They run their park like every community should, i have driven through the park many times thinking about purchasing, it looked neat and was extremely quiet. Unfortunately I never was able to purchase a home from them after reading they dont allow large dogs, and could never get rid of my pup, but thats what happens when people ruin it for everyone else. I moved into another park and own my home free and clear but unfortunately this park is not run with enforced rules, so the good tenants have to suffer! My park does no maintenance, never returns phone calls, my yard has had a broken water pipe underground for almost 3 years now and i pay a stupid amount for lot rent $430 a month :/ Lucky for me in a sense the wife will be done with college in a few years and we can leave the state. Keep up the good work Linnhaven!!!
Read- Read-Read what the owners expect of the tenants in the park! I will be the first to say that I didnt read some of the items listed and got a heavy handed knock at the door. I got fined over $100 for my septic tank having feminine products in it. I didnt tell my family to not flush their items so it was my fault and I paid promptly. I got a discount for being a first timer and new tenant for messing up. I had Jeff the electrician (Business name) put a generator electrical box on the pole outside my home and it was wrong to do that without asking. However, Jeff told me a lie and said that he does this all of the time here in the park and it was okay to put it up. Never, ever, take anyones lip service that they know the rules other than Kit-Kurt- or Kayla. Do not drive fast here - Do not add on or take down anything without permission, its that simple.
Well i was so content there! i would come again. i had the end mobile and . i saw no problems . other than i was afraid my parakeet might die from sprays . very quiet park and i had an amazing sea life there . only reason i left if i had a big mass found in my chest and had to return to hopkins. it was not cancer! miss the place so very much . leslie.
Quiet community with caring staff!!
I purchased a new mobile home and moved into Linn Haven Mobile Home Park approximately 3 years ago. I am very happy with how well maintained this park is kept, how quite and affordable it is in comparison to other mobile home parks. By setting standards for the tenants to follow avoids the community from looking like a junk yard. Would you like to look out your front door to an unsightly mess in the neighbors yard,I sure the answer would be NO. I appreciate how very prompt they are in getting any repair needs done in a very professional and courteous manner. They do a fantastic job with the plowing of the roads throughout the park during snow storms. This parks location is perfect for me. The convenience to shopping, food and entertainment are all within 2-5 miles of the park. I have looked around prior to moving into this park and am so very happy to have chosen this park. The other parks are NOT as well maintained trust me when I say this as I have listened to tenants from other parks speak of the mess there park is in, in comparison to Linn Haven which is mostly because it is owner operated. Other parks are not owner/operated and are owned by people who do not live in the State of Maine therefore they hire Property management companies and subcontract the property maintenance to local companies who do not maintain the parks the same as the owner/operator parks do. So if you are looking for a clean, quiet affordable and well maintained park to live, this is the park for you. If you do not like to adhere to the rules set forth by the park owners then you may want to look elsewhere.
We searched for a Park in Brunswick, ME. area, and after much driving and looking, we felt that Linnhaven Mobile Home Center looked the best to us, as it appeared to be Really well cared for.We decided this was the best Park for us, and proceeded with ordering a Mobile Home and talking to the Office folks here about moving it in.We were certainly satisfied with the site they had for us, and agreed to take that one. By the time the Mobile Home arrived, the site was all set, and ready to move onto. Everything went very well!We have been here about 6 months or so and are VERY satisfied! The Park is well kept-up, and it shows! Are there rules - of course, and they are certainly the reason that it IS always looking so great. It is always mowed in the Summer, AND they have sufficient, modern, Equipment for proper snow-removal in the Winter, so the roads are kept up well!!We have found the Park to be extremely quiet, and it certainly feels safe when “out and about walking around the park”, with folks talking and speaking... Meeting another vehicle in the Park normally results in a wave from the other driver! It just makes one “feel good”....
Absolutely disgusting with how people are treated that live there. Would not suggest living there.Reply to owners response:You are unbelievable. Get your facts straight before accusing someone of something. The lady you speak of is not me. I do not live there and never will. I dont even live in the state. I have, however, witnessed your care of people and its not nice.
My husband and I have been here for over 25 years yes it does have rules but its simple mow your lawn paint things as needed dont speed maintain your mobile home if you cant do it they can help scott works on on homes in the park when need of repair never had a problem with Kitt or kert they bust there backs and thanks for the hard work guys great safe place
Approximately 4 years ago, I decided to down size and move from MA to Maine. At the time, I was looking for a quiet and well maintained mobile park to live in. Unfortunately I was not able to find such a place. Someone then referred me to Linnhaven. As I researched this park and then drove through, I was amazed to find how well maintained, and well kept this park was. After four years of living at Linnhaven, I can honestly say, I made the right decision. There are policies and procedures for living in the community that continue to ensure a peaceful, clean environment for the residents of the park. Yet, no matter where we live such policies and procedures exist. I do not find, paying my rent, and maintaining my property to be an unreasonable request, and the reasonable due diligence on the part of the owners only ensures the safety and well being of all the residents. During the past four years, I have enjoyed my association with Linnhaven and the owners, and hope to continue this relationship in the years to come.
