me), a trail to hike, picnic tables, dog friendly, pavilions for groups. Sure, its a few bucks to park - why wouldnt you? Or, why not become a member of OC Parks and then its only $3.00! Ive been to most of the OC Parks and I like this one the best.
Best trail experience with my family. Lots of shade and very clean. You can enjoy the free animals like bunnies, tinny squirrels, duck and gooses. Its lake its very relaxing.
Nice looped trail for walking, wasnt to crowded, and had open restrooms. :) overall a nice park!
Well kept Park perfect for flying RC planes in RC boats like we did. Good family atmosphere. Family friendly. good place to finally get outside and get some fresh air in some exercise.
As always plenty of space. My whole family (party of 5) had a lot of fun
Nice park, lots of green grassy areas with trees and plenty of picnic tables. Playgrounds, volleyball courts, baseball diamonds and tennis courts. Plenty of parking too. Restrooms are not too far away either. Small lake/pond for fishing. Good place to have a large picnics, bbqs.
Great park, has BBQ pits and benches for a weekend gathering. You have to pay for parking.
Beautiful. The most perfect park you can find around. Come here to feed the ducks and be free. So open, really huge park. Fields like the shire from the lord of the rings like everywhere. They also got a museum you can check out some old fossils from back in the day when they found em in the areas of the park its really awesome. Then ya got the non stop really spacey areas where you can bbq and start a little pit. Hiking trails all along the park. Just dont get attacked by the ducks!!
Beautiful and spacious park with multiple playgrounds for the kids.
Love this place I love the beauty and the hiking mountain even took my sons prom pictures here
3 dollar entry is fair for this beautiful park
First time going to this park. Very big. Love the lake and the walking trails. Will definitely go again!!
Went here last weekend and was wary that it might be closed but was beyond grateful it was open to the public for recreation! Not too many people were there, each group was very considerate of social distancing. My friends and I had a paint date set up under one of the many trees and grass areas in the park. You can walk, set up a picnic spot, go hiking, or just ruminate under a tree/shady spot! We had such a lovely time here, finally outside of the home, but still feeling safe because of everyones consideration of social distancing.
The American Park.... our Sunday afternoons.... Church outings.... Family gatherings... and BBQs.... mmm.... Afternoon tennis matches and baseball games... how about some fishing.... its all available here.... Bright sunny days..and lazy afternoons... why not take a walk or go for a light jog.. it makes life a bit better through all the suffering.... smile more and say hello to your fellow Park attendants.
Great place to bring the fam to relax and enjoy.
This is a very well maintained park. Clean and the facilities work. I also like that the park offers so many activities in a small, well kept area.
The place speaks for itself. Great for families.
You must pay for parking, but the park is beautiful and clean. My little ones liked walking around looking at the ducks (we also saw a big pelican in the pond!), playing at the playground, and enjoying a picnic before leaving.
Nice clean great place for family picnic and theres a lot of blugills if kids like fishing
Took my son fishing there because he wanted to see if he was able to catch any fish with the sweedish gummy fish. As you can imagine not a single bite but it was worth it since its spending time with my son at a clean and beautifully large park.
Great park fishing, walking, and RC cars and trucks.
Very beautiful park. Has places to take photos for special events like proms and weddings. When I went many parts of the park were closed off. (The bridges). Also you have to pay a $5 parking fee to park vehicles inside of the park. Dog friendly. They say you can have dogs off the leash but I saw a couple of people who did to play fetch with pets. I went with my dog so obviously I didnt care that dogs were off their leash.
Its a great Park for the kids and to roller blade with the kids as u can see haha ️
Super pretty when the suns out and has good mini trails to go on for leisurely walks. Has a place to play baseball, tennis, and volleyball. The place also has multiple playgrounds, wide open fields, and grills (although the grills are pretty dirty). It also has a small book shelf where you can put books and take book for free. A serene place to relax, run, or have a party.
Been going to this park since I was little always nice and clean! They have a lot of bluegill in the lake again little cheese or piece of hotdog they go crazy! Watch out for the turtles there are a ton!
Had a half of a free day in between Disney parks. Went and got some steaks. Nice semi private areas. Grills worked perfect on the rib eyes. Paid the 5 dollar parking fee to support the park and for convenience. Great afternoon!
This is a great park to hike or jog as it has a good amount of small hills to go up.
Very beautiful park to spend with the family and have a hike with
Loved this place to hike my baby Mercedes and I loved the trail. Very clean and safe
Very clean and green. There is a small trail as well.
Beautiful little trails surrounded by wildflowers. Great place for exercising, fishing, some recreational sports. They have tennis courts, baseball fields, volleyball nets as well as a small playground for kids. Saw some bbq charcoal grills for anyone wanting to have a bbq party. Monday to Friday $3 per car entry. Saturday and Sunday is like a $1-2 more.
