Survival swim isnt just for babies and toddlers. My 12 and 8 year old kids learned valuable, life-saving water skills from Ms. Allison. I was amazed to watch them practice new techniques and gain more confidence for swimming in open water at beaches as well as pools. Ms. Allison is very patient and my kids loved learning from her. Mrs. Allison is the best swim survival instructor we could have ever hoped for. My 3 year old son went from hating water even on his head during bath time, to being able to fully swim under water in a pool, can reach the sides to pull himself out, float completely on his own. I know that should the need ever arise, he can survive til help arrives. I can not stress how important swim survival is and shes amazing and very patient with the little ones!! Allison was an amazing swim instructor to my daughter. My daughter is 10 months old so I was nervous to start her with swim lessons but Allison was so amazing and gentle to my baby. She made me feel super comfortable and was very accommodating. She was very loving and patient during lessons and now I feel more comfortable knowing that my child knows survival swim.

My son was premature and was rushed to NICU at birth. He spent his first year in and out of the hospital with a feeding tube. Twice, I witnessed him not breathing. He would aspirate drinking a bottle and was in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech until he was 3 years old. I was super afraid of him getting in the water after his intense medical past. My son was discharged from therapy and has overcome so many medical obstacles so I began thinking that I didn’t want to let my fears pass onto him. After reading review upon review on Ms. Allison, I found that parent after parent mentioned how fantastic she is with children. I figured we would give this a shot when he was 3 1/2.I was absolutely amazed with her demeanor towards my son. I have been around so many therapists and doctors with my son and Ms. Allison ranks one of the highest on my list with how she teaches and gets children to listen. Right away, she gained his trust with her kindness and he got in the water. Even in his first few weeks of lessons, there were minimal tears (a lot less than I expected). During the times my son would cry, Ms. Allison never lost her calm composure and would quiet his fears and get him to be brave again.Ms. Allison has not only taught my son but has given me confidence knowing he is safe in the water. These lessons are invaluable and worth a big investment. You won’t be disappointed choosing her.

Allison is absolutely wonderful. My 8, 5 and 3 year old all took classes with her. Day 1 of swim to the present is drastically different. From screaming kids who held on for dear life to kids who can float well and swim underwater even better than me Thankyou Allison for your patience with my babies ️

Allison is not only an exceptional mom and educator, she is patient and understanding. She nurtures and cares for each child as if they were her own. Extremely observant and absolutely precise with her Swimming and water safety instruction. She goes the extra mile to be certain that every child in her program can confidently and competently save him or herself should they get to the water without an adult. Every child should have this training. Living in a place where there is so much water guarantees that tragedy can happen quickly. The water is an unforgiving environment. Allison trains children to be problem solvers in this environment.

Highly recommended. Allison is great! Our son is autistic and she is very patient with him and very loving! He’s slowly learning what he’s supposed to do in case of falling in water. We’re very happy with the way she teaches our son and us!

Allison is an incredible swim instructor! She is patient, diligent, and thorough. My 2 year old cried for the first 6 weeks, but Allison didn’t let that hinder her lessons. She maintained patience to provide the best survival skills training. I was able to get in the pool to test my ability to practice survival skills with my daughter and it was a huge benefit to all of us. I recommend Allison to all!

After a scary pool accident with my son I was introduced to Allison and immediately started swim lessons for my son with her. Allison is absolutely amazing with my son. She is so patient and had my son without floaties after the first three lessons!! She is the calmest person I have ever met and someone I would be friends with if I happened to live in her neighborhood. Allison Hogue, with Pediatric Survival Swim, has been a wonderful addition to our immediate Riverview and Lithia area for swim instructors who are passionate about teaching children of all ages to be better swimmers and safety swimming. She is incredibly patient and understanding. Our swimmer needed some real survival lessons to be aware of his surroundings and how to be a safe swimmer. Allison has gone above and beyond making sure both us as parents understand what she’s doing while also explaining it to our child. He’s a little older and therefore, needed a little different teaching methods than little babies but she’s done an incredible job. Watching him learn to float, understand how to deal with deep water issues, getting that breath as he learns how to get to the side, scenarios with water floats and if you fall off, etc., she’s thought of it all. I would highly recommend Allison and Pediatric Survival Swim for any of your children! Her commitment to safety swimming is apparent and very appreciated in our community!
