Very nice theater, parking is free and plentiful. Food and drinks available in the lobby - which I like, Im not so keen on in theater food service - distracting on many levels. The chairs in this theater are comfortable but not the reclining style. All in all, a very nice, clean, entertaining establishment. Nice touch - a projectionist personally greeted the audience indicating an interest in aiding or assisting should there be a need.
Nice bartender . Large theater screens, with basic stadium seating. They should have designed the layout to promote a restaurant addition because the theater lacked in-dinning or recliners - which goes as standard for movie go-er these days. Drinks at the bar can go in the theater.. and the bartender Michael was nice! Tip!
Arclight cinemas is in the Westfield Montgomery Mall. They have a bar and of course the regular cinema fare of popcorn and other junk food.Ideally you arrive at the theatre well in advance, you can eat at the dining terrace where the food choice is amazing. Go to the Arclight lounge to have a drink. They have a good choice of Craft beer including one of their own craft Arclight Blonde by Seven Locks brewing and Lot 3 IPA and Surrender Dorothy Rye.There are bottle holders in every seat. The best thing about Arclight is that before every show a human being appears and inspires the crowd to shut off their phones and enjoy the movie. Nice touch. Ill be back.
At 9:30 on a Saturday went to the movies with my friend to see birds of prey. I thought that I would have fun and buy some snacks to treat my self to as I usually don’t because of how expensive it was but I was feeling good. After buying such costly products I went to scan my tickets which I already bought online but this rude, overweight woman told me I needed id because the movie was rated R. Now this would be a not so aggravating event if it wasn’t for that I have seen dozens of rated R movies after buying a ticket online without a parent or guardian. After telling the woman this she said well I run on my own policy and after further arguments kicked us out, took our money, and most importantly my time. I have been going to this theater my whole life and this has never happened. I promise you I will never go here again and I hope she gets fired because that’s on my policy
1st class service. Its a movie theater with reserved and assigned seating, a bar, a restaurant, a gift shop and a museum...sorta. Customer service was above adequate but needs some work. The screens arent massive but more manageable without causing motion sickness. All in all it is an impressive movie theater and Ill go again. The movie i saw tonight was 1917
If youre going to see a movie youve been waiting decades to see, this is the place to do it. They also have chicken sausages and beer if youre into that. The seats are wildly comfortable.
We really enjoy seeing movies at Arclight....warm atmosphere, clean theatres, big screens, comfortable seats, friendly and helpful staff. If youre a member, you can enjoy free popcorn upgrades (small upgrade to large) and up to $5-10 credits each visit at the concession stand. Give it a try....
Great theater when you want to watch Dolby sound, IMAX, and 3D films. Seats are comfy and spacious not reclining tho. There is a nice wide open bar. Food and alcoholic beverages are fairly price. Giving them a star off for no refills on popcorn or sofa. Id rather go here than Ipic. Parking is easier and its a lot cheaper.
The lobby area is pretty well updated and seems to flow well but the theater we were in had old, dirty seats that were disgusting to sit in. They looked like they haven’t been vacuumed in a long time either. I had to wipe my seat off prior to sitting down. The volume in the theater was also ear piercing and at unsafe levels. I understand people like to be engaged in the movie but when you are permanently damaging your hearing, its not as enjoyable. The staff were very respectful and nice. We the projectionist come out and give a personal statement prior to the movie starting which felt like a nice old school touch.
Arclight is becoming my favorite MoCo theater. While the prices are a hair higher, the level of service elevates the experience. Movies are introduced by a person and only have 3 trailers. THANK GOD! The restrooms have always been clean and we have never had a problem with the staff. There is no traditional box office, so BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE BEFORE YOU GET THERE! The mall food court offers great meal choices for dinner, but the bar in the theater is GOOD, so grab a cocktail and enjoy your movie!
Its a nice theater but the seats are old. Also, the front section of seats are pretty much useless. Seats are assigned and their website was fairly user friendly. Enjoy!
Im used to AMC and Regal, so this place made them look like chumps lol! Price was a little higher, but it was very nice. It has a decent size bar and different food you could order from the bar then what was offered at concessions.
Comfortable seats. Good sound system. Clean bathroom. No complaints.
Best theater in the area. Shows a great mix of movies typed from blockbusters to wonderful small films. Perfect! A+
I was not pleased with the level of luxury for the cost of movie tickets compared to any other theaters in the area (DMV). The concession stand was over priced as well. I enjoyed the movie but that really didnt have anything to with the theater. My thought is, they should bring the price of the movie tickets & concession offerings down.
Very nice theater. Seats were roomy. Clean. Concessions a little slow but not bad.
