Its always a nice place to play. Im glad it is open this summer even with the pandemic, 2020, but more people should wear masks while on the beach. Good in the sand play ground for young kids. A great facility for bathrooms and showers that is currently closed.
I went to bush lake to do some landscape photography. However, it was too early in the spring for my taste as everything was still brown and rather dead looking, and not much wildlife due to high winds. It was a much larger lake and park than I thought it would be though and Ill be going back for sure when things are blossoming. Here is a pic off a dock in the middle of the lake though.
A nice small lake. Enjoyable and not too crowded. Easy to get boats in and out. No motors allowed (except maybe trolling). Great for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. Water is quite warm and clear in summer.
Great place for outdoor recreational activities. Follow my IG @ keacherr
Such a nice place to go. They have multiple areas to get into the water depending on what you want to do. Dog friendly with a nice trail and picnic area.Small Beach yet decently sized.
Sumac knoll is a great place for local outdoor camping.
Love this side of the lake as well. Good trails and nice piers.
Their beach was fairly big park was clean only downside they only have 3 outhouses 2 playgrounds but I did enjoy almost everyone was keeping their distance
I love the view and structure of the park.
I didnt see George Bush, Barbara Bush, Billy Bush, Bushs best beans. I didnt see Bush Tushmagush nor did I see Kate Bush, Skate Bush, Rollerskate Bush. I did see the plant bush. Robert Plant made a bush plant that makes artisanal bushes from handmade ingredients. He called the bush plant Plants Plant Bush, an artisanal bush plant. They had a sign that saidAsk about Plants Plant Bushs bush planting Plant was nervous about the CIA planting bugs which made him buggy because they would plant the bug on the plant. A bug that looked like a bug is what Plant used to say about the bugs on the plants. If anyone plants those bugs I Robert Plant will make you face plant. I like turtles.
We dont miss the GREEDY government fees to enjoy Gods nature.
Lovely place to relax. The huge trees are really satisfying
What an amazing lake to go swimming, fishing or canoeing.
Nice play areas, picnic areas, and in general a pretty nice park. The main downside about the passenger is theres lots of seaweed and its pretty mucky/muddy.
Nice place to beat the heat kids love coming here to swim
Park is going to need city attention, park is looking dirty.
Nice beach. Calm, clear water.
Beautiful sight and place to fish.
Fun place but the docks where not out
Less busy than Normandale, Very few water fowl polluting the paths & water
We have used this place three times for large group picnics. There is ample parking, shaded shelter, beautiful views of the lake, nice walking paths, clean bathrooms, a fishing dock and swimming beach. Very nice summer gathering place.
This is a great creative little park with sand. In fact, it is on the beach area. It has two small slides and two climb areas. The view in the fall is beautiful! Lots of places to grill and picnic.
Always beautiful, quiet, convenient lake in the south metro
When I rented it out, they were very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful place and perfect playground for a kids birthday party.
Big park, multiple picnic spots
Great beach to relax with friends and family
Pretty view for kayakers
Easy to get kayaks in and out of the lake. The beach is a little pricey and its hard to find a parking spot on weekends.Park at the other side of the lake, walk to peninsula on the same side by the fishing dock and swim for free. Its shallow and safe for the kids.
A great park and boat launch. And you can walk to point to swim, dogs are welcome. There are 2 good fishing docks. Sand volleyball court. 2 pavilions that seat 50+ people with bathrooms, drinking fountains.
Lots of space, good accommodations
Nice park, great place for swimming or a picnic.
Great beach for families.
Been going there for 55 years, enough said
My grandson enjoyed his fishing experience. .kayaking is popular over here .calm and cool place well maintained
Nice park with canoeing, picnic shelter, picnic tables, childrens playground, and volleyball court. Starting June 10, you may purchase a season or daily parking permit on site at Bush Lake Beach using cash or credit/debit only.
Great nearby lake!
Nice beach. But be ready to pay $8 for parking. However there are lifeguards at the beach and even a shower house so it is probably worth it.
Such a nice area to go for a walk. Only downside are the irresponsible fishermen that dont clean up after themselves. I find lines all the time in the grass by the water. Sometimes hooks and fake worms too. Would be saver for all the wildlife and the dogs that swim there if they would ban fishing at the lake.