I never participate in these forums because venting is so prominent. But, I am happy to lend my support to this community and the Scarponi family who provide it. As for these kind of forums. My philosophy regarding these forums is: Those who shout the loudest should least be listened to. Instead do your own research. Doing that here is as simple as going for a walk and interacting with the residents. Believe me, it wont take long to understand how nice a place this is. Im a long term resident for over 20+ yrs and very familiar of how hard this family has worked to provide such a welcoming, safe and clean community. Any concerns or questions Ive had along the way were solved with a quick conversation with Kit or other members of the staff. I would also echo the many other positive comments made here and would welcome all into this community. It is the best in the area.
In June of 2018 we placed our two story, three bedroom home on the market. As seniors looking for security, low maintenance, comfort, and friendly neighbors we turned to Linnhaven. We found the perfect new unit with a front porch and with Kaylas expert help purchased the home and moved in early August. Kit has been outstanding in his help and suggestions and we settled in. We appreciate the services offered and will occasionally use them. The rules are made to ensure we have clean, peaceful living conditions and that is what we want. We have been greeted warmly by all other residents weve met. Family and friends who have visited are amazed at how well-run and efficient the park is. Thanks for providing the perfect environment for our senior years.
Linnhaven is a great place to live. I moved here in 2017. I enjoy a safe, friendly community. The Scarponi family is dedicated to keeping the park well maintained and drama free. There are services available to assist you if you need maintenance help. I love being in a country setting so close to shopping and conveniences.
We were looking for a place to move 5 years ago after retiring. We moved here because of the rules. We didnt want to live with trash. This place feels very safe and it is very clean and quiet.
We were disappointed that you do not rent mobile homes. Nice place though and people are helpful. Would be a 5 if you did.
When you join linnhaven Mobile Home Park you are given a set a reasonable guidelines that that benefits well being of all of all who live here. Follow them and everyone benefits. Drive through the park and see for yourself what a peaceful and will maintained neighborhood looks like. I love living here, thank you to the owners who worked tirelessly and all the neighbors who follow the guidelines. For the bad apples who choose to do otherwise and use social media to ruin a family operation reputation PLEASE MOVE, we wont miss you
I am so impressed with how quiet and well maintained the grounds are. The staff has always been helpful and nice. I can only imagine the bad reviews are coming from people who didnt follow the rules because this place is immaculate and serene. My first drive through there was a slight breeze and it smelled like the sea. 10/10 would recommend to others
I just want to take a moment and say that my husband and I love this park. The owners are very kind and very generous. We are disappointed and concerned that someone posted a review under my husbands name, Dana Lord, stating the rules are too strict. This was NOT done by my husband. I have reported the review to Google services, because this person impersonated my husband. We love this park because it is safer. It is quiet, clean, very well maintained, and rates are very reasonable. We feel safe living in this community. We are very thankful to be here.
(read all the negative reviews and damage control this this guy is trying to do pretty sure hes making peeps leave a review or pay a fine look at all the high scores with only 1 review) I feel bad for anyone that lives in this trailer park owner is a control freak who likes to fine people for the dumbest stuff I strongly advise not moving in to this trailer park he will make your life a living hell (reply to owners comment) For the record Im not from the state of Maine!! Ive not once ever tried to live here I have family and friends that live in this trailer park so you can add liar to his list of bad characteristics also if you get too old youll be thrown out as well or fined until you cannot afford to live there ask anyone thats lived there they regret living there
I have lived. Here for the last five years and it is a great place. A few rules are for the smooth running of the parkThe scarponi family are very helpful. It is a great place to live.
Thank you to the Scarponi family for providing a safe, quiet and clean park. With some 300 lots and even more residents, this cannot be a simple task. In the more than 2 decades I have lived here, I have not had to tolerate loud parties, trash accumulating on the grounds around the homes, numerous police calls to neighbors homes, broken down vehicles settling into driveways, etc. Instead, as I look out my windows I see homes maintained as I myself want my own home maintained. This is due in great part to the rules set forth by the park owners - rules which I have heard some disparage, but to my mind benefit us all - and the diligence with which they are enforced. Linnhaven is a very nice place to live.
