Lovely place. Very spacious, well marked trail. The paved loop is short and mostly shaded. The yellow trail is partially shaded. No bathrooms or trash in this natural area. Bring water with you. Lots of animals, great place to let the kids run.

Tons of gopher tortoises, super cute and adorable. Also some fungi. Be careful of the sandy paths as they have HUGE RED ANT hills on them.

This is gorgeous! It has lots of shade. Can get pretty hot out there though so bring cold water! Came around 11am didnt see any tortoises but it was 90 degrees and pretty hot out, someone told us to come later on in the day to see the tortoises. There are several paths so dont listen when other people say its 1 small path. Its a pretty big space and there is even a large loop on the perimeter to walk, but no shade and all sun. I highly recommend going here! Very beautiful, lots of cactus to view. Watch out for dog poop though, its in the walk space in some of the areas.

It’s a huge park reserve with plenary of walking trails. A person can find the rare turtle fairly easily and there is no one ever there. I walk it when I am stressed out from work and it’s very peaceful.

It was lovely I saw two turtles and some spiders and some cool strange looking birds and created a nice travel video in just a few hours here.Kind of peaceful.... I never once felt like I was deep in nature I could continually hear peopl mowing and weed whacking and stuff and the highway.I found it very interesting that I came in and out of the area many times to change lenses or to grab different camera gear and always saw different empty cars like there were a bunch of people inside but never saw anyone. Its worth a stop its worth the walk. There is not one place to dispose of trash. Not one single place in the parking lot or on the grounds and so.. I saw litter quite s few times.

One of the last protected areas east of I95 in South Florida, the Seacrest Scrub Natural Area is just big enough to transport you back to a time before we were here. Theres both a concrete sidewalk path as well as beaten footpaths to follow and explore. Definitely a sanctuary and highly recommended.

WARNING THEY SPRAY DANGEROUS HERBICIDE PESTICIDES ON A REGULAR BASIS AT THIS PARK WITH NO WARNING SIGNS SO THE PUBIC WILL KNOW THAT THEY SPRAYED.They hire migrant type workers who speak no English to spray this area down and this stuff will burn your skin and make you feel very sick. How do I know? I got exposed to this stuff and I found out by asking what are they doing here and what are they spraying? This place is heavily contaminated with pesticides because they spray here so often. If you dont want to get cancer or get very sick, dont go here.It is a shame how they could destroy such a nice park.

I loved how dense it was compared to a lot of other ones. Paved path makes it wheelchair accessible and theres natural paths as well. Spiders lurk in the trees and I got a few pictures of hawks and big butterflies. Overall very nice. Hopefully theyll let it grow n get denser.

They should have a garbage bin in the parking lot. I often see the rubbish thrown around in the parking area. Also, a couple of benches to sit, one in the parking area and one somewhere inside along the walkway will be useful. My sister walks there when visiting and wishes that there was some sitting area due to her knee problem.

We went there for a morning hike. The 1.15 mile trail turned out to be one nice, relaxing place. We could hear the birds chirping and the continuous noise of cricket, and the smell of the entire area was really good. One of our teammate named the sound as Florida noise. There is a separate trail for the handicapped as well. That trail is paved, unlike the regular hiking trail. We loved our time there thoroughly.

This a 54 acre preserve that protects the rare scrub habitat which formed on top of sand dunes when the sea level fell. There arent very many of these communities left because since they were on high land and dry they were the first to be used for commercial development. There is less than 2 percent of the original scrub habitat left in Palm Beach.I came to explore the area because it is listed as a site on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail which is a network of 510 place to view wildlife across the state. Seacrest has a parking lot, bicycle rack, and an educational board. There is a gate to the trails that has a sign urging you to keep it closed to protect the gopher tortoises in the preserve from getting out. There are two trails, a paved nature trail that is .18 miles and a natural earth hiking trail that is 1.15 miles. The hiking trail is where you would need to go to see wildlife.Seacrest is home to several protected plants and animals such as the gopher tortoise. I was lucky enough to see one at the end of my hike. I also saw a cardinal in a tree. Some of the plants I saw were American Beautyberry, slash pines with their pine cones which were used by settlers for lumber, sand pines, and pokeweed which has purple and black berries that feed wildlife but are poisonous to humans. Seacrest is home to hundreds of species of plants and animals. Some mammals you might see include the Gray Fox, armadillos, Gray Squirrels, and raccoons. Unfortunately the natural area is also home to Golden Orb Spiders also known as Banana Spiders. I have never seen so many in one place. They were everywhere in the trees. If you have arachnophobia stay far away from here.Except for the spiders I enjoyed my hike here. Since the scrub pine is on top of dunes there was an incline on part of the hike. I will be back to explore more of the area when the weather cools down. Kudos to Palm Beach for saving and protecting this ecologically important area.

A great natural area to explore the not so common scrub landscape in an easily accessible location in Boynton Beach. Both paved and unpaved paths take you right in the middle of nature and offer an opportunity to observe several different bird species and see tortoise, for example.

The air smells so fresh. ️ We found this place hunting for a Letterbox. We enjoyed reading the brochure while we were walking. I want to come back to walk/run the hiking trail and maybe see a tortoise.El aire huele tan fresco. Encontramos este lugar buscando un buzón. Disfrutamos leyendo el folleto mientras caminábamos. Quiero volver para caminar / correr por la ruta de senderismo y tal vez ver una tortuga.
