A rather unique experience at this escape room.We did the alien one and it was such a cool experience - there were so many mechanical puzzles to solve, as opposed to the more usual electronic ones. As someone who has visited 20+ escape rooms, I highly recommend this establishment for a different exciting experience.

Being an escape room veteran from Chicago, I was impressed by the multiple rooms of the Psycho Killer room and its thoughtful, multi-layered, unique puzzles. Our game-master, Renuka (if I recall/spell correctly), was so friendly and her energy really added to the overall theme!This blew away the other, similarly priced escape rooms I’ve done in Illinois and they’re introducing new rooms next month (February)!!

We just did the escape room and for the first time it was a amazing time ! The front desk guy was helpful when we needed clues and being very professional. Was a great family and friends experience and activities. We loved it ! We will definitely do it and others again

I recently did the abduction room and really enjoyed it! The puzzles were creative, and more interesting than many other rooms in the area. The game master was very friendly and helpful. Additionally, they were taking adequate COVID precautions. The theming and story left a little to be desired, but overall a fantastic experience!

A magical first escape room experience. Some very challenging yet gratifying and clever puzzles to be solved. Very interesting and well designed. Fun to work togetheras a team towards a common goal. We solved the abduction experience with 3:45 left of our hour. Cant wait to go again and try out the other rooms!

This was a really great experience! My wife and I were on our honeymoon and we did two rooms one day - Psycho Killer and Captive - and barely managed to solve them with less than 5 minutes each. The owner was really great and made sure each of the rooms were clean and that we washed our hands before and after each room. We had such a great time and the puzzles were so well thought through that we had to come back the next day to try them all! The puzzles were all challenging but solve-able and we can’t wait to try them again if we are ever in the area.

Our first time visiting Colorado and we wanted to do something fun and challenging. We found this escape room online and I am so glad we decided to come here! The puzzles were fun to solve and were challenging but not impossible to solve. Also the guy working was awesome! He even gave us 10 extra minutes to solve the puzzle because we were so close to finishing! If we ever come back to Colorado we will definitely be visiting this escape room again!

We did the Captive room.  The puzzles were varied, challenging, and fun.  Our host was personable and engaged -- he helped to make it an enjoyable adventure for our family.

Recently visited this place for a team building activity and it was full of fun. We did the biggest one with 4 rooms challenge and completed near in time. Fun part was we have to enter a code into a vault and our one of colleague trying to do it little aggressively and some how batteries got remove inside. And we need to ask for help and owner have to override manually to open the vault after checking our code which we found out via clues. But overall it was full of fun. :)

This escape room surpassed all of our expectations. It was challenging and fun. By far the best escape experience in Colorado.

Great experience playing Captive! Started out chained to the wall but our group of four managed to escape (a little beyond the hour,) with well-placed clues by our game master Renuka.She also set us up with a free ticket for solving a lock on the front desk that had been accidentally reset by a previous group! Super fun and friendly and I highly recommend a visit!

This is a fantastic Escape Room venue! Weve done a few of these in other parts of the country but were visiting family in Boulder and decided to try this one. The storyline made sense with the room and the puzzles were very challenging and fun (we did a room rated as Hard). Our game master, Astral, was top notch too! We did need a few hints and he was skilled at getting us pointed in the right direction without giving away too much. We had a lot of fun and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience in Boulder!

Wow. This place was amazing! My husband and I went there for my birthday. We ended up getting a room to solve by ourselves. It was so challenging and fun!! And part of what made our experience so great was Renuka, she was our host and our psycho killer. She was so attentive. She was patient and didnt rush us at all. She even took the time to write down some yummy local restaurants for us since we are not Boulder locals. We are so impressed, and cant wait to go back!!

It was a fun experience! I love escape rooms and there were some really fun puzzles that I hadn’t seen in any other game I’d played before (we did the Abduction room). Two wishes of mine for the place would be to have a remote way to deliver clues so as not to break the reality of the room, and for there to be a better and more robust storyline—both would’ve helped us really get into the room and experience more I think. Would recommend to bring a flashlight or phone to help see around, as the lighting was low. Great experience regardless, would recommend and will hopefully be back!

I had an absolute blast on both of my visits. The rooms were brilliantly arranged, with a variety of puzzles to be solved that required very different problem-solving skills (spatial, engineering, analytical, etc.). You dont need to have a huge group. My wife and I tried one room as a couple, and even though we didnt quite finish, we solved several puzzles and were engaged the whole hour. I cant imagine anyone not having fun here.

The 2 rooms we did here were super fun and very different. One had lots of fun and unique puzzles and one had fewer more complicated puzzles. Both were a blast and the staff made it super fun too!

Wow! This place made a dinner date with friends into a unique and memorable evening. The clues were mostly to open combination locks, which was challenging. We agreed that it would have been nice to mix in more cerebral clues as well. But they are limited by the confines of the room so its understandable why they rely on the combination locks. There is one hour to escape. With 8 people on the room, it took us almost the entire hour and we made it out! The person working there says it is about a 30% escape rate so we felt good about that. I would suggest to try and go with a group of 8 of your friends instead of with strangers. We had a great time but would have been better if we knew everyone in the room. Regardless, it was a blast! Will go again for sure.