My favorite theaters in LoMoCo. Always have some indie flicks + the usual blockbusters
Lots of parking. Beautuful lobby with interesting art work. Food and drink. Comfortable seats...really!!!
Staff always so friendly and helpful. One even helped me make sure my 99 year old Dad was okay getting to his seat.Popcorn okay.Bathrooms are the best...always very clean!
Very very kind staff, one if the cleanest movie theaters Ive been to, overall a good experience!
I love the assigned seating. Getting cocktails with the movie is an added bonus.
They really gotta work on their cleaning skills. The whole place was covered in popcorn, dirt, and dust. The theater itself smelled like a big ol’ fart- doesn’t pair the best with that movie theater wine.
Clean, not more pricey than other places in the area, but the food line takes forever, even when fully staffed and not overwhelmed by customers.
Costs more than Rockville, but with terrible chairs (Rockville’s recline) and a bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned in God knows when.Did see lots of employees though, so that’s good. Maybe put them to work?
I took my 5yr old son to see Spies in Disguise for the 2:45pm show on Jan 20th and the movie theater was filthy. Trash was every where, popcorn in seats and on the floor. After complaining to the manager they finally cleaned the theater and we were seated right at the start of the movie. Plus, at the price they charge, the seats are not the modern and updated recliner seats found at most theaters for this same price point. They only have one restroom with multiple urines and toilets. This place is over-rated and over priced.
The place was good. Its a pretty nice theater. But the tickets are kind of expensive. Im from Texas, so I guess prices are different. It was just more expensive than what Im use to. The customer service was good, not the most friendly but better than some.
Staff here is friendly and helpful. This is our regular theater and we have always had a good experience.
Get your pre-assigned tickets online and arrive early so you can sit at the bar and enjoy an adult beverage. Said beverage can be taken with you into the movie along with any candy or popcorn from the concession stand. The seats are comfortable and the screen and sound quality are what youd expect from a purpose built theater.
Very nice theatre, comfy seats, nice speaker system. But no recliner seats
Love this theater! The seats are comfortable (not too soft) and u can choose your seat in advance which I really like. Also, the screens are nice and the place was built recently so its big and clean and nice. Lots of bathroom stalls and they are clean and spacious.Customer service is very good. Their hot consession food is the only thing they can improve on. It is too salty and does not taste good. Their pre packaged foods are fine though.
This is a very nice theater! The seats are large and comfortable. Its a multiplex theater. The movie screen was a good size and the sound wss great. I saw Downton Abbey, which was very enjoyable.
Nice lounge area, clean restrooms, and great theater. Highly recommend Frozen 2!
This movie theater is very nice even though the seats dont recline the seats are still comfy. The theater is in a nice spot which is right inside the mall near the food court so if you want to grab a bit to eat prior to movie you have many options. The atmosphere is very nice.
Arclight used to be the creme de la creme of theaters. Key words, used to be. With $17.75 tickets, they are matching prices with IPic which is a 10min drive away. Unlike IPic, Arclight has not updated their old, fabric seats which do not recline. The only two things that Arclight has left over other theaters, is the number of showings they have, and their popcorn (which is the best of all the theaters in the area).
Very well operated. Offer hearing devices for folks with hearing issues.
This place is good. everything is very expensive and they are very strict about sneaking in through the back. although thats not from my experience, from a friends.
Normally a great experience. Bonus: assigned seats. Problem: our assigned seats had schmutz on them.
Great movie theatre. It doesnt matter what movie you watch here, youll have a good experience.
Very expensive theater. AMC Wheaton experience much better. Sound systems seating are not worth 17 bucks.
Was the best time I could have and ask for on my anniversary. We dont get out much but the staff was top notch. Its my favorite theater.
High quality screens and projection, lots of choices, but exceptionally dirty restrooms, and there were dirty footprints on the seats. The seats are average--no recline.
Me and my friends went to the movie theater to watch end game and they told us since we’re late they have to follow a policy by not letting us in the movie and wouldn’t give us a refund. After he gave us rain check tickets and told us to enjoy the movie.but we still couldn’t see the movie. And we were just talking to the managers. The most annoying thing to me was that we were the ones missing the movie so I. D.o.n.t know why they care. We were also only 10 minutes late.
The decor was different for a movie theater, felt me like a Broadway theater then movie theater.
Outrageously expensive. 2 senior citizen tickets $30 and seats don’t recline. What a rip off. And theaters wonder why people stay home and watch Netflix!
Great movie theater. I especially like picking my seat in advance. I walk with a cane. No pushing and shoving to get a good seat. Also they have a handicapped door entrance, which is rare. I come early always to get a cup of coffee and chill in their large lounge. They also have a bar. Great place!