My wife and I have resided here at Linnhaven for over twenty years. The Scarponi family commitment to keeping the park clean and the residents safe is admirable. The staff has responded quickly and efficiently each time we needed help with maintenance and repairs or referred us to others when needed. The park is truly a community. Thank you Scarponi family.
I have lived here for a year now, and I love it. Its quiet, safe, and the sunset views over the blueberry field are always beautiful and sometimes spectacular. The whole place is incredibly well maintained. The owners and staff take care of any and every problem right away and as a result roads, lots and homes are always in great shape. I am a down-sizer, and was seeking a smaller, simpler home, and this is totally it. And the Blue Angels fly right over the park during the summer air show. How cool is that?
Linnhaven is a good place for good people. If you cant follow rules and have a tendency to rebel against them, then you dont deserve to live here. This is the most affordable, well-kept, safest community I have experienced, and it is due to the rules that have been set for the members of the community. The management is completely on top of any and all tasks that need to be done, and will take care of everyone who does their part in being a good tenant. This is the most structured, highest quality mobile home park.
Ive lived at Linnhaven for over 7 years. It is not like other mobile home parks. The owners have a fairly strict code of upkeep for homes but it makes sure the park is very well maintained and does not fall into the trappings of disrepair and squalor other mobile home parks fall into. The neighborhood appears nice and tidy and Ive never been embarrassed to tell someone I live here. I highly recommend it to people who are looking for a clean, quiet community to be a part of.
This is an amazing community with great owners who truly care about the park and the people who live there. The grounds are well kept and located in a great area, just a few minutes from town. Overall, great place to live!
All of the negatives you see the landlord responding to, with gross accusations, are his attempt to make everyone who leaves because of them, look like it was his fault. As you read his responses, youll find updates where he accused them of things they never did. This is a DANGEROUS place to live. You will never have stability and you will have an endless amount of fines unless you purchase his companies lawn mowing and slow plowing services, as if it rains overnight he will fine you for a half inch of grass growth. And if it snows that night, you will have a fine that morning .Its not as if people are leaving their lawns a mess or their driveway full of snow. Hes using his leverage to throw out fines over the smallest of things until you give in and pay him to do the things he fines you for, and im talking about, grass growing over night, a literal inch of snow in your driveway. Its baffling. You are threatened with eviction monthly . if youre a family, you need stability for your children .This man will harrass you and scream at you in front of your children .This is traumatic for these kids who are now scared mommy and daddy are in trouble. Over an inch of snow or grass .Now, the landlord has no idea who i am that is posting this, but he will come up with something, as he has done with everyone elseAll the positive reviews are sad attempts made by his wife, kids, his neice who works at the office. None of the positive reviews are from actual renters. Hence why the landlord responds to them right away raving that theyre such good tenants. Im sorry, but unless hes lying, hes not saying anything positive about the people he rents toAnd everyone there hates him. Had a door to door with everyone home. Multiple occasions. Not one person who was home had anything nice to say and are hoping to move out quickly. I mentioned the online positive reviews, and they too laughed .Not a safe place for children or anyone hoping for a quiet stable place. Expect endless harassment. Stress. And eviction
Linnhaven is a safe, quiet, and well maintained community that is tucked just minutes away from the downtown area and local high school. Owned and run by a wonderful local family who take great pride in ensuring and upholding the highest quality and standard for their residents.
Unbelievable, the way that this man runs his business. Nice young lady at the office but dont deal with that owner Kitt. First rate jerk and raises his voice to try and talk down to you. This photo is of the jerk below.
I have resided at the Linnhaven Mobile Home Center for nigh onto 15 years and would highly recommend it as a well managed, convenient, and very satisfactory place to live.
I moved into linnhaven park almost 3 years ago. I find the community friendly and very quiet. It is well maintained and I feel very safe here. I have always found Kayla and Kitt Scarponi to be very responsive to my needs and both of them treat me with the utmost respect. I have never encountered any negative experiences with either one of them . I am very happy to live here and would recommend it to anyone.
I’ve got to say that I’m very tired of reading negative reviews about Kitt. I have known Kitt for a few years now, and have found him to be a very caring and helpful person. There are those that can’t follow simple rules and therefore lash out against the man on social media. I hope it makes them feel better, cause most of us know hes not the monster that they make him out to be. The Scarponi family work very hard to make this community the way that it is. It’s clean..it’s quiet...it doesn’t break the bank living here...it has a very relaxing atmosphere, and the neighbors that live around me are absolutely wonderful.
