Excellent place to visit in Hoover, Alabama. Very good picnic area and nice scenic drives.

Beautiful trails and vistas at the back end of the park. Great place to walk, run, hike, mountain bike. Don’t forget the $5 entrance fee if you are visiting for the first time.

Everyone at the beach area was respectful and polite. We all had a great weekend at the park. Well definitely be going back soon for another camping trip!!

Beautiful and fun. Grandkids had a blast. Not too crowded in the morning. We left by noon and it seemed to be getting busy.

Such a cheap, beautiful and fun place for families of all sizes! Pet friendly, and some of the most beautiful trails in the state! We hiked the white trail to Peavine Falls today. The water was up, and flowing beautifully! Theres so much to do for adult admission of $5!!! I recommend everyone bring their family here at least once!!

A great park with something for everyone. Fishing was a blast at the Back Gate at Oak Mountain.

This mountainous, wooded park boasts hundreds of acres for biking, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, camping and swimming. Theres even a little farm for the kids, as well as a wildlife interpretive center. Admission prices are quite reasonable too!

Easy entrance to go into the park and brings me right to the fishing area. Love oak mountain and all the options you have.

Easy access to Lunker and oak mountain lakes. Short ride to the north trailhead where you can access eagles nest overlook, kings chair overlook and Maggies Glen through different trails.

Great big beautiful nature areas. Can swing, kayak,canoe,rent cabinsDrive to the top of the city. Unbelievable views and peace and quiet. Loved it. Had a picnic,swam.

What can I say about the back gate that I cant about the front? Both gates are equally nice, but theres just something about the back one that keeps me coming back!

Amazing! Horseback riding, biking, and swimming all in one day all in one location. Doesnt get better than that.

If you are used to just flat land like myself, this is a beautiful mountain with many options in the park like golf, fishing, kayaking, feeding animals, Etc

It was very quite and calm everyone was enjoying their families dressed for the sun and fun .Loved it will return ...No doubt.

Wonderful place for a day out with the family. Lots of stuff to rent to enjoy water activities. Nice sand area for kids to swim. Prople were out on boats and fishing. The only complaint I have us most state parks are $5 or $10 per car load as long as you dont abuse it. This place was $5.00 each person in the car. My granddaughter was free for being under 2. The Orange Beach state Park that has showers and more for you to use is only $5.00 a car load. Other than the cost this is a great place to take the family for the day.

The back entrance is super handy!! The back part has most of the same stuff as the rest of the park, except here they have the Flipside.

Went out om my brothers birthday. They told my mom there were outlets and also a HUGE AREA OF SAND. He couldnt even play in sand. I would ask for money back. He was sad because all he wanted to do was make a sandcastle. Thx u lying child dream crushing folks.

A wonderful large woodland park to play golf, swim, hike, picnic, ride horses, view the countryside, fish, and many other activities.

This park has a variet of activities horse back riding, biking, fishing, volleyball, a beach for swimming and an underground cave to explore with water. Its awesome!

The back gate is an excellent way to quickly access the beautiful fishing and wake board areas within the park. There are also a few picnic areas to the right of this entrance that overlook the lake.

What is there not to like about Alabamas biggest state park. It has biking, hiking, camping, fishing, picnicking, trails and just troll up the lake in tour motor vehicle. Theres plenty to do. Come and visit.
