We visited the ice rink and were really impressed. Its a really nice setup. Skating is a bargain at $5 with skate rental. You can also enjoy a movie on the outdoor big screen and grab a snack and beverage while you are here.

Outdoor movie night. It was really nice out so this was perfect. The movie started a little later than advertised, only an issue with little ones and bedtimes. I wish the street lights in the area where the movie was playing could be turned off to help see the movie better. Otherwise keep it up.

My kids love playing here! I love the long ours its open so we can go after dinner when its still dang hot out. Its simple, no bells and whistles but sometimes thats all you need! Bring a cup or bucket to collect water!Only reason theres 4 and not 5 stars is because I HATE that 21c/Crystal Bridges traffic walk right through the splash pad. Its just weird to see these people all dressed nice walking through the splash pad and watching my kids. Wish theyd go around.

When we aren’t in the middle of a pandemic this is one of our favorites places to take the kids. In the summer it’s a splash pad (not currently, though, because of corona virus) and in the winter it’s an ice rink.

This place is really cool. Its a nice outdoor ice skating rink during the winter and a kids slash pad during the summer. Great place to bring your kids. Unfortunately during the spring and fall it is just a concrete slab, but in the winter and summer I would recommend it.

The summer time splash thing is such a cool idea and kids love it! great place to take your kids for a treat and just hang out. I thought it looked like such fun but was not dressed accordingly, unfortunately. The Art Trail that starts right close to here and goes to the Crystal Bridges is stunning and well worth your time as well. But what isn’t cool in downtown Bentonville, right?!

A good place to take young kids to cool off, when the wind blows you even feel a little cool. Plenty of benches and other seating for adults to watch the kids while they play or some go in with the very young. My grandson who is seven at the time of this review, was disappointed that they didnt have the bucket dump like some splash parks do.

Took my 5 year old and 8 month old and we all (myself included) got soaked and loved it! They’ve got a bathroom conveniently located on site (bring a change of clothes and towels (I’d suggest extras for your seats as well). They also sell snow cones which is a perfect summer treat that compliments splashing around! Can’t wait to try ice skating with my boys this winter ️ when they freeze it over! We did miss out on the Movies bc it was too late for my kiddos, but I understand that it can’t be bright outside when they have it so once bedtime is later we’re definitely checking this out too! I would say I wish they had more tables/benches—last time we went we only saw three and I also wish there was a way to reserve for birthday parties. Overall a great time and my kids & I love it!

I liked it on chilly days, fall, winter, and spring, for its places to sit put of the wind. The water fountain works. On the bike/walking path through downtown Bentonville, with a botanical garden walk to the north, and a great kid-friendly museum beyond that. Its two/three blocks from Bentonville Square.

Love Lawrence Plaza in both summer and winter! The splash pad is a great place to take young kiddos on a hot day; the ice skating rink is more for older kids and adults. The family pass is only $50. Good things! Fun and enjoyable place to meet with friends! Its a great idea for a seasonal activity!!! Over all, the staff is very, very friendly and fantastic!Cons: The music is typically too loud, and mostly just down-right offensive. Good, old-fashioned classical skating music would be amazing for creating a nostalgic, happy, feel-good atmosphere.Secondly, the tractor makes the ice bumpier. I think it needs to be driven slower??Thirdly, I hope in the future they will invest in more of the lace-up skates and have all skates sharpened more often in their free time.

Nice splash pad for kids in the Summer, small ice rink in the Winter. As long as you manage your kids, they shouldnt get hurt in the splash pad. If they start running around theyll end up slipping and/or bump into other kids running around. My kids are lifeguards for the City of Bentonville, and theyve seen it all happen. When kids and parents dont follow their instructions, accidents happen. But dont worry, theyre there to assist with First Aid.Also, bicycles arent supposed to ride through the plaza, but they do anyway, especially on hot days. So you throw in moving cyclists and running kids and you get the idea. There are ice cream and shave ice vendors nearby, bathrooms (no showers), crêpes and pizza food trucks nearby as well.Park on the street, or in the lot by the Compton Gardens/Crystal Bridges entrance across the way.

Great place to cool down and have fun. Went on a Sunday and while there was quite a bit of people, it didnt feel over crowded. It was hot but there were places with shade and there was a slight breeze and the humidity was low. The splash pad is pretty large and the area is nice. The bathrooms are not the greatest, They are hot and dirty and filled with flies, but thats understandable as they are basically outside and there are hundreds of wet kids running in and out of them. That is the only reason for giving it 4 stars. We will definitely be taking the family back.

[*Edited Review] [*Rating for Ice Rink only]I’d like to give a higher rating but I rated it 1star for a long time. The things I listed in the first review are still valid to an extent. But much has been improved. The attendants are very nice, (still have to go up the chain for changes, but that can be expected)The atmosphere is bearable on most occasions now.The skates are cheap, they have other models (limited supply of lace ups) that are better (I don’t skate unless I can use those) and don’t cause as bad pain. They do sharpen skates which is a big improvement and does help. They’ll even sharpen personal ones, just realize they have a tax budget and they’re not samurais. We actually enjoy skating now!

The splash pad is a summer staple. The fountains are on a loop, so you never know what formation/height they will be at. Mid-day has little shade until approx 3pm. If you go at night you dont have to worry about sunscreen, and the fountains light up in pretty colors.

Check online and call before leaving as the schedule for both the splash park and ice rinks are seasonal and change quite frequently due to weather and attendance. Nice small splash park to visit with young children during the summer in the mornings or early evenings. During the summer they have movie nights using an inflatable outdoor movie screen and they usually show childrens movies. During the month of December, if the weather cooperates, they will maintain an ice rink with skate rentals.

They need more seating areas. Its nice for free to cool off when youre out and about. Its not very cold water though leading me to believe its all dirty and recycled. But, when youre 3 or 5 you dont Care. I would love to see another area like this in the city and maybe make it more visually appealing with all the kitchy art thats downtown now. Adults and teens like this sort of thing too and its almost frowned upon to let your teens in. I have a special needs adult child and he loves it but I never feel like its ok. I wish there was something stating more obviously this is a park for everyone, Not just a place for smaller children. We are all kids at heart.
