I have been playing golf at Stonebridge for over 10years and this recent incident has caused me to never set foot on this golf course. As a minority, this could be devastating to a public course. We were asked to move our tee time back to accommodate another group (white men) because they wanted the earliest tee times because the previous week my group had that time and they didn’t like it so management decided they were more valuable than we were. There were numerous ways to handle this situation but Stonebridge decided to make a choice. So to all my people of color, think twice about playing there. Also notice not one person of color works at any capacity at this golf course.
Never step foot in the building but drive by daily always clean alway packed golf course always well well well well kept havent heard anything bad about it from any of the residents
Great place!! Beautiful course!
Course was not in the condition you would expect for the price: patchy greens in some places, traps hard and not maintained, etc. TERRIBLE pace of play... two groups of 4+ in front of me (a single) hacking away and REFUSED to let me play through. Not a Marshall in sight. Nearly five hours to finish 18 by myself and teed off before 8:00AM. Miserable.
This is the worst Golf course I have ever been to. I had a problem with my account and the management was terrible with assisting me with my problem. I do not recommend.
Nice course. Fairways are in great shape and the greens are true. Best course Ive played in Shreveport area.
Good condition. Love the layout. Traps need to be trimmed up.
Update! Recently gave this course another shot, nothing different than last time, 6 people in 3 carts holding up 7 smaller groups behind them! Just insane how this course is run!Play here if you want to play the SLOWEST round of your life, I believe this course is in the Guinness book of world records for the slowest rounds on the planet! The course allows multiple groups of 5-6 people to tee off and hold up everyone behind them, these clowns never let anyone play through and the course does nothing to manage the speed of play! if you happen to have 7-8 hours to play golf this is the place for you!
Horrible pace of play. And no-one around to manage it. Played by myself on a wide open course as described by the guy in the pro shop. Didnt see anyone so I thought it was probably true. Get to #5 and sure enough theres a 5some that would not let me play through at all. I finish up at 9 only to see them teeing off on 10 and riding off after their balls. Id spent 2 and a half hours to finish 9 holes. I paid for 18 and just stopped after 9. Greens fee was 50 bucks! What a waste of time and money. Course was in good shape and greens played well.
Course is in pristine condition!!
Stonebridge has been the preeminent public golf venue in the Shreveport/Bossier area for many years. However, this year the maintenance has diminished, and so have the quality of the greens. It is really a shame, they used to be the best greens around.Update: greens are almost back to great, with the exception of number 8 (which is getting better but is still bad). The others are back to fast and rolling true.
My son (who is a very experienced and good golfer) enjoyed the course, but the course was busy and backed up. He waited sometimes as much as 15 to 20 minutes on each tee before he could tee off. This course apparently has a few daily regulars who are slow. So if you go, ask how backed up the course will be. It throws a good golfer way off rhythm. We would not go back.
Course is in great shape I encourage everybody to come out play during this nice cool weather
Had our wedding their recently and could not have picked a better venue. The staff are extremely flexible and Victoria works with you to make everything perfect. Had an amazing experience! Definitely recommend this venue.
The greens are amazing! The greens are smooth and true! The course is challenging. Adam works in the pro shop and does an amazing job. My family had a great time. I will one day play this course again.
Nice course. Well kept. The grass is well kept and the ground is not too firm with a nice cushion to the root layer. A bit pricey for what you get, though. Grounds are flat with a lack of challenges and few bunkers.
I love playing at the scores. The fairways are nice and the greens run true. Very scenic and very pretty
Great design! It is a tricky course and if you are up for a challenge this the course to play while you are in the Shreveport/Bossier City area!
This was my wedding venue, and I couldnt be happier with the experience! Christy and the other folks at Stonebridge went above and beyond to make my special day everything that my husband and I dreamed. There are no words for how helpful these sweet people have been!
Great course! Super and friendly people.
The staff here is incredible the course was in great shape and I look forward to returning again soon.
It is a beautiful course. A solid track. Greens are not bad. If in area should play it.
Great place for small conference, they let us barrow their TV in place of a projector!
Nice place for a links course, moderate price and have twilight golf, scramble on tuesdays
My fiance and i were in the beginning stages of wedding planning and we were instantly wowd with all the included things and prices until it took Christy 3 weeks to tell us she couldnt host us on that day. She did however offer to host us at their sister golf course, Olde Oaks Golf Course, and promised to have a contract for us within a few days. A few weeks went by and we heard nothing they wouldnt even answer their phones. When i finally was able to contact her again, she promised the same things. Again, she fell through. The customer service is horrible and communication is NOT their strong point.
Saw some roofs with damage from golf balls .... Insurance wont cover that. Who is going to pay for the damage? Very amateurish golfers ....
This golf course is way over-priced. I paid $81 on a WEDNESDAY, in the MIDDLE OF WINTER. Management said that there are no deals, no twilight rates, and no discounts for anyone, ever. Full price 24/7/365. Its more like a $45 to $50 course, especially when fairways and greens are dormant and brown. If you play this course, be sure to bring a fat wallet.
Poorly operated. Green fees are too high for the level this course is maintained.
The manager hates junior golfers, the course is easy if you drive the ball well. manager doesnt keep it in good condition
Nice course with excellent greens
Cant even book a single.
Awesome greens
Greens are terrible
Beautiful place
Great atmosphere.
The cashier and waitress are very attentive
It was very nice
