Gorgeous Victorian home, and Evan gave us a great tour! The ventilation shaft was super neat, as was the Butlers pantry, and the wifes bedroom. Definitely recommend!!

Great historic house museum, everything is authentic and none of it is recreated. Its an hour long tour, but its totally worth it.

A nice little hidden gem in Back Bay. Gorgeous brownstone that was solely owned by the Gibson family. Our guide Carlos was great and we learned a lot about Victorian life in Boston. Would highly recommend it!

This was my first time visiting the museum. I love visiting historical homes and learning about its history! This home is the best preserved historical home in Boston.

Fascinating time-capsule museum, a perfectly preserved window into life in Bostons Back Bay at the turn of the last century. Guided tours take about an hour and cost $9 which goes towards upkeep of this stately old mansion, but because of the way everything has been left undisturbed over the years, it literally feels like the inhabitants have just stepped out for a bit and could return at any moment.

It was fascinating to know that James Gibson was an openly gay person who turns his family house into a museum.

Fantastic tour of this absolute gem...unchanged since the Gibsons turned it into a museum...is like they have just stepped out the house. Informative guide and a rare opportunity to see what home life was like in Boston for the well to do families of Back Bay. Well worth a visit and the $9 entrance fee for adults.

Interesting tour about a family who was a premier Boston family. House to tall intact to late 1800s and early to mid 1900s. Entirely authentic.