Very nice park. Grandkids loved it
This place is so clean and peaceful. Ample space for a barbecue and family fun!
Was very nice
Today we had better than beautiful weather and the lake was just gorgeous!
Great lake to walk around!
Great little place in the middle of a crowded place. Lots of wildlife to see and a decent size parking lot! I recommend stopping by and taking a little breather on a stressful day.
Beautiful woodland setting. Plenty of parking, and well maintained.
Very beautiful and scenic area for outdoor entertaining activities....best place for picnic, lake swimming, barbecue, little hiking, biking, fishing etc. It has a public restroom too.
Calm and quiet place. Serene environment. Lots of clean sits and tables in front of the lake. Parking very close.
Beautiful landscape, quiet earthly trails. Public bathrooms and play area for children, clean and well kept. Neighborhood family friendly and pet friendly. Cities workers definitely doing there job. One of my favorite places in Minnesota.
One of the few clean lakes around you can actually swim in, without feeling like you are swimming in toxic sludge. Also popular for fishing, kayaking, walking on the trails. Very dog friendly!
Great beach with plenty of shade and shallow areas for little ones.
Love this beach
Great place to relax, fish, walk and ride bikes. Plenty of family activity and great for dogs. Gazebo is well maintained and grounds are well kept
First time here for a grad party. Very easy to locate shelters and very pretty.
Kids loved it there. Am going to take them back to play.
Peaceful lake and plenty to do from walking your dog to paddling on the lake
Best kept secret in the twin cities!
One of the best beaches in the Twin cities. Water is clear, sand is well maintained, facilities are always clean. Great way to spend an afternoon, and bike paths go straight to it.
Love that park
Nice beach with clear water to see fish. Concessions stand had decent snacks and small variety. I recommend a visit
Park facilities are nice and things are kept clean. Parking can be expensive though
I enjoyed the many trail options but was disappointed that the trail ended so abruptly. I would love to one day see the trail wind around the entire lake. Other than that, it was a fantastic experience.
Our family had a picnic for Memorial Day. Why would they come and lock the bathroom before 5:00 PM while the park is packed? We are seniors that had to walk extremely far just to get there and locked.
Beautiful walking park and the trails connect to Highland park and many miles of hiking and biking trails. There is a compostable waste drop off bin located next to the maintenance building at the 95th st. Entrance. The waste must be in paper or compostable plastic bags. For details on this free service check the Bloomington city web site.
Love this side of the park, enjoyed our walk.
Great park. Great little lake!
Nice fish, not the cleanest water
Beautiful park, very nice and serene.
Good
Quiet peaceful lake.
Awesome lake for bass fishing. Beautiful surroundings. Great place for walks, water sports fishing winter or summer.
The park is beautiful and there are a ton of shelters and pay areas for kids as well as adults. Volleyball nets are up, there are walking paths. I love this park!
A great place to spend a day with the family!!! Multiple areas with picnic tables and grills. Beautiful scenery with great trails. The landcape seems to be well upkept and free of trash. Bathrooms are pretty good for a public park. Sidewalks are wheelchair accessible. Great lake for bass fishing! Would absoluty recommend coming here. I will definitely be returning!
Ample parking with a great ramp to help launch your kayak. Small motor lake that helps keep the waffle down
Fantastic
Really beautiful park with lots of great views, fishing spots, picnic areas, and swimming spots.
A great park. Bring dog all the time for a swim.
Corporate picnic heaven.
Very clean beach and the play ground on the sand was the perfect size for our littles.
Very nice lake beach and picnic area. Well maintained.
Clean, nice park.
Great walking and hammocking place
Great lake to sup
Musky tigers are within. Good variety and well maintained.
Pretty lake...
Lovely pavilion for a picnic
Good place for barbeque
Gorgeous Facility, was an excellent location for our company picnic
Too may (unpleasant female types, the kind you get to see next Tuesday) and their dogs interfered with fishing. Good thing there are 9,999 other lakes to chose from.
Fun to swim here...plus the docks on the lake are fun to jump off of
Very beautiful Lake with beach. Also has boat access. For sure, favorite place.
Lovely park for a light walk. Can have a a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, be prepared.
The best lake in the metro
