We loved this place! Was not to busy and had hand sanitizer on each level. You can learn a lot, you’re going to be spending around 2 to 3 hours here . You learn about boats, seafood, islands around the coast and so much more. They also have a hall you can rent, someone was holding a baby shower there while we visited .$15. For adults $13. For seniors .

Great little museum on the Mississippi gulf coast. Were working with a new client who is heavily involved in the revival of the Mississippi seafood industry, specifically as it relates to oyster fisheries. That same client recommended our creative team visit this museum to familiarize with the regions history and evolution. It was a great recommendation and we have much more of a historical perspective to begin working on this new project.

Seafood is the best food ever, its always nice to see the history of something you never thought about. 90% of people will never be eating crab and think I wonder about how they use to get them. But its very informative.

The museum has wonderful displays with historical details about the seafood industry and lots of local boating history. We spent roughly 2-1/2 hours there and couldve easily spent another hour. The museum is 3 floors of videos and displays that were incredibly informative. The museum closes at 4:30 so plan accordingly. We arrived around 2 oclock and still missed some displays and videos we really would have liked to see. And we missed the gift shop completely. I wouldve really enjoyed looking at the artwork for sale as well as the jewelry. Were planning on coming back to the area and have added this to our must see again items.

This is a great museum! The staff is very friendly. There are three levels. They suggested that we start at the top level. This was great advice. We really enjoyed the hurricane history room. The seafood industry equipment is very neat. The sailboats are beautiful. They have a military, senior, and student discount. So, its a reasonable price.

What a beautiful museum. I cant wait to bring my husband there when he gets in town. They had a room dedicated to hurricane Katrina. It made me cry to watch the movie they showed. I had no idea this area was hit so hard. It seems the news at the time concentrated mostly on New Orleans.

Im always interested in museums that tell the story of the industry of an area, and this one does an excellent job. It also portrays the people who made Biloxi the seafood capital of the world in the early 1900s, how they lived and why things changed. Beautiful boats build locally, great use of video. And just the right size - worth visiting!

This local museum presents its topic in an engaging and meaningful way. Ideally, attend with your mom who can point out her shrimper-fathers name on the statue and at the end of the video on the second floor; short of that - go see this museum for a genuine flavor of Biloxi - former fishing-capital of the world. BONUS - by presenting the effects of various storms on the region over the years and the specific, permanent effects on the area due to hurricane Katrina, this museum can be viewed as a warning to the world about what may be lost in the near future due to climate change.

This is an extraordinary local museum. The displays are generally well organised and informative. The graphic wall sequence of coastal zone history requires attention, but is worth it. The long videos about the evolution of maritime commerce show the challenges and immense changes faced by the folks that weathered it.
