Honestly one of the best parks/walking trails around. Was in town this last week and really needed somewhere to go for my daily runs. The trails here are very well maintained and there are tons of good solid hammocking places for after your run! Highly recommend making a visit here - wether for a walk, relaxing hammock session, or a good run.

Walked the nature trail which was peaceful and quiet. We saw squirrels playing, chipmunks, and a doe. An excellent trail no matter your ability.

Beltway was beautiful w views and fields w opportunity to break off on some more woodsy trails.

Its okay, I personally wasnt impressed. I wanted to get lost in the woods on hiking trails with water falls. But it was beautiful, the whole location is amazing!

Great place and clean. However, when trying to enjoy the water, people did not respect the idea of first come first serve.

Great lengths of flat trails for walking or biking with scenic landscape all around including cover bridge, open space, and deer sightings beyond the greenway connectors. There are also play areas, picnic pavilions, benches and a gazebo.

This is a great place to walk, have a picnic, meet friends, and take your dog. Its green, clean, peaceful, and has nice paths to walk. I look forward to returning here often.

A core little walk around a protected watershed.

The park was a disappointment. Just two paths. It was crowded. Since it is just across the street from the college in Boone I guess this was to be expected. Very few people wearing masks and little social distancing.

Enjoyed open air with no masks. Kids had fun playing outside home.

Great park on the Greenway trail. Mostly Paved trail, seeing deer in the evening is common and leashed dogs are welcome. Great place to walk, skate, or bike.

Cute little park I love the atmosphere and the big park and little park and how it has a running track. Theres no way for the kids to get bored and theres always something new to try or play with

Such a lovely place. While visiting Boone, I found this park through Google. I enjoyed a nice 2.5 mile walk filled with spring blooms, and the soothing sound of the creek that ran along the side of the path. It was a beautiful day with many walkers, runners, bikers and skate boarders enjoying the same. I spent a lot of time watching deer feed on the water Banks. Being from Arizona this was fascinating to me. I cant wait to go back on my next trip to NC.

Great park to take the kids. Completely enclosed with latched gates. Playground sectioned with toys appropriate for different age groups. Also, there was a nice lending library on sight.

We did a short morning road biking trip. The trails were in great shape and the scenery was great. There was plenty of parking this morning but the place is very popular and parking goes fast.

This is overall a nice place for a walk... but... the students have taken over the parking area and even though the town has passed an ordinance prohibiting student parking, there doesnt seem to be any enforcement so parking is difficult at times. The other issue is the dog owners... again the town has passed an ordinance requiring dog owners to clean up after their pets, there doesnt seem to be any enforcement. During your time here watch where you step in the grass!

Once the construction is done, this park will be even greater!! Lots of space to run, walk, or bike. Kids have an awesome playground to utilize. And ballfields are in great shape!

Have done a great job providing wildlife habitats. Trails connect to large system all over town. HEAVILY used - but run into all kinds of people you know.

Love this place on the 4th of July. Their fireworks are amazing and we come here every year to watch these. Plus its a very nice park.

I really enjoyed the multiple trails this park/green space has to offer. My chief complaint is the lack of suitable restroom facilities. Portapotties?!! Really lame for such a nice town.

So many beautiful trails. This area is just full of everything. Biking as well as a childrens park near by.

Nice trail but it needs to be a loop rather than a long trail to no where.

Easy walk for all abilities. Plenty of wildlife to see too. Plenty of seating at several covered and a few uncovered picnic tables.

Came for the fireworks but there are fields and hiking paths by the river and even through the woods; very pretty. There is also the playground and a few tables available for usage. There is also a baseball field and swimming complex but I dont know much about them.

I live nearby and use the trail for my morning run, absolutely love the place. I routinely see deer in the wee morning hours and once saw a fox (this was around 3:30 am). Great place for a picnic, lovely benches placed around a quant little creek.

We stopped here for a picnic. Facilities are good theres a nice stream running through the park. And the facilities are boring good condition

Always love walking here! Its very scenic and people are friendly. Theres a gazebo area to have picnics and dogs all around. The only thing is dont come here at night. Lots of weird homeless people that give off bad vibes. Other than that, beautiful place to take a stroll or go running! It goes for a long time.

Great place to watch fireworks on July 4th if you’re visiting or in town! Bring a blanket and chairs and bug spray.

The field is too irregular to play a lacrosse match. Very hard for players to control grounders. Restrooms are out of reach for a lot of elderly or anyone who is handicapped.

Level path, but a portion goes by sewage treatment plant where if the wind is wrong the smell is beyond horrible. With all the beautiful country around here, who thought that was a good idea!?

Fantastic trail that is always maintained

The Greenway Trail is one of very few large open places to take a walk, ride a bike, or play with your dogs in the Boone area. A short walk will get you to a very large field where ASU rugby places their matches. The Greenway is also where cross country events are held. The trails lead to Watauga High and also to the water treatment facility that sometimes smells funky based on the wind direction. There are trails that break off of the main paved trail and many places to walk your dogs down to the water to play.
