Amazing museum! Free entry through September! Great to teach kids and adults alike.

Went there on a rainy day with our 3 and 6 yr old girls. The staff was very friendly but the exhibits werent very kids friendly. We didnt take a guide or anything like that so our brief tour was very fast.The place was free for all of us and pretty empty.We all asked to wear masks (from age 2!)

The exhibit Eye to I: Self-portraits from the National Portrait Gallery was exceptional because of the superb depth and breadth of the wall text which drew me in and proved a very engaging and informative experience.

Nice museum, it has now a self portrait selection which is really interesting, I loved the self portrait of a cuban artist. they also have a photography exposition of African culture celebrations and its also quite interesting. they are open on different hours due to the covid situation, but admission is free until September.

This is a distinguished museum with a wonderful collection. Not only does it have paintings but also sculptures, decorative arts, furniture, textiles, costumes, drawings, pastels, watercolors, collages, prints, artists books, photographs, and installation art. You can get free entry on select days. Check out their website for more on that. There is also a lot of options to eat and shop nearby, so you can make it a fun day out.

The Boca Raton Museum of Art is a beautiful place with rotating curated art exhibitions and scheduled live events. A perfect place for relaxation, children, family outings or individuals seeking visual stimulation via internationally displayed fine art, antiquarian books, oil paintings, photography and modern hand craftsmanship. The Boca Raton Museum of Art is a great two-story museum located in Mizner Park. This Museum houses a large variety of work. Upstairs houses the permanent collection (including African art), and the downstairs are the temporary/traveling exhibits.I visited the Boca Raton Museum of Art for the second time in July 2018. Admission was free for the entire month thanks to PNC Bank.The two main exhibits were tapestry/carpet and a large collection of Lisette Models photography.When you arrive, I recommend finding out when the free one-hour guided tours are offered. We did this and enjoyed the information that the guide shared.I dont live far from the Boca Raton Museum of Art, but I always forget its there. I want to get in the habit of checking their website regularly to see what the traveling exhibits are. I definitely want to visit this museum more often.

For a local museum, the collections are intriguing and thoughtfully curated. When we visited, there were incredible works of glass and mixed assembly pieces, with a wonderful mix of oil and watercolor paintings. Stop by for an hour or so and roam around. Dont miss the red mangrove trees reproduced from 85,000 crystals!

Great visit to this museum with our grandkids. Had a guided tour with a wonderful lady. She explained a lot to the kids and made them look at art with a critical eye, letting them interpret different pieces. She had excellent control of the kids all the time making the visit very enjoyable. The kids had a chance to express their artistic aptitudes at the end of the visit.

Great museum with some exclusive collection. I would had love for this place to allow to ppl, the use of a camera flash just for the dark rooms, or the use of the tripod. Otherwise I will definitely visit again.

This museum pretty small compared to some others I have been to. However this art museum has a few different popular artists, little diversity art wise, and a few little things to amuse children. Things for children to do includes a room that has TVs playing cartoons with children books on shelves and a paper handed out at the front desk that if completed a prize will be rewarded. This museum is good however I beleive it needs a bigger selection.

Lovely collections on display, large array of different styles. Permanent collection features incredible artifacts from early Mesoamerican cultures in fantastic shape. Sculpture garden a must-see. Bring you student ID for free admission

This was my first visit to the museum. It was great that guests were allowed in free during July, and students are always free. Whether the gallery is large or small, is irrelevant. Allowing the public to have access to diverse art forms is essential. I enjoyed the visit with my family. Sharing our different views about the collection was memorable. We took a lot of pictures and had a great time. Thank you.

It is a small place with not a lot to offer but what they do have to offer is quite worth the visit. Not a place you will spend a long time but they have some top notch exhibits.

The upstairs is a typical museum with a permanent gallery of diverse and interesting pieces. Down stairs is a rotating display, this one was rather eclectic and had some odd stuff. Overall the museums is beautiful and worth the stop.

Great way to spend the day

Huge bldg. Beautiful set up for exhibits two floors and outdoors. Houses priceless pieces of art among most recent artists. Free parking. Entrance free all month of July 2019. A must see.

This museum is small and understated, and appears to be trying to figure out what it would like to be when it grows up. It features some interesting artworks, a couple of permanent exhibitions mixed with some topical, temporary exhibits. Entrance was free for the month (bank sponsored). Few people in attendance on a Sunday afternoon when we expected it to be busy. It has a gift shop with interesting goodies, and friendly staff.

I highly recommend this museum. The place is very clean, the staff is very welcoming and freeing and they are always working on keeping their art work progressive.

This is a Great museum offering contemporary and period art and sculptures. The current exhibit on comic book art alone was worth the trip. The exterior sculpture garden was quite interesting and picture worthy. Planning on a return trip soon and awaiting the next exhibit. The museum is located in Mizner park and is a great way to start a nice day out followed by shopping and dining.

Large museum with magnificent pieces. It features carious exhibits from different artists that change periodically so check the website to see what is showing. I saw the Jewish history exhibit and learned a thing or two as well. One of my favorite museums in South Florida!

I stumbled on this place while exploring Mizner Park. The location is great. It is small (relatively, compared to other art museums), but they use the space well. I dont really get this contemporary art, but there is such a diverse collection of media and artists that I was able to find things that interest me, even if only for the weird factor. I enjoyed the outdoor sculptures, the permanent exhibits and the temporary comic book exhibit (Beyond the Cape). I learned quite a bit. The price is reasonable. It is definitely worth a visit.

As an artist myself, I never thought I would come from LA and see such an expansive, gender neutral collection. Bravo to the management for being inclusive and welcoming.

A little small, but lovely. Artist names you will recognize. Located in a wonderful park with restaurants and shopping, right off HWY 1...! Use the parking garage in the NW corner of Mizner...for easy access...

This museum has a great selection of a variety of artistic items. There are many events to enjoy and there is always a special exhibition. There is something for everyone to enjoy. It is located downtown with many wonderful restaurants.

Wonderful employees.

Food was delicious, but is a very noisy restaurant. Good for groups having a fun time, but definitely not for a quiet dinner or conversation. We were there on a Saturday night, so maybe other nights are not so loud.

It is a small and lovely museum with an interesting donated collection. I love the gift shop. The products are fantastic and for sale at reasonable prices. The reason I only gave the Boca Raton Museum only 4 stars is because I so happened to be at the there at a time when the special exhibition was not set up yet but I still have to pay the same entrance fee. I think it should have been at a reduced rate. All in all this is a great place to enjoy an afternoon. It is in a great area with lots of restaurants and free parking.

Usually the good thing about this place is that they have deals going on all the time.I came here for the first time and it was such a quiet peaceful environment.

The museum has so much in itself. It is altogether a combined mix of beautiful green gardens and great art collection. Being a nature lover, i totally enjoyed the time i spent with my family in the flower gardens.

The special exhibits are outstanding. Its always enjoyable to see the permanent offerings as well. Such an eclectic mix of art - from photos to glass to the tapestries- was a joy.

Great art classes here. Good, experienced and patient teachers. Highly recommend for this.

Free entrance because we visited last Saturday of July. Tapestry collection was wonderful. They even had Kehinde. Their permanent collection is quite impressive too. Compact enough but offers one a variety of periods

This is a really cool museum with free admission.The have lots of room to move around among the different displays of all kinds of art. Youre bound to find some really fascinating pieces.There are also temporary exhibits and limited space concerts.If youre looking for a different way to spend an afternoon, this is a fun place to check out.
