This fun movie house is on the campus of Florida International University. Three theaters, both pretty small. The seats are very comfy. There is also a very good little cafe. My husband was feeling peckish and had a delicious grilled chicken sandwich. Fun afternoon all round

Very older crowd and when I say crowd I mean like maybe 5 people in the whole place and their walkers. The seats are comfy and the place was not that clean. The bathrooms were very dirty to the put paper towels all over the floors and no toilet paper in one area. I likely will not be back.

Cool spot. Foreign and indie films. Small food selection, served to you in the seat. You should come here at least once. It’s a nice experience - not your average movie theater.

Living Room Theaters is multiplex for foreign, art, and niche movies. As such, it is a cultural gem. The prices are reasonable, the seating is comfortable. Snacks and meals are good at the attached cafe. And parking is readily available.Living Room is a cultural asset of Boca Raton.

Great movie theater ... a hidden treasure ... WARNING watch for parking, the FAU campus security give tickets, no warning, no sign posts ... nothing ... a little pathetic and can ruin an otherwise great evening .... FAU you really need to sort this out!!!

One of my favorite places to watch movies in the United States. Small theaters with good seating. In addition the food is terrific. You can eat at your seat or go eat in a dining room. Nice wine choices. For particularly popular shows get your ticket ahead of time as there is limited seating in the theater.

Always interesting movies. Food is very good and like your living room you can eat at your seat. (No crunchy food) Small theatres -48 seats--makes it a completely enjoyable experience.

We had dinner there before the movie. It was very convenient since otherwise we would not have enough time to eat elsewhere. They had small dishes (also convenient), and the food was quite good.The only thing I did not like is that many of these dishes were fried options.

Its located in FAU, and because of that is very sofisticated in the movies choice. Besides, cafe is alsough very good :)

Awesome seating, great food and coffee drinks - they even will deliver your food to your seat in the movie theater. Highly Recommended! Leave a little extra time to find the building though - I had to ask someone.

This is my first time here. Great little theater with fantastic films you cant see anywhere else. Great food also served at your seat. Make sure you get a seat with a table. The reason I only gave 3 stars is for the service. The employees seem to not want to be there and arent very helpful. Maybe it was an off day, but they did not work well together.

I love this theater. This is the best movie experience with food and wine at an affordable price. Its like watching a movie in a private screening room with great service. They have a great selection of indie films, documentaries and foreign films you cant always see elsewhere. Its also nice to support a place employing the college kids on campus.

Ist time there, very cozy and comfortable

Before I went there years ago I thought it was a bunch of old couches. Its actually a very comfortable, clean theater. They show excellent films. There is a discussion night on Wednesdays. Student art fills the walls. The in-theater cafe is good too. You can get food brought to you at your seat as well. There are not many seats in each theater so Moviepass users(like me) could get shut out or stuck real close to the screen for popular films or in season.

Love this place. Off beat movies. Extremely comfortable. Good food and drink. No children. What more could you want?

Only 2 of them in the entire country! (other one in Portland, OR). It features a lot of of independent & foreign movies that you would normally wont see in the theaters. Definitely a niche theater! they have an upscale kitchen instead of the normal stuff and serve micro-brews, wine, pizza, and other dishes.Discounts for FAU students, faculty, and staff. Highly recommend!

Good movie selection but too much perfume on those older ladies. Its like all the perfume bottles at Macys smashed on the floor and these older ladies rolled on around on the floor before coming to the theater.. PLEASE MAKE A NO PERFUME POLICY SO THAT Americans with chemical sensitivity can come to the theater.

Great films, foreign films and variety of cinema and musical events

I love this place. Great seats, great movies, nice restaurant good prices and easy and relaxing night. Supports community and college as well.

I usually always come to this restaurant to eat before my class. Brought some friends sometimes. However, today, was a different experience. I didn’t get seated. didn’t get a menu. didn’t get served. I had to be the one to go up front and ask for a menu, and then for my order to be placed after waiting for a little while. I even had to ask for my check. And when I got it, I also had to be the one to go up front to give it after waiting for a while. There was ZERO communication made with me from the moment I walked in. Is this the way customers who walk in are ought to be treated? I left no tip obviously because I was NOT servered or simply even TALKED to, unlike other customers in the restaurant. People who came after me were greeted, served a menu, served their food, etc. Why didn’t I receive the same treatment? I usually do with another server who I noticed wasn’t here today. I left no tip for the reasons listed above and the guy who claims to be the manager responded that I might as well not eat in the restaurant and take the food to go if I’m not going to tip. I answered kindly about why I didn’t leave a tip the way I usually do when i come in because of the treatment I received. And he stared at me without saying a word because I’m obviously right and he knows it. I usually always leave a tip but after being constantly and repeatedly IGNORED, why should I? I called to speak to someone about it, and he was the one who picked up. I once again explained everything, and he went on to say that “I usually come in the restaurant and never leave a tip for the server I had today”, which is A LIE because I always leave a tip, like I said. this was my first time getting served by the server I had so that also proves how much of a lie that was. So here I am, leaving this review because no one should ever be treated with such disrespect especially after explaining everything. He didn’t apologize on the phone, just asked for my email and proceeded to end the conversation. What a shame. Used to love this place, but I won’t be back. Both the server and the guy up front were rude to me and unprofessional from beginning to end. I’m not the type to leave reviews for a situation that could easily be avoided so if I wrote this much, it’s for a reason. No matter what, no words would ever be able to accurately describe how disrespectful the treatment I received was. The guy who claims to be the manager that I spoke to is probably going to leave a reply back since this is a bad review and I know it’s going to be BS, with the intention of either 1) telling me I’m wrong or 2) leave a BS apology response to look somewhat professional. No apology was issued when I spoke to him and he honestly could care less about how I feel. He was blantatly so rude for NO legitimate reason. Now he can pretend to be professional & understanding under these Google reviews. There’s no way an actual manager, who is supposed to value honesty, customer service, integrity, and respect could treat a customer who stopped by to eat this way.

The seats at this theatre are HORRENDOUS. SOOO uncomfortable. Many years ago they were great but now they are torn up, swooping inward, uneven cushion support as they are deteriorated. I guess they have no money for any upgrades but if youre older with any back issues, DONT GO. We were crippled sitting in them. Such a shame as good movies are there.

Excellent little theater and a real cultural asset to Boca Raton. It has a lot of fantastic films that you arent going to see anywhere else in the area. Many of which youre only going to get to see in New York or LA. It means living in Palm Beach County, you dont have to limit your theater viewing options to watered-down wide release films. Its comfortable, relaxing, and intimate.The only drawback is it is clearly not for students, despite being on FAUs campus. The prices, film selection, ambiance, and menu are clearly meant to cater to the affluent, older Boca Raton community, and thats largely who shows up. It doesnt have the youthful, art house charm of a typical campus theater. Theres not much in the way of experimental cinema, student films, or cult classics. The only twenty-somethings you will see are serving you refreshments. Youll quickly forget you are on a college campus, which can be a positive or negative for you.