My escape room buddy and I joined a party of three others to escape the Psycho Killer. I enjoyed the room. The five us all had sharp and complimentary minds which made the easy room even easier. Would return if I ever returned to Boulder.

FANTASTIC!!! We had SO MUCH FUN as a team/manager outing, the game was better than I thought it was going to me - quite challenging but fun and keeps you really present in the moment. Also the owner/manager was a SAINT and super awesome for the entire time (they even allowed us to come on their day they are normally closed!) and then I left my backpack there and he was so amazing about letting me get it the next day out of hours. Honestly, dont even think about doing this - its such a fun experience, allows adults to play games too for an adult level and the customer service is outstanding. Im really grateful for all they did and Im so pleased to have tried this for the first time - I will definitely, 1000% be doing this for another team event in the future. BOOK NOW!

This was the first escape room I’ve done and really enjoyed it! My friends and I did Alien Abduction which was at a good level of difficulty. Nick and Gabe were great hosts and made the experience more enjoyable. I’d recommend Boulder Escape Room to a friend for sure!

So much fun! Weve been to other escape rooms but Gabe was a fantastic coach throughout the entire evening. They have a test puzzle to get you in the mindset (great start! ). The rooms are clean and well set up. We cannot say enough about this experience! Take an hour and enjoy a memorable event in Boulder! Thank you to Gabe and the team for a fabulous evening!

We had a blast celebrating a birthday there. We had five adults and went during the day so we had the place to ourselves. It was so much fun. The host/murderer was perfect - friendly, funny, and helpful when we needed it since it was our first time in an escape room. The props are excellent, rooms well thought out, and clues very clever. We hope to make a repeat visit at the end of this month with guests from Australia!

Psycho Killer was our fourth escape room, and our favorite. We felt that all of the puzzles, while challenging, were fair. The employee who set it up and did our orientation was great - helpful and enthusiastic. Really the only nitpick I have is the presence of a tip jar very prominently on the counter. It is the businesss responsibility to pay their good employees a good wage. Anyway, we had a great experience and look forward to going back sometime.

What a great time. We had our company team building here and it was a great experience. The room itself was great - fun and just the right level of challenge.But even better was the staff. It was Jao who helped us and he was great. Very enthusiastic. Just the right amount of support. And he made the whole experience great for all of us who showed up.Two thumbs way up.

We had a BLAST at the Boulder Escape Room! We received a Groupon as a gift and both my husband and I were pretty skeptical of escape rooms in general but left excited to do more. Staff was super friendly and helpful, great location on Pearl, and progressively harder challenges!

Our groups first time doing an escape room, and we just had a total blast. The staff was very friendly and helpful, popping in to nudge us in the right direction if we needed it. Wed done escape rooms with this company when they were in North Boulder (3 locations ago!). At the time we were impressed. More recently, their rooms seem sloppy and worn, with a theme that barely makes sense.

Fun well rounded room that was great for kids... despite names. I stayed away because psycho killer, abducted and captive didnt sound kid-friendly, but that had nothing to do with the rooms themselves. Psycho wasnt too hard, but you needed analysis, intuitive jumps and strong observation skills to win. Def go back.

Super fun trip to Boulder Escape Room. Had a big group, split up into the two different rooms. The staff was really great. All around we really enjoyed the trip.

My coworkers and I did the Psycho Killer escape room and escaped in time even with a 25% escape rate. It was a great experience and a perfect event for team building. The puzzles and riddles were challenging and fun and kept us thinking the entire time. It was a creative escape room and I liked that we did not get any help/clues from the host.

We did the Psycho Killer room here and had the time of our lives! So fun and we escaped with 1.5 minutes to go!

We were the last appointment of the day, and were unfortunately running late getting the group together at the room. The host was kind enough to hold off on starting our time until we all arrived! The adrenaline may have helped us in escaping the room, because we still escaped within half an hour, and well before the original allotted time! It was a great time with well done puzzles. Next time, well attempt the more challenging room!

Exciting, captivating, clever; the three words I would use to describe my experience with Boulder Escape Room. With each clue you become more and more invested in the mystery and its solution. The room was so cleverly built and the clues even more so. With several locks and what might seem like insignificant clues and cues hidden around the room in less obvious places and in plain sight, players will be completely enthralled in the game. Gabriel, the kind gentleman working today, was extremely good at ensuring that the entire experience was captivating for both me and my partner. The moment we walked in the door, Gabriel was very nice and accommodating and never once made the two of us feel unwelcome. And finally, from beginning to end the adventure was nothing less than exciting.

The employee Gabriel was awesome. So much fun! For sure coming back because of him.

A great team building exercise.This is a fun and creative way to build teamwork skills among a group of colleagues. It highlights each contributor’s skills and challenges in a very engaging and adventurous setting. The hour goes by fast and everyone enjoyed the challenge. Recommended.

It was so much fun! Our group did the psycho killer room and had a blast! The room was challenging and so creativitly put together! This is definitely an activity that would be fun for both adults and older kids! Loved the layout of the place, the staff was so helpful and nice as well! Would definitely recommend! I would love to be a beta tester for future rooms!

