This is a great place to pretend and have some good laughs. It also creates a lot of perspectives, especially for people who like celebrities. There is also some education here, like when you get to the Presidents hall. Compared to some other wax museums, this one has more complexion flaws. I will say that John F. Kennedy is the best and most realistic looking figure.
If there weren’t name tags, you wouldn’t be able to guess the majority of the characters.Saying it’s overpriced is an understatement. Full prices are outrageous for what you get.Worth only if you go with museum passes, in a cold rainy day, during school vacation week, when you want to avoid crowded places.Younger kids could only recognize some Presidents, so they had fun anyway, but the statues aren’t good. Like.. Barbie doll looks more realistic of almost all of the statues. Skin tones, hairs, even face shapes...We counted no more than five actually good waxes figures, counting the Boston Terrier at the entrance. Sorry.
My kids and I had the best time here it is so much fun the kids love taking selfies with every character they have stop look real others look very close to the real thing it is worth the money it takes around 45 to an hour to go through it depends how fast you go. Lots of fun pictures last four memories for years
Half of the wax statues didnt really look like the celebs they were based off of but they had a few that did. There was a young man in the presidents section that knew a lot of stuff. He walked around with us and gave us historical tidbits. I bought my admission ticket through city view tours which got us the harbor cruise and trolley tour too. It was a fun museum because of how comical some of the figures looked, but I wouldnt go out of my way to go back.
They did an amazing job on all there pieces
Great little wax museum. Not as big as some Ive been to on the past but fun nonetheless.
Went to Boston on a Family trip. Bought the two day hop on hop off trolley package that included admission to the Dreamland Wax Museum. Staff were very friendly and joked around with us. We Basically had the place to ourselves when we were there. Museum was designed well and loved that they had props throughout the museum you could use to take pictures with.
Had so much fun and spent 3 hours inside...the best place to go...
Awesome place. Amazing art and the history of presidents hall is perfect
Dont purchase tickets there like I did. Because its discounted with the trolley tour package. Very impressive models, life like even when up close. The employees will take your picture with their camera and sell them to you. I only purchased 3. Very good quality. I wish they had more models. Hard to find the place on my own. Asked 3 different people for directions. Then while on the trolley tour it was pointed out.
Bright, clean, attractive place and the staff is really nice. But parking, even on Sunday afternoon in December, was hard to find in that area. And some of the waxworks just did not look quite right. Im a big fan of Audrey Hepburn and, well, just not quite right. But if you are in the area anyway, I would recommend it
The wax figures are so life like!
Would like to say how thoughtful the staff here was today. We were out front photographing our bride and groom after their Boston City Hall wedding. Someone came out to let us know we could get some photos with Lady Gaga and Leonardo DiCaprio in the lobby. Before leaving they offered some coupons and said congratulations. Super kind and pleasant! Thank you!!
The Dreamland Wax Museum is a cool ace to check out. The fee is a little steep at $24.99 per Adult person, at the time of this review (July 2019), but you do get a good amount of wax figures to check out. They have ALL the presidents, nicely laid out. Very many celebrities with cool backdrops and some props you can use to take pictures with the figures. A very nice experience to have in the city.
The work on the statues is really average. Most of them do not resemble the actual person. These are the best.
Good place to see Wax statues of many celebrities.
Its ok. Very small. Not that impressive. Afew people there i did like a whole room only of previous presidents.
Its interesting to see the difference in quality between figures. Some are great some are not.
I love the figures so much. Great place. Had fun
Rich find, especially in Boston. Take your time take a lot pics . Great break from the norm. Was an usual find. Brings heart and memories for diehard New England fans. A must...
Its a blast! Amazing wax museum. Reasonable price! Awesome for tourist and locals.
We got in free with a library pass and it was so much fun. One thing we wish we would have realized is that there are props beside the wax figures you can play with and use for picture taking.
Its ok I personally have seen better but not bad for a first experience
Great place to take pictures with Rich and the famous!
Most of three figures are well done, but there were a few that could have been done better. Overall, worth the visit.
