It has a pretty lake with a grassy area for sitting, a big field for sports, a fantastic although rather busy skatepark, and a small park for kids to play on with a jungle gym and swings.
Safe & clean environment. Great place to take the family or even to just go for a walk.
What a cute little lake park. We drove out to see it because a friend told me about it. We didnt get out because during this pandemic it wouldnt have been safe. They do also have a boat launch.
Is a very nice small park . The parking is free, you need to get there early to get one. I think is beautiful.
Greets Small Town Lake. Good for children and adults. Area with steps to get slowly into the water. dock to jump off, volleyball court as well as rental shops and snack shack. Do to covid-19 vacancy restrictions
Private Park, need an ID in order to enter unless with someone who is a member. The Park is lovely and the benches have small roofs for shade, the water is nice depths, dock launches for boats, jetskis, canoes etc. Dogs allowed. Beautiful overall
Well this place is usually pretty packed when its hot. But its a great free place to swim. You can rent Kayaks and paddleboards there as well they have a snack bar. Parking situation can be a headache sometimes but once you get settled its well worth being there. You dont get a bunch of drunken idiots because no alcohol is allowed
Nice lake for swimming & relaxing that has kayak rentals & volleyball. Theres a nice skate park & snack shack across the street. Only downside is that, being so nice, its quite crowded too.
Nice park. Go before noon, otherwise youll need to scavenge for a parking spot like at the mall during Christmas. If the park gets full, they limit how many can come in - so you may have to wait in line until someone leaves (on super hot days)
Wonderful little park off too the side of a BIG LAKE!! During beginning of summer probably a busy area
Busy during the summer in hot months, but this is a really enjoyable kind of Beach area however the actual Waterfront theres no actual beach.
Nice place to swim, walk the dog in the small hiking trail. They have a skate park, basketball court and playground. I just wish people would clean up their garbage.
Park is great local hotspot, cops are always there but usually non intrusive. The line for the boat launch is long so come early. Skate park is normally pretty busy and the forest walks are nice. Occasionally they have a snack shack open but dont count on it. Hit or miss. Parking is not good even though the city thinks parking is great.
Busy but pleasant. Bathrooms were locked though on holiday weekend. Visited July 5th.
During covid 19 they are not letting you swim but they are doing paddle board and kayak rentals, it is a great and beautiful place to spend a couple hours
There is lots to do here. There is a swimming area, boat launch, skatepark, sports field, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, and trails! The beach area does get pretty full on a hot day due to thus being the only free public swimming beach on lake tapps.Dogs are okay here too.
Great place to chill. Lots of boating and water fun, swim area is legit.
Great place to swim and close to the skate park, basketball and baseball field.
Because of the pandemic they have circles on the ground which help people distance themselves. Nice swimming area, a little rocky at times because of the boats coming and going from the launch, but still nice.
Good place for a swim or kayaking / stand up paddling
Small, but a nice area to hang out and swim. Gets busy mid afternoon .
Sometimes the place can get a little crowded and tough to get good parking but the bathrooms are clean for the most part and with a snack bar its alright except for the occasional bored Bonney lake finest nosing around although I have never seen any Riff Raff to speak of so nice park I must say
Porta potties instead of actual flushing restrooms is NOT more sanitary. Especially of the porta potty is only cleaned once every 5 days!!!! Disgusting!!!! Open the bathrooms and leave some cleaning spray. People would gladly wipe down a flushing toilet in lieu of using a nasty full porta john. Just, ew.Otherwise, the lake was beautiful and fun and clean
Busy and a little dirty. I think it normally is clean, but COVID-19 is messing up the normal.
Great local park. A bit small and sometimes overcrowded. Good swim area.
Nice. Grass, had painted circles on the grass to keep the social distancing rule.
Great place to take family or throw a party/get together, a lot of swimming room, as well as grass to set up chairs and sun tents. There is also a sand volleyball pit, and plenty of people willing to participate. If you are going during a hot and sunny day, plan on getting there early to save a spot in the grass and get a decent parking spot. Ive been a few times, and the park is always packed during hot days.
Had a great time with my family here. I do have to say that parking was kind of terrible. We had to walk quite a distance to the park from out vehicles. Besides that the park looked well maintained and there are plenty of shallow areas for the young ones to have fun in the water too.
Awesome place. Great for the jids.has baseball diamonds, basketball courts, tennis court, boat launch, and a park. Awesome spot!
My fav summer spot. I absolutely love it here. We are here all the time during the spring and summer. Been coming here all my life. My only concern is that despite all the numerous drownings at this lake, the city still will not provide a lifeguard on duty through the summer. ITS A VERY WEALTHY CITY/COMMUNITY. There is NO reason they cant pay for a seasonal lifeguard for public safety.
Cool spot. Too crowded.
First it charges 7 dollors to get in... And half of the park closes down... A little disappointed
Beautiful like. Beautiful men
One of the better lakes/park locations Ive been to in the region. The waters clean and clear, so its nice to swim in. It still looks murky because of the green below, but its safe and not too deep. No life guard (normal for lakes though). I visited in the summer but the water was still somewhat cold, but still an enjoyable swim! There are grills that can be used, and a few tables with seating (the concrete benches). Might still be worthwhile to bring your own stuff though. Overall it was fun to visit!
Always a great place to pop in and cool off!
Easy to find with GPS and/or signs. Small park with beautiful views.Trees for shade and several picnic tables.Swimming area next to boat ramps, which are right next to the road. Saw one guy have to pull into traffic in order to jockey it right.Walk along the road for a view of the mountain.Concession stand by the baseball field and kayak rentals, which cost more than some lake rentals.
