Cought one of the mechanics just as he was leaving. Be was amazing and opens the doors to let us aviation nuts take a look inside. My brother was up from houston bad had to see Ms america. The gentlemen spent time answering all our questions. Go check them out and donate to their cause to help keep these birds flying.
This place was super cool! They had all of these model airplanes and a Real beautiful B-25 that has been restored to flying condition, the only reason I give 3 stars is because the guys in there acted like I was stupid. When I asked about a model B-29 he thought I said B-25 and he was like uhh that over there is a B-25 and pointed to the plane. Not a big deal but he just acted like I was totally stupid. Lol but whatever.
This is a great little place to visit! My husband and I enjoyed learning about airplanes and the history behind them. One of the guys kindly guided us around the airplanes and told us a lot about them. We enjoyed this little museum.
Great place to take kids to learn some history, see and touch some real airplanes and see how they are built and maintained.
Very friendly, pleasant place to see active aircraft and some restorations.
My wife and I stopped by the museum Saturday Aug 25th and thoroughly enjoyed the museum. We were immediately self introduced to a wonderfully, friendly, tall, thin, volunteer (with regret, his name escapes me) who spent all of a half hour with us, explaining many details of the museum. I,m sure if we had more questions he would have stayed as long as we needed to be satisfied, probably until after closing. We enjoyed all the authentic uniforms and items of interest gathered together,, along with the amazing ability to walk right up to several aircraft hangered there, for our pleasure. We highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in our military aviation history.
You get what you pay for- free. I would suggest the museum owner’s family not sit on couches and stare at guests the entire time- it made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Overall, this place was unfriendly, unhelpful, and unorganized. Museum staff made no effort to provide me a rundown of the hanger and aircraft. But they were quick to provide the family behind me a seemingly VIP tour. My presence was never acknowledged.
Friendly guys here with lots of history to learn about. They have a small area with artifacts and a hangar in the back with several planes to check out.
Amazing made me feel like a kid.
We tried to visit the museum today and met great disappointment - they were closed even though their website, Google, and Facebook page said that they were open. The sign on their door said that they were only closed for the holidays. When we inquired at the flight shop, the lady there said that the museum was “unpredictable.” I have worked as a volunteer at a museum in Arizona. We were volunteers, and we still managed to update times correctly on social media.Updated review in response to the snarky reply from the “museum”: Rudeness on the internet doesn’t pay, especially when getting snotty with someone in travel writing. The ”museum” has advised that we message on Facebook to make sure that they have the “museum” open during the hours they claim on all social media and on their own door. If they are this out of touch with reason and reality, this is easily a place not bothering with. They aren’t open anyway. Too busy trolling. They earned a distinction for being the only volunteer museum so far in my travels that runs so sloppily and maintains poor public relations.
Very nice very quite you can get right up next to the aircraft free admission just leave a donationYou can see current restoration projects they have going on which is really cooljust a FYI if you have kids there is not a gift shop
