My passion for art collecting developed gradually when I realized that creating art is not my forte. And although collecting is an overstatement, this passion stays with me over the years, continents, and is even being passed down to other generations. I was looking for a local artist, here in Boulder for quite some time and a few years ago saw Bill Snider’s paintings at a local gallery. I was looking for the art that would complement our modern style and not only in a painting-must-match-the-couch way (although Bill Snider’s art is absolutely perfect for that too!), but I believe that by surrounding ourselves with art that we love helps us to bring more life into our homes or challenges us to see the world from a different viewpoint. Bill has a studio in Boulder, is very accessible, and would even let you “try” his work in your own home. I prefer to acquire art this way because it is a truly enjoyable experience (and wine). It allows a very personal approach and you are able to see the work in progress in the studio. The only problem - we don’t have enough walls in our house and Bill is constantly making something new and absolutely fabulous!

I recently visited Bills art exhibition and was very impressed with his style and technique. I purchased one piece, but I will be back for more Bill! Congratulations on your show. Judy Wood