Very clean quiet and friendly place to live
I moved into this park nearly 4 years ago. I heavily researched all the parks from Lewiston-Auburn all the way down to Kittery and drove through them all! I decided on this park for several reasons; First and foremost, the owner and family presence in the park. It ensures that it is well monitored, safe and very well maintained. Second was location, location location! Linnehaven is in a great, convenient location to all major job markets on the edge of a quaint college town on the beautiful coast of Maine. The downtown is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell painting and the train to Boston is here as well. It is no wonder why we have so many snowbirds. Third, It has the best rates and is the cleanest I have seen! It feels like an affordable condo living experience in a new age mobile home that is nicer and much lower maintenance than the traditional homes in which I have lived and owned. When I have had a problem they have listened and helped trouble shoot solutions. I highly recommend Linnehaven if you wish to live in a clean, quiet and safe community.
Mobile home parks have a bad reputation for being poorly maintained, run down places. Linnhaven avoids this by having a plain set of rules that are strongly adhered to. There are no messes and homes are kept to upkeep standards. The result is a clean, quiet place to live. Some people are turned off by having to follow basic rules, but the result is well worth it.
The owners of the Park make sure persons follow reasonable rules so the park is very neat and tidy and increases the value of the homes. It is a quiet well kept Park with affordable park rents. 5 STARS
We have lived in the park for 17 years kitt scarponi has never yelled at us he has always been easy to go to if you have a problem with your mobile home our neighbors are great the park is clean and quiet we follow the park rules and have had no problem with the owners its a safe park to live in Bernadette and Don Pelletier 30 scarponi
I dont live there but i know people who do. i quess this place has way to many rules for what it is.
They have so many rules they dug up my dads flowers on him because they dont like anything but grass growing
I service this beautiful and well run, in fact the BEST run community living center Ive ever known. The Scarponinis have EARNED my respect by uncompromising their standards.
I can tell you first hand... Resident satisfaction is paramount to the owners.
Lived here several years ago. The owner, Kit, is undoubtedly one of the most psychopathic people ive ever met in real life. And that is eerie. You WILL get fined for everything. The grass a centometer too tall? Fine.ANYTHING OUTSIDE: FINED. So dont expect to enjoy lounging on patio furniture. Or having a garden. The snow melts and your cars tire is on the grass by an inch? FINED.If you dont warn your guests to pay attention to the speed limit pulling in? FINED.Dont plow your driveway in time? FINED.But dont worry! linnhaven offers a solution to all the fines! Just pay them every month upwards of 60 dollars be it summer or winter for them to do it, because if you let any of those things happen longer than a few hours.... FINED.Not to mention, Kit is like hell incarnet. Hes an evil man. He is rude, he is nasty, and I felt scared to even be around that man .I left and purchased a home in another park in another town and couldnt be happier. My landlords are all angels. The park is still beautiful without the fines or constant threats of eviction. I can cut my own grass at a normal schedule and my grass is never over a few inches. That would NEVER have gotten past Kit.The other 1 star reviews are precisely the same experience i endured. Whether they were truly evicted or not i dont know. Not my business. But they WERE honest.Any 5 star reviews must be from family or friends or have been paid because i dont know how anyone could live in that park and enjoy Kit ruling over them like peasants in his kingdom. But this is my opinion. Freedom of speech.
The park looks nice enough but there is an element to the place most, if not all people have a hard time living with. The owner kit. He is a bully and a tyrant. He cares nothing for you save for you using your money to make his park look the way he wants it. Have recycling? Well you cant use the blue bin the town provides because you will get a fine of $25. Driving too fast fine of $25, late with rent fine $25, oil on the driveway fine, the list goes on. This man will be at your house to harass you every day until you conform and obey. Not even the rent is competitive any more. Ive been here two years and the rent has gone up by $10 three times. I have nothing nice to say about the owner. The only real reason anyone does as he asks is because they dont want to see his face, I know I dont. This guy kit is one of the worst humans Ive had the misfortune of having to interact with. Ive seen three people on my street alone get pushed out of the park because of this guy. Very soon the linnhaven trailer park will be perfect because no one will be living here. If I was you I would find another place to live other than linnhaven trailer park. Oh and I gave it one star because I was forced. The only way I was able to past was to give it a star.
Very crude man, never ending fines with greedy intentions. Put my bike outside for one day instead of the shed and got fined $25. Had one tire of my car on the grass and got fined $25, cleaned out my shed for a couple of hours, went inside to have lunch and fined me for having my garbage out. Its rediculous to the point where its harassment.
Childhood memories of grouchy owners
Well maintained and upscale
Extremely neat and tidy, but boring.
Disappointed do not suggest dealing with this businesss