I really enjoyed this movie theater the seats were very comfortable decor delightful. I enjoyed the popcorn it was very buttery and they did the thing where they put butter in between and then popcorn in the but on top perfect. I also like that the colonels seemed to have left the shells so I didnt get left with that feeling of popcorn kernels in my mouth. I will return again. The up charge for the ticket is a bit high but it is a more nuanced experience they have a bar.
Made my Husbands Fathers Day Special. Saw his favorite movie character Shaft on the big screen again. The theater was clean and the employees were professional as always.
Good movie theatre with a bar outside. It is right inside of the mall, so there is food all around it. They have good popcorn and show good movies.
Good theatre, comfortable seats, good movie selection.
It is good, good sound and excellent image, good service and a small bar but with a good atmosphere.
Contemporary style Movie Theater. Next to a Mall Food Court. Easy to get something to eat before or after a Movie.
Seems understaffed, long lines at concessions, the bar staff seemed super busy and couldn’t keep track of who was in line. The seats are disgusting... they r cloth and have these crusty white stains among the fact that the cloths is tearing and the padding is showing on some seats. It isn’t just one or two seats seems to be the majority of the seats in the cinema I was in had stains or were ripping.
I appreciate this theater for having late-night movie times. It also handled the Avengers End Game crowds really well. Despite the crowds, the staff was very friendly and the theaters were clean. There are 3D rooms and smaller rooms with stadium seating so you have options on seeing movies in different ways.
This is a great place to go and view a movie. The customer service is excellent!!!!
Great experience every time. Its always East to buy a ticket. Maybe a little wait for popcorn and drinks. The theater is always clean and in good condition. I also like that you pick your seats before the movie. Archlight has a nice, new style.
If there was zero stars I would rate them zero stars. They would not let us into the theater because of a “policy” that there were no late entries. ( we had already bought tickets) We were only 10 minutes late. We asked to speak to the manager to get our money back but they said they couldn’t. The manager said that the only thing he could do was give us rain check tickets or credit for another show. We said we wanted to get into the show because our schedule is full for the rest of the week. They would not let us into the show nor give us our money back. So we ended up getting the rain check tickets. When we were about to leave the manager said to us “enjoy your movie and next time don’t be late” Everyone that worked there was so rude, I highly recommend to not come here.
Love it. Most of all I love combination of movie and a bar. You can get usual appetizers an drinks, makes movie night more fun. Great seats too.
My go to movie theater. Reasonable prices and the staff doesnt look miserable like other theaters Ive been to. Seats could be better but its enough to get you through the movie. Have a beer. Eat some decent food. Relax. My kids and wife like going there and I havent had a bad experience yet
Great atmosphere with clean theaters and a decent food selection. The bartender was very friendly and recommended some great beers for our show, which was also a big plus!
A very good theater. Highlights include comfortable seating and a human introduction to many films. Also a pretty good selection of films which is not too junky. Downside is astronomical ticket prices.
Bartender Michael was horrendous. Waited 10 minutes with no acknowledgment or greeting. He was too busy chatting with regulars, also messed up one guys drink twice. I had to ask him if I could get service, he comes to me, to tell me he has to serve someone else first...when a glass of wine is the same price as the bottle this isn’t ok. He clearly couldn’t handle more than one customer at a time, would be better just serving popcorn. Walked away after waiting. Spend your money at iPic at Pike and Rose instead
Love the movies, food, and bar. I will say that the pricing is a bit much.
Regal and neighboring theaters are far better. For the price of this theater I’d expect at least good seats. Old theater style, most regal around the area have reclining big seats, and if you get a large drink it’s free refills. Can’t even do that here. Over priced, old, needs to be redone.
I was excited to see a movie at the Arclight. This was the first time I went and I wont be going back again. First it was very confusing to find the theater and the entrance. There wasnt much signage indicating where the theater was located and once you do get into the mall, its was located in an obscure area in the mall. When I arrived there was a desk near the entrance with a line so I thought this was a place you had to show your tickets or buy them. I waited in line for 10 minutes before the woman at the counter rudely said if anyone has tickets you can just go in. No one asked to see my tickets, so I could have just walked in without paying.
If you love sitting in a hot theater for 2 hours and spending tons of money on movie tickets ($17 standard movie ticket price) and food, this is the place for you. I’ve been here multiple times now and I’ve finally had to give it a review. The theater is so hot everyone complains and the staff do nothing about it. Parking is horrid too. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I understand this is not a 4D or a 5D Theater, but what’s with the poor quality sound & the seats ?Expensive for what it’s worth!
Good food for a movie theater and the prices were not that high. Very courteous staff. Great atmosphere for a movie.