Get better puzzles and remove all the locks on that single drawer!Hated it! Gabriel made me feel like he was a sleazy creep! I’m entitled to my own opinions and this is the god honest truth! I’m not a fan of my bubble being invaded and he tried to throw down his dance moves in front of everyone. I did the Psycho Killer Game on the afternoon of 4/22/18 with my two uncles Jim and Rob - they were ready to go home shortly after starting the game. Gabriel also must’ve pocketed the cash we used to pay for our game, because his boss has to check the cameras to get a record of our visit. He informed me that he is incentivized and paid for positive google reviews at this job. Pretty pathetic strategy to con your boss and customers out of $20.Since “slander” requires FALSE statements and everything I’ve said here is true... I think I’ll leave this review up permanently!

I havent had this much fun in years. This escape room was by far the best I have ever been to. After escaping with only 2 minutes of the hour left, this room had the perfect amount of challenge/ difficulty. The clues were clever and the experience was exhilarating. I would have paid $100 for this great of an experience. I cannot wait to try the other room MysterBox ltd has to offer! We were there as a group of 5 guys for a bachelor party and it was the perfect way to start out the evening of fun. We all bonded over the amazing experience and teamwork and it honestly made the rest of the bachelor party 10 times more fun because of the camaraderie it facilitated. A MUST TRY.

We had a group of six people and were paired up with two more. We did the murder mystery room, which was a lot of fun. We finished with almost 15 minutes left, so I think it could be made more difficult. The staff said the success rate is 15 to 30%. They really should be able to tell you the exact success rate and this information should be on the website. It really helps in determining which room to do. They are planning on expanding soon and even introducing live actors, so Im looking forward to what else they come up with.

My friends and I did The Abduction last weekend. We had a really fun time. Some of the puzzles were easy and others were quite hard. Everyone got really involved and had a lot of fun. We all left with big smiles. We would like to do it again.

Went yesterday with my group of 4 with 2 first timers and 2 experienced escapers. We got paired up with a family of 4 the same ratio as us and our teamwork prevailed triumphantly. Awesome experience! 100% would do it again when I visit Boulder next

Happy to escape with this company because I have done a ton of rooms and its always good to get a new one, however it could have been better. My group did the abduction which was definitely fun but the puzzles were pretty tame. I picked this room as a good intro to escape rooms for my friends which it certainly did that (they will definitely be doing more) but as a veteran to escape rooms I feel like we could have been challenged more and the clues could have functioned better. Id be happy to see what else this company has, especially if they offer me to beta test some rooms.

This was my first escape room and it was a lot of fun frantically figuring out the locks. There were a lot of really interesting ideas that were tossed around in my group - some of which were even correct! I will definitely be doing another soon.

My friends and I did the Abduction Room, and it was so much fun! I have done escape rooms in the past, and this was one of my favorites. The puzzles were very creative and the right amount of challenging. We barely escaped with less than 3 minutes on the clock, and it was such a rush! They started the game 20 minutes early because we were paired with a large group. But they got us in about 30 minutes after the start time, and comped us a future game.

Such a fun experience! My partner and I escaped the abduction room with 10 minutes to spare! We will definitely be going back, especially when new rooms need testing! :)

Great fun. Was our first time going thru an escape room and we weren’t sure how well the old marital bliss would hold to a timed event.. we needed a prompt or two from the super friendly and helpful guy running the place that day, but we got thru it and really enjoyed ourselves in the process!

The puzzle room was very well thought out and the puzzles very well integrated with the theme. Interesting take on puzzles and requiring teamwork throughout. I had an awesome time.

We LOVED the new psycho killer puzzle! Robert did a great job facilitating. We crushed through in almost record time having 24 minutes left on the clock. We would love to be part of beta testing future puzzles!

It was so much fun! It was two of us, we were offered to wait for a bigger team at a later time and thought wed give it a try... It was definitely fun and difficult! We got very close to completing (you get an hour to finish the room(s)). Theres two rooms and they rotate it sounds like once every six months, so theres plenty of opportunity to do it again.

Ive done one other escape room in Denver and it really doesnt even compare to Boulder. They do such a great job to make it interactive and even allow you to make transitions into other rooms. The gentleman that hosted us was extremely lively and attentive when we needed clues. We will most definitely be back and recommend this to our friends! Thank you!

We had so much fun! We broke out just in time! Yes, we needed some clues but the room is a 33% pass rate so I expected it and there was only 4 of us. The last place I went to gave us too many clues without wanting them but this place was just right. They let us struggle for a bit but gave a few clues. Super fun! Were already panning a trip back and I believe I heard they are getting some Halloween rooms!!!! AWESOME!

This has been my favorite escape room company so far because each clue leads to the next. There is a clear path, but enough challenge that you have to work for it. Id definitely recommend this place!

I have now done the Serial killer room and the Abduction room. Both were super fun and great way to hang out with coworkers or friends. Would recommend to anyone looking to get an adrenaline rush from solving puzzles.
