Lovely place to hike around. Some areas have the trail washed out. Ive also experienced people on small electric motorcycles driving around the main sections. Lots of small paths and approaches that get very steep suddenly that might be dangerous if youre walking/running around too quickly and not paying attention. I found the steep sections quite fun myself and the bottom with the small waterfall and brook is lovely.
I liked it a lot. Some nice areas if you want to keep it relaxed, then there are some more challenging areas if you want to get your adventure on. My partner does not get as excited about the more challenging parts of hikes as I do but she was able to manage this this one so it was a great middle ground. Only negative was that it was a bit difficult to actually find the small waterfall but after getting turned around a few times we finally did it.
We didnt spend much time here, but the park is beautiful and perfect for short hikes. Lots of elevation changes to get the blood pumping and heart rate up.
Tucked away in an urban area it is a nice place to walk and explore. They need signage to better help navigate the way. We never found the waterfall.
Ive yet to find the waterfall. But, we do let the kids walk at the creek area below. It’d be nicer if the city removed the tank from the creek though.
Access is challenging for casual walkers, but a nice little hidden gem.Directions to falls: From the Birch street trailhead, go down hill, left at the sign, right at the next trail fork, then look for another branch on the left. Follow this down the stairs to the creek. Follow the creek upstream, by whatever path fits your ability until you reach the small falls.
Fairly easy walk, beautiful trails. Really enjoyable during summer!
Great walking path down the steep banks of a washed out ravine to a small trickling Creek in what looks a dry Creek bed. Big ferns and old concrete culverts dot the ravine floor making and beautiful afternoon outing.
While a beautiful oasis inside Bremerton, it is poorly maintained and hard to navigate in places.
Very good my dog enjoy it
Love these woods great little walk.
Nice pretty place to go for a little hike, small hike not very big!
Great little place to hike, my dogs enjoyed it too!
Very peaceful. Nice trails. Lots of cool spots to sit and recharge the soul.
Well maintained with a few different trails and a little creek. Its not spectacular but its refreshing to have a little access to the woods in the middle of Bremerton.
A good place to got for a relaxing walk and enjoy some fresh air. Also a good place to take the pups for a walk.
They have some great trails that are pretty well maintained by the city and community. Planning on expanding the trails this Saturday. It also is clean with little to no trash.
Nice little walking place, it would have been better if we couldve get closer to the waterfall.
Great walking trails, scenic views and wild anilmals
Beautiful trail. Some steep spots, but really calming walk. I did find honey mushroom, turkey tail mushroom, and also a few medow mushrooms. Water fall if you follow the creek.
Nice except the homeless people living back there in the summer.
Cute. Cool temps on a hot day. Nice creek or at least a creek when we went. We will be going back. I think its one of those hidden gems that the locals hope visitors never find.
Its pretty but i dont quite understand the trail system. Steep climb but it tuckered out the dog
My 6 y/o and I visited this today and he loved the jungle. Some places were a bit steep for him and it could have been a lot more clearly marked but had lots of fun.
Great place to go for a quick hike, especially because it takes only a few minutes to get here.
A nice little hideaway trail. Could use some upkeep, but still a fun little trail system.
Open, friendly, lots of routes, great organized maps,
I never knew there was a hiking trail there until I was hiking there earlier today. It was neat but its the middle of summer so there are spider webs literally everywhere and they kept getting in my face
Its a nice wonderful nature walk
Surprising, immersive nature experience in the heart of Bremerton. Trails are mostly in good condition and the signage is well done.
Best secret in Bremerton. My family and I like to spend hot days down by the creek
The canyon has really improved since i was young, thanks to a lot of hard work from the community! Its a nice place for a nature hike, without having to leave town. There arent any benches or a restroom, which is fine, but does limit my visit times. :)
Absolutely stunning natural beauty, but watch for broken glass. Sad that such a beautiful area is marred by trash. I carried out a handful to try to help and had trouble finding a public trash can. Still, this place is a gem and I will return. I just wish people would take better care.
Nice bit of nature in the middle East Bremerton.
