Review №1

The 5,800-square-foot home, built in 1925 and redesigned by noted Hollywood Regency architect John Elgin Woolf, was once owned by the late stage and screen director Vincente Minnelli, who died in the house in 1986. In his will, he left his widow, Lee, lifetime use of the property, but also left Liza in charge of his estate. In 2000, Liza put it up for sale, offering to purchase a condo for her step-mother. The house sold in 2002, but Lee refused to go anywhere. At an impasse with her step-mother, Liza stopped paying electricity bills and everything else. An arrangement was reached with the new buyers allowing Liza to pay them rent so that Lee could stay at the house until her death. The house didnt close escrow until 2006, four years after the sale began. Lee passed away in 2009. Then, the house sat empty for nearly a decade.