Free with a trolly ticket. The staff was very friendly and polite
Cool place, the sculptures are nice. They dont look 100% and some of them are messed up.
Really cool!! The wax figures look very realistic! Great Family friendly touristy spot
Not many people and not good look alikes. Not worth the price. Kind of fun though.
Dont waste your money. Its not worth $1for a ticket bcz of none of the figures look realistic.
Amazed to see such realistic wax statues
Very few looked realistic. Have visited Madame Trusseau and expected similar wax figures. Very disappointed. The price online was far lower than at the door.
Amazing place. Vert nice. We love it
Pretty good as far as wax museum s go. It is free if you take the Trolley tour. Not worth $25.00 if you had to pay by itself.
This place was very interesting
Love it. I was traveling from Puerto Rico and it was the best experience on my vacation.
If you get the tickets for the Hop-On Hop-Off Tour its free admission. The celebrities and notable figures are very life-like. They all may not be a true resemblance of their doppelganger but its still a good way to spend time and have fun! I would recommend it if you need something to do.
This place is great, there are so many wax figures to check out as long as information about the person. Staff is very friendly, Expedito in the front was very helpful and nice, as well as the gift shop cashier, Hector. If you are in the area this place is a must go.
It was especially fun to see this museum on Presidents day. Some of the status are very realistic and lifelike. Others are more of a resemblance. We were able to go for free when we bought a trolley bus ticket. It was a very enjoyable experience
Best wax museum out there!!! So cool that you can take pics with all the sculptures, not many places let you do that. During checkout at the end of walking through the museum, there was the sweetest, friendliest woman!!!! Thank you for everything Laryssa!!!
I want thank Tuezdae so much for the opportunity and the experience of being a wonderful host. Her warm greeting of welcoming my family and I. My family and I enjoy wonderful conversations with her. We learned about diversity among Bostonian and tourism and I will love to come back to the Wax Museum. Such a great wonderful, magnificent experience. We will be back really soon. Thank you so much.
Excelent museums, price afford. Great experience
Download their app before you go into the museum for photo sharing. The staff was fantastic and the wax figures were mostly authentic looking.
The wax figures looked real and was the actual hight
Took my family to the wax museum yesterday and got some super cool pictures at the oval office from a very nice gentleman Victor and then Aaron was very polite and sold me them. 10/10 recommended soooo lifelike that it was creepy but soo cool to see. Definitely will come back.
The wax sculptures were amazingly carved and most of them were very realistic. The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that in the hall of athletes there were no female athletes! I think that this can be very discouraging to any females. But overall it was a fun experience.
Awesome, awesome, awesome. Really new and will get better!!
Great place to visit. The characters were on point. We enjoyed our time here. Thank you
Very neat place! The wax is so lifelike its almost spooky!
The wax museum was a free outing as part of our trolley tour, and it was such a great start to our tour of Boston! Has lots of famous pop culture and historical figures. A great pit stop to enjoy Boston!
Some of the wax models are lifelike, while others dont look anything like who theyre supposed to be
Great place, and much more exciting than I thought!
This is a small but nice wax museumIts expensive though so its best to buy the Citiview trolley tickets with the museum included in the price.
Never been to a wax museum definitely interesting strongly recommended if your in the area
The wax sculptures are weirdly realistic. I see how the prank you with real people. Shout out to Expedito
Pretty good amount of wax figures but not too exciting.
Not very lifelike....not really. Heres a photo of Audrey Hepburn . Gave it 3 vs 2 ☆ because it was historically correct
I think they did a pretty good job. I had fun.
This was museum was so good, it was eerie. The Snoop Dog had me turning around four times, thinking it was real. I thought Nixon was off but an art therapist ( yes they exist ) said that personal likes and dislikes affect how you view the wax people. Real hair, life size and period clothes have you starting.
The wax museum was great! There was many wax figures to see! Expedito was very helpful and polite! I would definitely come here again!!
Love going there . All the different wax celebrities . Will definitely visit there again
Had an amazing time and a super helpful staff member Expedito made the experience amazing with his kindness. Would recommend to bring the family and friends.