Nice lake, just uncomfortable because theres too many cops with nothing better to do. Lots of parking space
When you pull your boat out nowhere to strap down or just to put somethings away.Like the police being there.
The playground is small and geared for small.children. trails are beat but short and end in a development. Field is nice but small. The beach park is beautiful but small. This park would be better if it were not so incredibly crowded. Too many people, not enough space. Lake Tapps needs another park for swimmers not right next to a boat launch. Maybe move the boat launch to another location? Then extend the swimming are to accommodate all of those people.
Great family friendly park.
Great Park! Park is kept very clean and security is ran very well. The park always has events for families and kids, a secure place to swim, boat, bbq, play volley ball and a tennis court, and a skate park. Theres a snack shack, a kayak rental, as well as rental for life jackets. This park is lots of fun for all ages and groups.
This is a great park in a great community, but it can get a little crazy on the sunny, nice days. Lots of people, and more recently theres been police stationed there to watch everything and even a checkpoint to get bags checked to go into the swimming area. A great place to be in the non summer months, not too packed and the skatepark, fields and basketball/tennis courts are pretty nice. Also a great place in the summer if you dont mind the people
Our favorite place to take the boat out on.
Park does not match pictures. Barely any water and you can see the old tree stumps that the lake was hiding.
My German Shepherd loves this area. He gets to meet new people and fur friends. Great roped off swim area and lake taps always has things going on. Music during certain nights in the summer. Plus you can rent paddle boats and kayaks.
Not ADA friendly. Especially if renting kayak
Its very dirty and needles every where
Id give Alan Yorke Park five stars if it werent for too many inconsistencies in the boat launch area of the park. Many local residents pay a yearly access fee to get into this boat launch. Several times along with my friend, this launch was closed with no apparent physical reason why It couldnt be open. I think Bonney Lake should consider less regulation here and make this place more consistent. They do that, and Ill upgrade this review to five stars.
Pretty fun place for the kids. Park is pretty basic and the slide gets stupid hot, but the kids have fun. Plenty of space and things to do: basketball, tennis, baseball, kickball, skate park, swim. If you like being outside, youll like this place.
This park has always been our go to when we dont go to the private parks available for the residents in the area. I however, after not being there for a year, to see the diminishing of care in regards to maintenance. There are no locks on the bathrooms (for the women), which is a safety hazard for any ladies who use the handicap stall. I understand there is wildlife there, yet about half of the dock was covered and no attempt you can tell to clean that particular section, as well as I understand it is up to the civilian to bring their own swimming equipment, what use yo be available is no more (life vests). I do not know if Bonney Lake has limited maintenance crew for that particular section, but I am still sad to see the downgrade in care particularly over the year on its own.The experience itself is fun, my children had a blast - always do. I just hope this is a minor blooper in a possible just bad day in arriving before care day for the park.
It was nice, but no big kid swings >:c
Nice park very clean no lifeguards in the swimming area.
Nice boat ramp
Nice waterfront park, with skate park and snack stand. Kayak rentals were nice and on par with other rentals in Tacoma and Seattle. Wish there was a sandy beach area
Really nice lake to swim
Very clean and groomed park, nice to take the family too. Bonney lake police make their presence known to keep it safe
Nice park but the little ones really cant use it. The teenagers are everywhere. Cops were all over the place. Some big fight broke out and they arrested them. Many cops for many hours. Not a good environment today. Maybe on a rainy day... And no parking!
Nice place for a walk
Love sitting in the grass looking at the lake. Picnic tables and awesome!
Rented a kayak for the lake. The park was very nice and maintained. Will be nice when the construction is done.
Love this park. Not the prettiest when the lake is drained, but when its full it is an awesome park. The beach side is always jam packed when its sunny and after work hours, but the other side of the street has a big toy for the kids, a very large field with baseball set ups. Tennis courts and skate park are next to a decently thick strip of green belt that has some nature trails going through it
A alot of fun
Love it here! Water to swim, lots of open grass accross the street with a skate park and park for kiddos and restrooms and baseball fields. Cool trail to walk behind it as well!
It was amazing I hope everyone else enjoyed it like I did the band was great food was excellent and the Fireworks were amazing thank you
So much fun!
Very nice and well guarded on the water. Had a great time
Its ok. Nothing special. Went there for a car show. That was cool.
Its good park for family safe too
A place for quick walk!
Great place for family I grew up walking distance good place for kids play ground, soccer field, baseball field.
Love going and fishing off the dock. Water is amazing and the view of Rainer is outstanding.
Love going to play with my kids. So many options... just wish there was a better playground for more ages to play at.
They need to add more parking spaces. Its not even summer, and already the parking lot is packed and hard to navigate. Cool park, let us all enjoy it.
You have everything here from swimming, skateboard, beach volleyball, baseball fields and BBQ area. Great place for family outing.
My family and I we really like this place the only thing I didnt like is that the water is kind of duty with ducks feces and feathers. But I guess they also have the right to be there lol
Great park. Very well kept. The only thing that I dont like about this park is that the parking. Not enough parking spots and the lot is long walk to the soccer fields.
I love this park, lots of activities in summer months. Quite in winter could use more toys for kids.
Great place they have a snack shack restroom water fountain and its on the lake
Great place to hang out with family & friends.
Great place,a lot of fun!
Nice park with great views of Rainer on a clear day.
Very nice
Good park on the lake. No fee except the boat launch. Swimming area with docks for jumping from, volley ball court and a few covered picknik tables. A few built in bbq as well. Snack shake occasionally open and a playground and ball fields across the street. No life gauds its a swim at your own risk. Water can be cold.