Very nice theater with enough leg room for my long legs (Im 67 so thats saying something). I love how you can reserve seats online so you can roll in later and know you will have good seats.
Ticket prices are too high. Other theaters in the area have more comfortable seats. But, its okay.
Its a nice place to see a movie. They have food, all kinds of hard and soft drinks. The theaters are comfortable stadium seating.
Great location! Comfortable and easy check in system. A lot of people spending good time at the bar area before or after movie. The seats are old set up. Nothing special. On weekends was very booked.
Clean, friendly, and a well stocked bar. Self serve ticket kiosk was easy to use. Theater was clean and quiet, also appreciated that there were no ads before the movie. An employee came in and gave us the rundown on rules and then the projector went straight to preview trailers. Gave my friends and I a chance to enjoy quiet conversation before the movie.
My second visit, this time for 3 hr film so somfort counted.Nice, plush theatre experience but it is more expensive than the standard, full acceptable seating at $9-12.The Food concession was AWFUL. Dried out sausage on stale roll and they ran out of their watermelon relish - Ill never buy food from there again!
Seats dont recline and the snacks leave lots to be desired. I wish the experience was better.
Always enjoy this movie theater. Would like free refills on the overpriced popcorn. Its great to be able to bring drinks from the bar into the theatre.
Its expensive, but there are almost no bad seats and the actual movie experience is always good.
Arclight is one of the best theaters in the area and it has some tough competition with iPic and upgraded theaters elsewhere. I believe its the best theater for the price. The staff here is fantastic. I love that they talk to you prior in person and explain where the emergency exits are, etc. It feels like old times when service was far better and more personal. The seats are very comfortable, the screen quality is great, and the sound quality in the theaters is consistently excellent. Membership is well worth it. I get discounts on concessions almost every time I go.
The tickets were $17! Seats are comfortable but the theater is very dirty. The bathrooms were filthy!
Very nice, large movie theater. Well maintained and easy layout. Not sure how handicapped accessible it is as you take 2 escalators to get there. Big food service area and very open lobby. The seats are large recliners and are comfortable. Sound was good. Better than average experience here.
The service was absolutely terrible. They were rude, harassed us, and went out of their way to stalk us when we were waiting for our movie. This was really disappointing because I was just hoping for a good time, not to feel unsafe and unwanted.
Nice place to watch a movie and have a drink
ArcLight Cinemas have to be some of the top cinemas in the nation. I watched the Dolby version of A Star Is Born and I could hear wind during the parking lot scene that I didnt hear in another theater. Great sound, seats and projectors.
It’s not the best nor the worst theater I have ever been to. Not many extras like some of the other theaters have now, but they do usually add a personal touch to your experience. Add that with the bar and small bites, and usually minimal trailers, it’s a solid movie going experience.
Amazing movie experience exceptionaly clean seats and floors you can see the staff work very hard to keep it clean when people leave turned over buckets of popcorn on the floor, but when they are done you cannot even tell a mess was there. The people who check your tickets are also cheerful and kind. This is a very good theater for all!
Great staff, good large screens, nice bar + snack lobby. But seats need major refurbishing, at least in cinema 13.
Absolutely wonderful theater. The seats are very comfortable. Im so glad I chose this theater for my viewing of Endgame.
It is a great theater, reserved seats, booze is allowed in the theater! Popcorn and candy is not outrageously over priced and the rewards if you use the card are pretty damn good! The bar is always staffed with friendly people who make some ok drinks! This place is never really packed considering the location!
Great theater in mall, nice and clean and its always nice to be able to eat something in the mall before or after the movie if you dont want to be limited to the snacks they sell there.
Great location, Mezzanine level of the food court at the MontCo Westfield Mall. Wide seats. Awesome snacks, beer / wine if you desire more that soda drinks. Need a refill? Youll have to get up to get your own drinks /snacks though. No service Ninjas come to serve you at your seat as some might be used to.
Great theatre. Reserved seating, different sizes for screens, good concessions, clean, right next to fantastic food court also.
Awesome theater!! Very comfortable seats, great staff and clean theaters. Note: tickets are expensive at about $16. Make sure you get there super early as parking is rough. Be sure to order your tickets online a few hours beforehand to get the best seats.
Very spacious. Dine in accessible
Clean. Spacious. Nice staff.
I love this place, however, I think the chairs are less comfortable, if you want a more comfortable experience then visit Regal Cinema 13 or AMC Rio which are both near options. However, it is very convenient that its above a food court, if youre hungry before or after a movie, theres a good food court with places like Cava, Chick-fil-A, Jamba Juice and a lot more. So if I were to paraphrase, if you want a more comfortable experience, visit Rio or amc, if you want a place where you can enjoy things like food and stores nearby, visit this theatre.
