It was good service, nice people. And the food was wonderful I totally recommend coming here for the food and if you like some IU history/aesthetic. Good place to come if your new to town and are looking for a place to eat/ have a nice drink to start or end your day. 100% recommend.

Truly the areas best pounded pork tenderloin with great fries. May be enough calories for one day LOL, but a special treat. We carried out for the entire family this weekend and everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately for the staff, the dining room was nearly empty so call ahead and you could easily socially distance! The Beef Manhattan is great, the spicy pepper jack cheese cubes are delicious, and their menu is on Facebook. When in the area, this is the place for a Hoosier Tenderloin!

The service is great here. I usually eat here through lunch time and the food is also great. I’ve also posted some images of the food I’ve had here. The jalapeño burger was more surprising than I thought it would be, cheesy and spicy. The tenderloin is so big you could just about make 3 sandwiches out of one. It’s juicy and tender and definitely worth the small price they put on it.

LOVE the hot and still popping pork rinds. I had those and fried mushrooms for a meal. Love it. If I were to change anything it would only be to bring down the salt in the breading a tad. Love their food.

I haven’t been in Indiana in 40 years. I had to come to IU for some classes, so I did a search for Bloomington Pork Tenderloin sandwiches. None of the places sounded like what I wanted, so I asked the front desk clerk at the Holiday Inn Express where she would recommend. She immediately told me to go here.I’m glad I did. Sandwich was excellent. Service was fine, and prices are reasonable. Customers were friendly. Indiana is still a nice place, like I remember it.

So? If you burn toast on one side and you still make a grilled cheese and hide the burnt side with cheese is it still burnt?

Our local neighborhood bar. Food is decent, if not great. Always at correct temp - hot if its supposed to be hot, cold if its supposed to be cold. Wait staff is efficient and attentive.Their pork tenderloin is very good - and HUGE. I always take at least half home with me. Chicken strips are good, as are the fries and burgers. Fish sandwich was excellent on one occasion, undersized and overcooked on another. Iced tea is awful; dont bother.Im not much of a drinker, so cant comment on that. Atmosphere is friendly, a nice place to relax and chat.

Normally a great experience- nothing about tonight was great or even close. Bad service, family side was dirty, tables not cleared, slow and poor service and food was not up to par. Bad night? I dont know- but going to be a LONG time before I go back.

Nice little hole in the wall close to home. Usually come in here on Sundays for football and beer. They have several TVs and big screens with Sunday ticket and are more than willing to put on whatever game you want to see. Super friendly staff and pretty good bar food.

Food is good. Drinks are alright. Sometimes its crowded, sometimes it surprisingly not. Has a family dining area of you have kids. Staff is usually friendly. Grab a Tenderloin, they are tasty.

The place was nice...with a pretty good atmosphere..but it seemed like the staff was slightly understaffed and overwhelmed....could have used at least another server..probably two... my server was very nice...but spread too thin...which was ok...but I kept having to flag someone down to get the extra things that I needed. A smooth rock / jazz or country band would have been nice ...but I had to listen to lots of yacking .. seems like the sound really reverberates in there ...need to soften the sound somehow...all they had was a touch tunes....food was good...but not great. Seemed clean, with a nice, happy crowd...with better food, more staff and good entertainment, this place could be top shelf.

Friendly staff, good food, good prices.

This place has gone down hill lately. There has been a high turn over of waiters, if you come with a large group your bill will get messed up and there is a bar tender who has been particularly nasty as of late. I have seen this particular bartender turn away people with service animals, refuse to remake a drink that visibly had way too much grenadine (or take it off the bill when the customer insisted on sending it back.) Last time I was there, the waiter spilled lemon aid all over me and at the end of the night the bartender asked who was the lucky one with the lemon aid. I thought she came to apologize, but no apparently the billing system glitched and didnt print off a receipt for a lemonade and one meal and she was accusing us of deliberately hiding the receipt.The food is good. The owner is amazing and hilarious. I use to frequent this place often. However, the service has turned from average to horrible. As long as you dont go with several friend, order a mixed drink, and dont mind it taking a while to get beverage, you will probably be alright.

We were a party of 8 for dinner on Oct. 18th in the family section. Service was absolutely terrible. We waited for an hour for our food after we ordered. Tenderloins were great. Burgers so done and hard they couldnt be eaten. Young waiter was nice but overwhelmed. We were the only people on that side of the building so we simply were neglected. I suggest if you cant eat in the bar area dont go.

This is the second and last time I will eat here. The wait to get the food was terrible! There were seven people seated and it took over 30 minutes to get a burger and fries after I ordered. The server was apologetic, but the food wasn’t worth the wait.

There food is great!! But the service wasnt the best. My friend and I went there to eat before a appointment that we had to go to. There was 45min to eat. Our appt was next door. There was one other table with 2 men at it. At the 45 min mark our food still hadnt come out yet. So we sat for 45min drink a soda and a tea. Had to get our food to go. We couldnt wa t it until after appt and by then it was cold and meat was out too long. So it was a total waste of money and time.

Service extremely slow, during a pretty slow night. Dont order steak, they dont know how to cook it! Asked for medium rare, served well done. On the upside, the tenderloin sandwich was great.

Typical bar atmosphere, without the cult atmosphere and cloud of smoke at Kennys. Food is good food, beer is cold! Only complaints are that the music can be loud and you cannot get beer in the family room and you cannot take kids in the seating area separate from the bar. Some skewed, personal interpretation of the minors in taverns law. I can have a kid near the bar in Applebees or BW3s, but the law is different here apparently.