Nice Park my dogs love it here
Amazing and beautiful. perfect for anything that you want to do!
The guy at the front and the girl are both amazing and hard working I love their attitude
It is fantastic place to hang out with family. And it is good to exercise as well.
The interpretive center is full of local fossils and great information about changing landscapes and regional Geology. Great hiking trails with awesome local geology (folds/fossils/ancient beach) Recommend!!!
Big, clean and full of playgrounds, lakes and tennis courts..I highly recommend for families with kids
Has lots of shade and beautiful open areas
Nice and Quiet place. There is a small wooden box that contains many books. You can burrow it and put it back when you are done. Great place to walk
Awesome place .very open and spacious. Good for walking /running
This is a great outdoor space with a little something for everyone. Plenty of open space where you can fish, play sports or hike along the trail loop at the end of the park.
Nice good sized park, I come here to relax and enjoy the shade...
Very peaceful good place to run or take your dog for a walk.
Love this place!!!Easy to find with plenty of parking space inside the park. You can also find free parking on the street, but it a longer walk. The park itself is great!! Specially for dog lovers like myself. There are plenty of spots to take doggie pictures too But overall this is a very family oriented and safe park
Nice park to walk and have a picnic in...
This park has alotof shade, Pondes with water and very clean. Its just a great relaxing place
Beautiful park with lake, sports area, paved paths, picnic benches, trash cans & bathrooms. Id spend frequent more often if I had time & no COVID-19 to avoid.
Close to my home, very well maintained with a lot of amenities for outdoor food/fun
Small park with lakes and BBQ areas. Here is interpretive center with fossils exhibition.
This beautiful, well maintained park has multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, volley ball courts, and baseball fields. The manmade lake is filled with migrating birds. We have seen pelicans, cormorants, herons, different kinds of ducks, geese, and other water fowl. It is a great place to take a walk.
This park big and clean but it can feel a little over crowded on saturdays but its a beautiful park.
$5 to park is well worth it! We loved our time here. Plenty of clean playgrounds to enjoy, really loved the museum!! Cant wait to come back.
I come here all the time with my friends, and we always have fun here. You have to pay to park in the park but you can always park on the main street, or in The Hat parking lot. There is a lake, a damn, and sports arena, as well as playgrounds, and picnic tables.
A wonderful regional park with a nice lake and an incredible Interpretive Center. Stop by and learn about Dinosaurs that roamed Southern California long ago.
Discovered this park when I wanted to find a nice place to take my young son on excursions. Its bigger than I thought, has a small lake for fishing and several playgrounds for the kids. It also made a great place to hold my sons first birthday party.
Large space with BBQ grills, lake for casual fishing, bench, baseball field, as well as kids playground. There are lots of ducks, geese, and even a pelican near the lake. There is a small fee for parking and I personally dont like the fact that the entire playground is all sand.
Great park, first time here and it was pleasant and peaceful the only down fall is if you need to leave you will have to pay the re entrance fee everytime.
One of my favorite places to fish! Catch and release on the Large Mouth Bass!!! Everything else is fine I believe. #staybentanglers #fishyourcity
Except the dog owner who didnt lash on their dog, this park is the great place to take a walk.
Nice park to walk and for picnic
Theres at least 3 different playgrounds to take your kiddos. The park is pretty big with a little pond/lake where geese love to frolic. Theres also a hiking/walking trail all around the perimeter of the park that extends to several different hiking trails in the surrounding neighborhood, the only thing that bothers me is the location and lack of restrooms.
Nice peaceful place to go.
Good place for running and taking a walk to clear your mind
A little bit of nature in the city. Walk on sidewalks in the middle of the park for an easy stroll. Walk around the edge of the grass and see some wildlife. Take to the trails and challenge yourself. Keep your eyes open you never know what youll see.
This park is awesome! I have been going since I was six.
Love this park! You can pay to park inside or take advantage of street parking. Trails are well maintained and clean!
Very nice park! Everything seems well maintained. There are some nice trails to hike too.
One of a few places open for tennis during Covid-19
I love this park. The scenery of hills and trees every where is just beautiful. The walking trail is perfect for a good beginner hike. And my son loves the playground !
Plenty of parking and bathrooms are clean and stocked!
Great place to take your kids ., good for birthday party, fishing, jogging, play soccer or baseball there are 2 fills also there is a little museum 3 playgrounds . The park is very clean they charge $7 dollars parking but you can park on the street is free .
I live this park its very clean and very green there are plenty of places to park on a weekday and read or nap in peace. or you can walk the trail around the perimeter get some good cardio, not to mention the cool viewpoint. good for the little ones to play. overall I love this park I just wish there was a basketball hoop and I could give a 5 starr review but over all this is an A+ park.
