NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Went here to see how our dog would do in the water. The sign leading to the beach says All pets must be on a leash. Dont be fooled. As soon as they see your dog they will either ask you to leave or send you on a ~10 minute walk to the muddy areas of water that are conveniently not visible to the other beachgoers. Whats worse is the people at the entrance saw our dog when we came in and didnt give us a heads up about any of the restricted areas for pets.

Run the Pate Hollow trail frequently. A great place for a hilly, quiet run.

The bathrooms are disgusting... !! The beach is tiny and rocky ..wear your shoes. Nice picnic area and lake is huge..

Good fishing.

Cost 9$ for a car but u can hike in 1 mile for free. Husband and i did just a quarter mile and had to turn around. So many trees down on the path and some of path had been washed away. Pretty sad its not being maintained.

This review is only for the lake Monroe.Pros:1. Pretty big lake.2. Great scenery.Things I didnt like this place.1. Too many people.2. So too many motor boats in the lake.3. A lot of campers.4. This place is not for people who are looking to spend quality time in nature.5. They ask $9(for non Indiana residents) to get inside and I didnt think it was worth it.6. Mosquitos and insects all over the place, may be because of the littering and so many people.
