Great cultural and extra curricular activities go on here for most of the year. Being close by and visiting here often helps makes the academic experience more fulfilling. The Riverway takes you downtown and elsewhere. Nice pretty area. A little riverlet and parks nearby. The area has great student life.
I didnt hate the place, ...I j6st didnt go there my pn says I did
I love this theater! Great people. Friendly atmosphere. Always welcoming and warm.
Our family has enjoyed many great productions over the years featuring local talent!
Little Women was a great musical, so glad we checked it out.
Love love love their family friendly productions and community outreach and involvement . Great program and great shows for the family
SawRagtime.,Terrific show. Strong cast incl kids. Great score. Show ran a bit long. Could have cut a song or two
Wonderful plays are put on for the entire family. Also an educational experience for children who want to learn about theatre and take classes in the arts/acting, movement and singing. Parking is a bit difficult since its on the Riverway, and part of BU, but very visible from the street/sidewalk.
Wonderful place very cozy. Although I think they could use more restrooms. The lines were very long. Had a great experience otherwise.
I love the plays they do
This was an amazing theater that allows children to come and learn about theater etiquette all while being fully entertained by really great, experienced actors!
Nice sized theater. We came to see In the Heights- the actors were great and the sets were amazing. Its a great place for affordable shows and performances, and very convenient to buy the tickets online. They often have great deals on tickets as well, depending on the night of the performance. They also hold classes for children here.
Fabulous theater and friendly staff
Watched Once Upon a Mattress, performed by a summer intensive group (all put together in two weeks) and it was excellent. Kudos to the WFT for having such a great summer program!
A nice production at a nice venue... Great to bring kids... Loved the refreshment table, kept simple with great after production meeting of the cast.
Great, professional shows for ALL ages (not just for kids). Excellent classes. Focus on diversity in casts, audiences, and in the student population of the theatres classes.
Nice theater, all great seats, great performances for off broadway
Perfect for kids and families
What a great venue for childrens theatre. We will be going back to enjoy the shows
Wonderful performance! Comfortable seats. They need to fix the static in the speakers.
Every show weve seen there has been excellent.
Saw a great show there that the students at the Ivy Street School put on.
James and the giant peach was awesome
James and the Giant Peach was great!!
My son and his grandmother love their time seeing shows here.
Great family shows here! Professional quality, but really affordable theater.
Went to see Billy Elliot - sadly shocked. We heard lots of great things about this theater and had high hopes. The musical was not for families, well not for families for kids in middles school/grade school. Practically every other line of dialogue had a swear, songs of spousal abuse, and other adult material would make this a Rated R play if ratings could be given out. Im sure for an adult audience it would be a good artistic dance/musical, but it definitely wasnt a family musical. I wish Wheelock Family Theater would have given proper warning and and/or not advertised this as a family event and saved us the cost of 4 tickets. We ended up leaving at halftime but wish we left much earlier.
I went to see Akeelah and the Bee today. In one word it was amazing. The cast blended adults and children, and they did a fantastic job telling the story. There was laughter, joy, sadness, and passion as Akeelah made her journey from humble beginnings to the National spelling bee. If you enjoy the theatre and a great story you will not be disappointed.
Went to the wonder of learning exhibition. Teachers and parents make time to see this free exhibit before it is gone!
Great shows for kids. Super friendly
Have been to two shows there, and theyve both been great. Obviously they put s great deal of practice and talent behind their productions
Completely accessible, family friendly and offers children and teens acting programs. Also ASL Interpretering available at certain perfotmances and for all childrens educational programs upon request.
Saw Stewart Little with students it was a great show for the kids.
The productions here are always good and often amazing. From the sets, to the costuming, to the acting, to the choice of shows, Wheelock is a treasure, with or without children!
Been going to Wheelock shows for a long time. Never disappoints.
Good show good people awesome
Seen Beauty and the Beast today was a great show.
Another amazing performance at this Theatre Company! I will be back for many more and will bring friends!
Great place to see a show!
Wonderful theater company. Ive seen quite a few shows there, always enjoyable.
A nice family place, heart for young people to see a nice play.
My son and I won season tickets through Macaroni Kids South Shore. Being an active eight-year old boy, I was concerned that he would not like it or be able to sit still for an entire performance. I could not be more wrong! He was mesmerized from the start, and is now a huge fan of live theatre. The productions put on my Wheelock Family Theatre are top-notch, and draw the kids in right away. As I looked around the theatre...children of all ages...from four year olds to teenagers, all seemed spelled bound by the performances. We will be annual ticket holders moving forward! Thanks Wheelock Family!
Loved the small size of theatre! Saw Frog and Toad here.
