Gotten all of my tattoos here (so far). They all do great quality work. I’m very happy with the healed results of all of them. The biggest problem when people get tattoos is not listening to the directions of how to treat it for the next few weeks. If you do everything correctly, you’ll have positive results.

This is one of those shops that just feels like home from the moment you walk in. I brought a friend here for an appointment she had scheduled some weeks in advance and decided to see if I could add something small to my collection while I waited. The artists were beyond happy to help me out and I absolutely love the lil ghosty guy I walked away with! I no longer live in the area but Im so excited to return to give him some background next time Im in Montana.

My friend and I scheduled time with Nick. We came in with simple ideas. Nick took our ideas and ran with it. He put his own artistic spin on them, and we LOVED the results.The shop was clean and had a cool setup. Everyone was very friendly. Another artist even have us some recommendations for things to do in Bozeman (were from out of town) and we had a great time.

I got a tattoo here about 8 months ago, by the big guy in the far back corner, Izzy I believe his name is. I have a lot of tattoos and this by far was the most expensive and worst looking. There was a portion of the tattoo that has many intersecting lines and he dug the needles in so far that he removed a good chunk of skin in the middle. Now there is a big white scar in the middle of my tattoo. All the black straight lines have bled out, and they are of varying thicknesses and darkness. 8 months later i am still getting infections and cysts forming under the tattoo. The ink is terrible quality, and has already started fading. He was going on about he mixes his own inks and how they are superior to other tattoo artists. For your health and out of self respect stay away from here, east main isnt much better either.

Had a very good experience for my first tattoo. My artist was friendly and professional, and gave good guidance for after care. Were very friendly to me as a walk in for a simple piece. Even offered me free touch ups for that piece. Would definitely recommend.

The experience was horrible. I did the tattoo in two sessions. DJ charged me $525 for something that looks like a prison tattoo. I asked him to fix the things I saw wrong and he said after he completed the tattoo and never did. I am embarrassed of it. He is heavy handed and has no business tattooing.

A tattoo shop that truly goes above and beyond. The tattooers are true artists, and are always friendly and willing to help. If one tattooer doesnt feel comfortable with a certain style, theyll refer you to one of their colleagues who might be better suited with it. They will also tell you if what you have in mind is a bad idea, even if it costs them an appointment, which to me, in the tattoo world, is important. They arent just out for your money, and they take pride in their work. The shop is always extremely clean and orderly, and tastefully decorated. Its certainly not your average, run of the mill tattoo shop, with black or red paint. The theme here stays true to Montana, with earthy colors and some awesome stained wood. Ive had several smaller tattoos done here, as well as a half (as of right now) sleeve, very well planned and vibrantly colored by Nick. Everywhere I go, when my arm is visible, I get stopped.

Id been to every tattoo shop in Bozeman before I came here and this was the shop I thought had the best quality, the fairest prices, and the friendliest staff. Even today when I came in exhausted after work and not making too much sense, Nick was patient and I left happy with some great work done. Sean is my go to guy and hes done an entire half sleeve on me. Easily the best shop here in Bozeman.

Great staff that will go above and beyond for a client. Dont have an appointment? Call or show up they will take time to work with you or set up the earliest availability they have. Very friendly great atmosphere awesome tattoo work.

Sean gave me my first tattoo, 10 years later and Im still getting tattooed by him. Hes not only a great tattooer but a great artist as well. Hes knowledgeable and makes sure the tattoo is exactly what you want before he starts his work. This shop is great and the dudes that work here really care about what they do. In reference to the review about a walk in for hand tattoos, its very rare youll ever be able to be a walk in at any tattoo shop and get a hand tattoo, especially in a tattoo shop that cares.

The Tattoo Alley crew is phenomenal. Every single one of them is friendly and always willing to talk with you about anything you can think of. The styles are diverse across the board so if the person you talk to doesnt quite do what youre looking for one of the others will more than likely be able to hook you up with what youre seeking.The place is very clean. They take their sanitation 110% seriously so if you have any problems with the work you get done in the shop its most likely because you werent paying attention to the after care instructions that they go through with you.DJ is the main guy I go to but if it came down to it I trust every single one of the crew to take the needles to my skin.If youre looking for a great tattoo for fair prices this shop is for you.

Sean and Nick are great guys. They are professionals and take their art seriously but the atmosphere is laid back and friendly. And, the music vibe is eclectic! The studio is clean bright!

We called ahead with 4 tattoos, showed up with 5 people getting tattoos, we had told them a design on the phone and some of us changed our mind. Loren aka Sugar was awesome! He was very patient with us and all of the changes we had made. He did an amazing job on the tattoos and they were extremely fair priced! Will recommend Loren and this shop to everyone!!!

Lack of communication, we called and said we wanted a mother daughter tattoo. After the call we got there from an HOUR DRIVE, he then said that he won’t tattoo her if she’s not 18. He could’ve said this over the phone which he did not.

This was a very clean, and professional environment! Nick listened to exactly what I wanted to have done and took the time to make sure the designs were perfect before doing the actual tattoos. I have had 2 tattoos done here and I do not plan to go any other place! Highly recommend this place!!

Worked with Izzy who helped draw up an idea I had and in less than two hours for the biggest tattoo Ive ever gotten. Cant say it didnt hurt, but Ive definitely not had a more comfortable experience!

My girlfriend and I are on vacation in Big Sky and decided to get a tattoo to commemorate our experience in the mountains. Both the guys working were incredibly nice and helpful in drawing up what we wanted. The end result was great and if we are ever back in the area we would definitely hit them up again.

When i called around the places in Bozeman, Tattoo Alley was the most friendly and helpful on the phone. I quickly and easily got an apointment set up. I was nervious because it was my first tattoo but the calm atmostphere and fun music helped ease my nerves. DJ did my tattoo and had a helpful and fun attitude the whole time. Ive only heard good things about this place. Dont let rhe literal alley scare you away!

Came in for a tattoo on the recommendation of a friend. Service was fast and friendly, but the colors mixed were not what I wanted and the simple stick figure tattoo I got has lines of such varying intensity that I am going to eventually go elsewhere to have it touched up. Parts of my tattoo never even got inked, other parts are so deep and fuzzy that it looks blurred after less than 3 months. :-(

I got tattooed here a week ago, and cannot recommend this place more! My artist was Loren- he did a fantastic job with both the drawing and the tattoo itself.

If I could give a Negative rating i would. I walked in with 4 friends wanting to get tattooed and they were rude and not helpful. We all ended up leaving. I wanted a tattoo on my finger and he said he wouldnt tattoo my hands unless I was heavily tattooed I was wearing jeans and long sleeve, he didnt know how many tattoos I had, just assumed. What does having me being tattooed heavily have to do with placement? Im aware that I would have to get it touched up in the future. Disrespectful & rude. Would not recommend. Thanks anyways guys.

I have several tattoos & my mom went to get an awesome piece on her hip & I was IMPRESSED! Im in town visiting & will definitely let them work on me! Highly recommend!

Went in for a walk-in, and they were all VERY rude. Each of the artists acted like they hated their jobs and didnt want to be there. No enthusiasm, no greeting when I walked in. I talked to a guy for a little while and decided to leave without a tattoo because he had no genuine interest at all

The guy I talked to was extremely rude and sexist, and dismissed my wish to discuss wrist tattoos, then immediately turned around and helped my fiance with his plans for his wrist tattoos. No thank you, I prefer to take my money to Chrome.
