Last visit was before renovation started. Pretty run down at that point. A maze to try to figure out how to get around. Well see if the renovation helps or if they are just putting lip stick on a pig. Parking will still be a major problem.
Beautiful well maintained older theater, with absolutely fantastic acoustics! Have sat in the balcony and down on the main floor and was able to here everything perfectly. Even in the furthest back row at floor level, I could see perfectly what was going on.
My Grammy sang in the Messiah Festival. It was a treat! Their was a choir and a few opera singers. The chairs were old, yet they did the trick. It was absolutely free for me, so I wasnt complaining. It was very easy to get out and come in. Parking wasnt too arduous either.
A piece of Billings history and a cultural corner stone for the arts in the area. Capable of housing some very large shows ABT has been a delight to attend for the last 30 years. The theater will be closed for a while in 2019 but should be back up late. 2020.
A spectacular theater with great acoustics, nicely laid out, and is well supported by the Billings community. We just saw a Chopin concert by a duo playing cello and piano, and it was a wonderful and sophisticated experience. They host a great diversity of events for all ages and interests.
My Bf performed in the orchestra the gutted the inside and out refurbished the whole theater. Looking forward to seeing and enjoying the night out when it’s finished!
Great venue for live music. The sound is good and there isnt a bad seat in the house. I wish the concessionaires stayed open a little longer, though.
They always have great acts, music and performances. Volunteers assist you in finding your seat. Wine and beer are available in the lobby
The Nutcracker performance was amazing! Great local talent woven in with the San Diego dance company. My only concern is that there were so many stairs! Where are the elevators?
Great show tonight. Midtown Men doing 60s music and some Christmas favorites. Very enjoyable evening. Wonderful venue.
I love it. The performance was amazing and it just was astonishing. I have no words.
Always have good shows. The concession stand is nice as well. Enjoy a craft beer or wine and be entertained
Alberta Bair theater is great place for entertainment with culture but the place really needs to be refurbished. Its not like its falling apart but its just very oddly put together. We have had a problem lately with the venue and recently went to what we thought was a full production of Carmen and it turned out to be a partial production and it was so bad that during intermission we had to leave we couldnt stand another minute and we noticed there were a lot of other people leaving to. So when theyre on point they do great but they need to really pay attention to what their looking for entertainment because its going downhill. My recommendation would be just be selective and really research what youre going to go see otherwise its fine.
A great place to enjoy the arts of the town. We went for Comedy night and they staff were so nice!
Always a great experience at ABT. Places like this are a big reason why I like living in Billings. I dont attend events here regularly, I am pretty selective, but all the productions I have seen were memorable and well done, most recently A Charlie Brown Christmas. Most seats are good to great, comfortable and plenty of room. Concessions are not too big a priority for me, but whenever Ive indulged they have been fine.
I actually help set up for a show here it looks really nice and they will be upgrading soon cant wait
I have seen many shows here. The staff is helpful. The prices are usually pretty decent depending on what your going to see. There is a large focus on smaller or local shows which is nice but I do wish there was a greater variety of national popular shows and on a more frequent basis, although the Alberta Bair Theater might have less control over that then I am aware of.
Just left the absolutely fantastic show, Spamalot! Perfect venue, great sound and lighting, EXCELLENT PERFORMERS!!!So glad I went!
Wonderful venue- even nicer after the renovation completed next year!
Great place for live entertainment. Has a great assortment of offerings from symphony to plays to off Broadway productions. Not a bad seat in the house.
Just a great venue, weve been here several times over the years. Looking forward to the renovated theater, hope they dont take away the charm of the place.
Attended the Billings Clinic Classic where our party enjoyed the performance of singing artist Jewel. The concert was wonderful as she has an amazing vocal range. For quite a few songs she would perform either a capella or with the music very soft and low; it was at these times the performance was ruined by the loud banter and laughter that could be heard from the lobby as it seeped through the exit doors behind our row (located at the very center of the rear of the theatre). It was extremely distracting and disappointing. Why there were folks outside the door making so much noise instead of enjoying the show made absolutely no sense so we had to assume it was the volunteers/employees that were responsible for the ruckus. This experience tarnished what was otherwise an enjoyable evening.
It is a good place to live theater and the have musicals by all of the performers that the.
The play Kinky Boots was fabulous but the acoustics were horrible. Couldnt understand most of the dialogue or lyrics.Cant wait for the renovation
I have been to several events here and there really isnt a bad seat in the house.
I love the cultural entertainment that the Alberta Bair provides. Their venue remains unmatched
Absolutely fantastic.....recommended for all to go see Shen Yun....
A wonderful evening of entertainment and music! The entire crowd was on their feet! Great evening!
Alberta Bair Theater has good Wi-Fi any one is in need of a Wi - Fi connection ☆☆☆☆☆.
