I performed my first show here and really enjoyed and hope to do it again.
Whether they are seasoned actors or new to the theater, this a wonderful place for kids and teens to to participate in musicals. great productions! parking is scarce so that can be a pain if you have to park further away and walk.. particularly when the weather is bad. but for the experiences, its worth it. the staff that helps make these productions come to life really do a fantastic job!
The musical we saw was so fun. It really was the perfect thing to get you in the holiday spirit. The Best Christmas Pageant Ever was funny and heart-warming. The kids did an excellent job! The theater was built in 1927. Its so cool inside. Loved the whole experience! No seat is a bad seat.
Great location and a jewel in the crown of the Birmingham area. Being able to brag about having this in our city is something that makes me happy. Love this place.
Have seen multiple plays here, from one person historical pieces to large musicals. Always stellar and in a beautiful building. What a great addition to the neighborhood!
Great old theatre. Have seen many plays there.I get asked for a review every time I go there to pick up my granddaughter from play practice, Marry Poppins .
For some reason this theatre blocks the avenue behind it with people after a show. It is located in between apartment buildings where parking is already limited. While trying to get home It took ten minutes to get 75 feet to park. While navigating through the large group of several hundred one guy was trying to fight me because I was trying to drive down the ave that is allotted for my buildings parking. Seriously need to have someone navigating people out of the street to prevent injuries and not subject locals to threats simply for trying to park.
Nice, albeit small, venue. Parking is a nightmare, but that’s not their fault.
Nice place. Realatively small amd cozy theater.
Cabaret was wonderfully done. Thank you
Very nice perfomance. Theater is of course very old. Seating is close. Parking is a big challenge. Done a nice job on making lobby, rest rooms and other public areas look nice.
Amazing cast and performance of Scrooge. And my family members are critics, as we own the DVD of Scrooge (1970) and watch it every year! Very satisfied!
Great small theater. Very clean facility and helpful staff. We saw the million dollar quartet it was top notch!
Wonderful production. Top notch. Seats are a little small for modern America
I saw final dress rehearsal of Always Patsu Cline! It was very good!
VST is one of Birmingham’s gems! I leave every performance with more respect for the actors and staff. They do an outstanding job at bringing a season full of great theatre for everyone to enjoy!

Great night of theatre! Man of LaMancha was amazing in this jewel of a theatre.
Did not actually go inside.Just check to see if they took regular talent off the street but usually closed and locked up when I do go by.
