I met the owner a few days back at the ski area. Had a great conversation and decided next time I was in Billings that Id give it a whirl.I wasnt disappointed! Great down home cafe with solid fare. As much as we enjoyed our lunch (patty melt and French dip), we quickly realized that breakfast is the star here. Watching amazing looking platters of chicken fried steak and B&G the decision was made that wed be back.Friendly service, quick, tasty food in a simple Cafe feel. Highly recommended.

We got stuck in Billings waiting for the RV repair shop to open on Monday morning, so we had no working vehicle, and needed food. The Muzzle Loader was open on Sunday and Monday, when we most needed it, and served us great breakfasts both days. Friendly service, bottomless cups of coffee, delicious breakfast meals. Highly recommend!

Great down home breakfast place feel, and awesome service

First time in a long time of going here the brown gravy was bad. However, total professionalism by manager as he asked for my input, adjusted bill, and would have got me a new plate of food if I wanted. Sometimes admitting you screwed up shows a better business than those who never even offer! 5 stars for doing the right thing and like I said food normally spot on, but rest knowing if its bad they will make it right!

Its a good little spot. I does seem very busy. The staff are friendly and caring. My waitress kept checking in on us even though it seemed pretty busy. My food was cook to my preference. Definitely would recommend.

Small menu but good food

I heard they had the best chickenfried steak. Sadly this is not true. It was thin some what burnt on bottom and bland. My first soda came in a dirty glass and kind of a gruff customer service experience with bartender. They do have good portions for the price that was the one upside.

I came here twice and it’s and hour for us to get our food! It’s always the same waitress that takes forever. When we have her she doesn’t wait on us. Any other time it’s good

The taco salad was decent, it needed more of the salad part and a little less meat. I would have added more salsa as well but the waitress never came back to the table.

Looking to try a new place for breakfast. The staff was friendly, but the food had an institutional flare. Think gravy from a bag for their biscuits and gravy and pre-breaded and warmed through meat patties for their chicken fried steak.

Would normally give this place 4 stars, best chicken fried steak Ive found anywhere! Waitress was really having a tough day. No coffee refills without flagging down another waitress, I honestly that she forgot to put in our order, an hour after we arrive we get our breakfast, stone cold. Chicken fried steak was still good. Hope the waitress had a better day, shes a nice lady.

When we visit the kids in Billings we usually go to breakfast here when we go home. Friendly atmosphere, good food and large portions which my wife and I split a breakfast and have more than enough. Id recommend it highly.

Not what it used to be, but it did the job. The hash browns were mushy and tasted like they were the frozen kind, not home made. I also asked for them crispy and they were barely brown. Waitress was impatient and then left my coffee cup empty for half of my meal

Interesting crowd at this bar. Ordered Crown and Coke for my drinks. First drink was not crown, but some low value whiskey. Thankfully my second drink was actual crown. The employees are very nice and the DJ was pretty awesome as well. Probably wont ever go back to be honest.

This place will remind you of a small town restaurant. Everyone in town knows that this is the place to go for good food at a fair price. They are fast too, I have never waited more than 5 or 10 min on my food, regardless of how busy it is. The muzz is known for their chicken fried steak breakfast, but they have good omelets too.

Plenty of food and the coffee was never below half cup. Would highly recommend stopping there.

Best chicken fried steak in Montana!

I have been coming here pretty much for ever! They are always busy (which is a good thing) so expect to wait a little bit. Food is always hot, good, and great proportions! No complaints in over twenty years...any time Ive had an issue they immediately rectified it!

Always good home town food. The coffee isnt good and never hot enough, especially on these chilly days. But, even in the summer I find it luke warm. But, the staff is a staple and the food fresh. I can count on my poached eggs being right!

Wrong meal came for my GF they blamed it on the cook. No matter we walked in to eat together, I brought it up to manager and no discount or anything. If you like eating at different times with your family and paying for it, guess its the place. I have had great service before there before this.

We come here about once every month. The food is about as good as you can get in Billings. The price is very reasonable and the food comes out of the kitchen at lightening speeds. For sure recommend coming here.