Went to a show on December 14. Being somewhat hard of hearing, listening to the dialogue of the performers was nearly impossible. This has been a reoccurring theme for these type of performances. Asked an usher for a device which allows those hearing impaired to hear better. Her response was there is a lady running around here in a black fleece vest that might be able to help you. Ended up leaving at the intermission. Have little interest in attending another performance at the ABT.
A very nice, comfortable setting. I cant wait to see the renovations coming in May 2019.
Beautiful theater, good acoustics, friendly helpful staff. Only problem no elevator to balconies for less able persons.
Saw Jersey Boys, Wow what an incredible show. Looking forward to all the improvements on the horizon. Was really cool to see the $2.5 million check given to the theater from the Bair trust.
We attended the Shen Yun program, it was just ok, not as good as what I expected, too high priced for an average event.
Very nice theater, good acoustics and views of the stage, comfortable seats
Went to the Charlie Brown Christmas last evening with grandchildren and 2 daughters. Greatly enjoyed by all of us. My 1st time there would like to go back again for other productions. Not crazy like going to Metra more personal and friendly. Thank you!
We saw the nutcracker. It was a great performance and a great venue
Great performance. Sound system was a little weak for the Jersey Boys. It was hard to understand the dialogue. Even the music could have been stronger. Truthfully we were in the back of the balcony. Maybe the sound was better on the main floor.
Great Community Gathering Place beautiful building
Excellent, people were very helpful and courteous.
Attended the Messiah Festival. Such a wonderful start to the Christmas celebrating Jesus Christ.
The theater is lovely; tonights experience was scary and sad. One of the founders of the group, Rascals, collapsed. The staff at Alberta Bair was wonderful.
This is one of the premier centers of art and culture in Montana. Theater, opera, and shows for all age groups are available year-rounds. They also provide excellent options for educational school field trips. Located next to a parking garage, and many restaurant and bar options.
Wonderful experience at Alberta Bair today with my fourth grade students. We really enjoyed My Fathers Dragon...great show!
Just a fantastic showplace...great staff, good venue to see many shows
We have been coming for the symphony. This theater has great ambiance and a rich history. The sound quality and seating are both great. We have become regular patrons.
Very nice theater. Great acoustics. Very helpful staff.
It is a exceptional theater. The presidential Marine band was fantastic!
Nice theatre, not the best selection of shows.
Nitty Gritty could not have been better. Great concert.
Nice venue for the performing arts.
Very elegant and great venue for concerts
Saw Straight No Chaser. Great venue
Beautiful and amazing. Jewel was very nice and personable.
Sound Of Music was fabulous.
Very good. Enjoyable from the moment we walked in.
Not a bad seat in the house.
Great venue for more personal shows
Saw Gobsmacked here, was incredible from the balcony. What a beautiful building!
Gorgeous theater! Friendly staff, screen above stage for captions/subtitles (though they rarely use them). Happy to attend any show there.
Superb concert by Oak Ridge Boys on Dec. 1st !!!
It was soooo hot in there. I know they have to shut the AC off for acoustics but it was ridiculous in the balcony. Also, why have they never staggered their seats? Its impossible to see around the people in front of you because everyone else has their heads pushed to one side straining for a view. I went to see Once and was so disappointed I only saw a fraction of the performance in those uncomfortable, non-staggered seats. The musical was amazing and they get amazing groups in all the time but they seriously need to update the theater.
Always a great place to see great performances
Great location and an exemplary performance of Mozarts The Magic Flute by the Nova performance center. would recommend for everyone to attend this theatre.
Got tickets to see The Nutcracker. The play was great as usual. This was the second time for my wife and I.
Elegant, clean, inviting location with many wonderful performances each year.
Very nice place that has some very nice talent coming to it.
Its just awesome with amazing seats and shows, oh and good bathrooms and food too.
Its a great community theater. Im so thankful to have something like this so close to where I live. They do a perfessional job.
Good time, but was sad that the microphone kept cutting out for the comedians.
Love it. Good prices, great selection of shows. Best in town.
Always enjoy going there!! Wish the AIR CONDITIONING worked better!!!
I love this theater and have attended many a show here and cant wait to see more.
Very nice staff and very inviting atmosphere!
We are so lucky to have such as great theater in our community!
The sounds and the artist was fantastic, Boz Scaggs.
Great venue and people.
The jerseys boys was awesome congratulations and thank you
Very good entertainment, possibly a new event every month or so.
Such a fun New Years Eve show 2016!
Had an enjoyable evening watching the little river band, but a bit disappointed about having to switch seats (seats I paid for) so an obnoxious inebriated lady could sit next to her friends.
Comfortable. Good cast. Caberet
Ive had nothing but wonderful experiences at Alberta Bair. Their volunteer staff clearly love the venue and everyone is so friendly. A pillar for the arts community in Billings.
Amazing pianist, orchestra, and evening!
Always great staff and great experience
Great shows of many different genres.
Great staff and great show