I got in for free (with purchase of Old Town Trolley ticket) and this place just wasnt impressive. 2 floors, most of the wax sculptures are way off their mark, and in a city with so much to see, this is really out of place. If you get in free, then maybe spin through in 10 minutes like I did. Otherwise, avoid it and see some of the other great sites in the area.
Dreamland is great if you have about 30min- an hour to spare. Probably not a destination but fun to see the figures and learn a bit of history. I would check groupon for a deal here. I probably wouldnt spend $30 on a ticket but with Groupon I only paid $10!
Place was great. expedito was very good help at the front desk. very kind young man
I went to the museum today and it was a great experience! Lovely ladies at the photo stations Laryssa and Cintia keep up the good work.
Entry was free as an extra with trolley-bus tour tickets; fun way to pass an hour or so.
Fun place if you are in to picture/selfie taking!
So cool and such a fun time.
It was just okay but I had fun. Most of the wax figures look nothing like the actual person. For example, in the presidents section, Obama looks a little strained and Trump doesn’t look like him at all. Fee is kinda expensive.
Creepy But better than the one I went to in flordia
The statues are realistic-looking and nicely built. Workers get a little mad when you get an inch closer to the wax figures. Great place, just stay away from the statues.
Fun place. Free with trolley ticket. About 25% of the figures didnt look like the people
The museum was very nice and the service was pretty good. I liked that the staff were respectful and stayed out of the way while we toured the museum. The visit was very memorable and I would definitely visit again.
This is a fun thing to do when youre just walking around. Mom and I enjoyed it although some of the figures werent up to par with the rest.
It was OK. Too many of the figures were not a good resemblance at all, most were close and only a handful were spot on. The arms, legs and hands look like they came from old department store mannequins. We have been to other wax museums so we decided to make the 60 mile trip to see this place, which added to the disappointment. I guess if we were in Boston for other reasons and stopped in, I would have felt better about it. It didnt help that I sat in traffic twice as long as the time we spent at the museum but that goes with traveling to Boston.
Great customer service. Shavell was an amazing host! Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
Beautiful experience.
Pretty small museum but quite nice. Free for those who bought Hop On Hop Off Trolley tour.
A bit basic but the hall of Presidentsvwas goodFree if you rode the right trolley
Nice exhibit but not that much content. JFK and US forefathers were very good.
This place was amazing!! Ive never been to a wax museum. It was very cool!! And I found an admission coupon online; 50% off! Definitely worth it!
Great. Every President of the US, some more look alike, some less, the Queen very good.interaktive px possibel. The oval office, very nice. Good place to be in bad weather.
Nice little tourist spot! Tickets werent too expensive and they have lots of deals on their website. You walk through at your leisure, and can pay for photos or take your own for most figures. It was interactive with props for taking photos as well. We had a fun time!
They actually have all the presidents. This was awesome
Ex was very helpful!Such a fun place to visit!
Okay place to visit, not a show stopper though.any of the wax pieces look great, others not so much. Fun to wander and take pics, but not a must do attraction.
Great opportunity and lots of fun to take pictures with some really close facsimiles of presidents, celebrities, athletes, moguls, etc. My 4 year old enjoyed posing next to some of my favorite icons.
I like the place, especially the Hall with all Presidents of United States. very interesting!
The museum looks amazing!! our Cashier Expedito is very helpful and nice!
Brad Pitt is real enough looking that I’m actually afraid to look at him any longer. That’s how similar the wax replicas look like! Yasss! Thanks for Shavell for being a great wax museum host today!
I had fun! I love was museums, and its nice to have one in Boston featuring Boston sports figures! Great museum!
It was not the most elaborate wax museum I have been to, however, it was free. So it was nice to good around with the dummies.
Massively overpriced, particularly since even some of the staff agree that many of the models dont look like the real people. Seriously - Ive only seen Obama on TV, but I wouldnt have recognised him from his statue! Very disappointing, even though I had a free ticket thanks to the Old Town Trolley T0ur.
Very fun and interesting. Wonderful staff and Larissa in the gift shop was extremely helpful.
