I love this place. I went to one, and they were out of the product I needed, so the people there helped us and told us what other locations had the specific item. 10/10 customer service. I love plaza art!
Store shelves were picked over, with critical items not replenished
There are several Plaza Art stores in the region, but this one is my favorite. I feel the staff here are the most knowledgeable and interested in connecting with their customers; i.e., like the in-store visit with a watercolor expert from Daniel Smith last year.Surprising depth to the products being offered here (the store has two levels, so dont let the small upper level make you think that they dont have much space), and they always have customers scattered throughout the store.Highly recommended, and they get all of my local art supply business.
Great staff! Very welcoming and they went out of their way to find things for me.
Great store...Rockville store is bigger and has more to choose from than Bethesda or Silver Spring. Plaza Arts prices are pretty reasonable and competitive. And some of their sale items can be really big bargains. Always worth checking out.
Absolutely amazing. As soon as you walk in they ask if you need help. This is really the best place to shop for supplies. I love that they are less interested in selling you the most expensive item and more interested in what you actually will need. That kind of service is what makes me come back and I wish more stores had this kind of an attitude!
This is a very well stocked artist supply store with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. In addition to fine art materials of every sort, the store offers a gamut of craft kits and supplies. It also does custom framing and sells framing supplies and mats. It has a small parking lot adjacent to the store on Old Georgetown Road.
Amazing experience every time I come. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, and you get amazing coupons if you sign up to be a member. The staff really help you purchase items at a reasonable price and give great artistic advice on materials and what items to get.
As soon as I walked in they asked if i needed help. I handed them my list and she happily led me around, selecting exactly what I needed. Being a student who is taking an art class for general education, I was very happy she also gave me recommendations. On the whole the store is fairly large and had everything I needed.
If you want to buy brushes this is the place. Great selection and good quality for the price.
Great staff, who were all very helpful. I went in intending to get custom framing done, but they were very up-front that it wouldnt be done by the time I needed it, and offered lower cost ready-made frames as an alternative. The frame looked great with my piece of artwork, and was also discounted off of its regular price, so they saved me quite a bit of money overall, and I have everything I need, the same day I walked in. I would definitely recommend patronizing this business.
Great staff, a great location and store layout, and I love how they carry supplies that are generally less common, but at a great quality.
Best service ever! Eds the greatest!
Lots of supplies. Helpful staff. Got myself some sketchpads for ink and pencil.
Excellent service, great advice on product choice and use, and always friendly! Much better to get your supplies here than a big-box store.
Great art store with friendly and helpful staff. Sign up for their rewards program and they email you all kinds of coupons. Definitely one of those places where I always buy more than I came in for haha.
Whoever does the hiring for Plaza Artist stores is killing it: The staff is aces. Theyre a bunch of friendly, knowledgeable folks who are keen to help you find just what youre looking for and have all kinds of tips and tricks for making the most out of your purchases. And theyre really nice too. The other night I was there until a whisker shy of closing time and Jordan and his coworker did a search on the floor for a $3 item that their system said they had and couldnt find. They ended up calling the Rockville store for me to arrange a hold-- for two Micron pens that I wanted in a particular tip size. Im sure they were ready to go home and put their feet up (and seriously, were talking about $6 worth of product) but they still did their level best to help me out and made me feel like a valued customer. And apparently students get a discount so ditto what another reviewer said-- shop HERE. Or another location.(And for what its worth, the folks at Rockville are pretty awesome too!)
Very helpful staff, good collection of supplies.
Art students -- stop buying crap at Michaels.... this place is legitimately awesome and has a large selection of high quality stuff. Highly recommend!