Beautiful
Nice ruggedness, needs directional arrows or markers... some of the trails partially washed out. One camper tent, man with dog,Very tranquil setting, undecided if I will return...
Beautiful
Such wonderful beauty, right in the heart of Bremerton! My kids never wanted to go home.
I loved it. Im a California Baby beaches and bleached tips, joints and snow trips but no I have never been in the wilderness like this but if your like me new to the atmosphere embrace it because its beautiful and nature is truly at peace I got to witness that on this hike
Great. Much more wildernessy than youd expect in city limits. Nice little waterfall. We took our 3 boys and dog all through the trails and falls area. We had a great time. There are more trails than on the map which makes efficient navigation more difficult, but all roads lead to the stream. We went on a Saturday in July and only saw one other group the whole time.
We just walked through here. Ok if you are just walking your dogs. Really random off shoots of pathways that make it hard to know where to go. We couldn’t find how to get down to the waterfall. A bit disappointed.
Beautiful with a little creek inside but absolutely nothing is marked and so many offshoots of the trail its extremely easy to get lost went down a couple of trails that dead ended if Trails were marked I would come back but if theyre not too easy to get lost in the woods
Love the woods. I enjoy coming here to get away from everyday things.
A little bit unsure of the neighborhood, but the trails were fun.
It is a cute walk, but as a hiker I dont like how you pick a trail and you have to back track due to dead ends. It is fun if you have kids that love to play in water. The stream is small and has a couple of great places to sit.
Found it very dirty. drug bags. needles. homeless. But we made the best of it and had a good walking up the river
Nice and clean trail. Fun with the kids
Loved it!! Too bad the person that took me there wrecked it for me by turning into a HUGE dirtbag.. I hope in time Ill be able to go back and make even better memories ...
Has parking lot and trailhead map. We were not able to find the waterfall but will definitely go back and try again.
Great intermediate hike!
Scenic forrested area with walking trails. Seems like youre in the country, right in the middle of East Bremerton. Just a stones throw from Lions park!
Awesome trails. Small, but fun.
Daylight hours only, please. This is a light hike for people to enjoy within the city limits and neighborhood of Bremerton. However, be aware that homeless people sometimes try and camp out and must be reported immediately to keep this a safe environment for everyone.
I didnt even go here but it looks okay..
Its a beautiful place to go for a day hike. It looks small on the map but it is deceptively large. There are a few difficult trails to hike if youre into that sort of thing.
Paths are falling apart and need to be maintained
Ok except the homeless guy named Bob hes a little hostile cuz they doubled his rent and now him and his dog reek are homeless
Great backwoods in town hike!
Kind of sketchy but great hiking
Nice wooded area good place to relax and good place for a small hike to exercise
While its not terriable sometimes the trail is hard to walk due to overgrowth and iv spotted a few homeless camped out before
Its very beautiful and peaceful. Hidden in the middle of Bremerton
Nice trails, good place to forest bathe, that is to just wander around a trail and breathe in fresh air.
A nice place in town for a walk. Plenty of trails. Lots of hills
Great place for walking and exploring. Good for rock hunting aswell
Best place ever
Peaceful and good exercise
Beautiful and Peaceful
Beautiful trail following a canyon. The adventurous can hike down to the creek and follow it if youre not afraid of getting wet at the narrow points.
Pleasant hike but overgrown and not maintained. Worst of all was access (parking) and worrying about car being broken into.
I found a box...and some.interesting history. I will hopefully make it baxk there soon to explore the extent.
Great trails for hiking with the dog
Fun little hike.
Short but intense. Arthritic knees beware
Path isnt that taken care of as well as a ton of homeless people everywhere and there was trash everywhere
Great piece of wilderness in the middle of the city.
Great place nice trails, hills and creek.
A little sketchy but beautiful
I would give 5 stars but there were a couple of areas that smelled like septic waste...
Can’t even access this anymore. Too bad.
A great cardio workout
Good relaxing area
Get your walking shoes ready, theres some steep grades. Come up its been Sunny for a while because it could be muddy.
Awesome
Love the hike!
Found an Ingress portal tere.
