Finding the parking spot is a little tricky (its on the right hand side of the road just passed the stairway down) and there isnt much parking. That said, the path down ends at a train track. Theres a little beach down to the left and another little beach down to the right. Theyre both quite small but delightful. Definitely a nice spot to go when there arent a lot of people. Bear in mind, its steep going down and a bit of a workout coming back up. Enjoy!

This place is so wonderful for hikes and good views. Love the trails and the view of the water at the bottom. So much fun for a nice walk and look out at the water, possibly even a swim in the Summer. Great for kids that need to get their energy out, or for some friends that wanna go hammock camping. So great for photography as well if youd like! Just prepare yourself for the climb back up, it can be a little tiring.

Great little hidden spot. Super quiet with a beautiful view. Its an amazing place to watch the sunset. It can be tricky to find as there are no markers for it on the street so definitely keep maps pulled up so you know where to park. The walk down is steep so bring good shoes and be careful if its wet. I would highly recommend anyone check this out if youre around that area

After you go down the 1/4 mile trail of switchbacks and cross railroad tracks you come to a small beach split in two by a rock formation. Unfortunately it appears high school kids graffitied the rocks. The view is lovely but the beach had garbage on it and looks like its a party spot. I sure was annoyed climbing up that grueling trail on a hot summer day.

Small parking lot with no signs posted and only able to accommodate a handful of hikers, although theres additional parking at several connecting trailheads nearby such as interurban and North Chunkanut Mt.Trail was very maintained, several other trails leading down and pretty steep as well. Once reaching the bottom, youll come towards the tracks of the railroad and you have to cross them to access the beach.Larabee state park posted signs to not cross the train tracks and the injuries have occurred in past due to oncoming trains. Just be careful and keep your eyes on the tracks, listen dummy!Several paths leading different direction and different sheltered coves, both have sand and large rocks. Quick little cute walk and definitely will come back on a sunny day.

Beautiful short hike close to town. Its decently steep, but still totally doable for someone out of shape, however it is a little unsteady at some spots. It gets a little confusing when you hit the railroad tracks where youre supposed to go, bit veer to the right, and youll pick up the path again by the little beach.

This is one of my favorite beaches in Washington. Its a bit of a hike up and down. However its well worth the view. Its a very small Beach so its kind of secluded. Ive never really seen it be too busy. Theres a sunny and a Shady Side of the beach. Occasionally When the tide is out you can find all kinds of sea life like crabs, starfish, clams, and more. There are also some tidepools there that are really cool to look at. If youre looking for a quiet place to read or Draw I would highly suggest teddy bear Cove. Just be careful when crossing the train tracks to get there.

Cute little hike down to the beach. Very steep but not far, my husband who has knee issues had no problems. We came here hoping to see the purple starfish that are supposedly common here but we couldnt find them. We did see other sealife though, crabs and nearly microscopic animals. The coolest thing for me was seeing a train come by on the tracks that run along the beach.

Truly magical place. These scenic views never get old, and continuously amaze me year round. Would like to mention that in warmer temperatures especially, this is a fantastic spot to view marine life. Sea urchins, sea cucumbers, sea stars, crabs, and other various critters in the water easy to see.

Wow, fantastic view. Two tiny beaches with great views perfect for a quick picnic. Also a bluff/giant boulders for a raised view. A bit steep, but easily doable. My wife had a new hip only 6 most. ago, and she made it down and up. **Great magical experience seeing the bioluminescent life, like somebody tossed super sparkly glitter in the water along the beach!! Only there August & September, not quite sure on that point, but that is what I read. Like I said, MAGICAL!!**

Teddy Bear Cove is an iconic Bellingham area site.Once youve made your way down from the small pull-off on Chuckanut, and after a (relatively steep) hike, youll have to quickly cross the train tracks (theres a big fine if youre caught loitering!).At the water, youll have access to two beautiful rocky beaches with stunning sunset views. During Late August and Early September you can also stop by after the suns set for the bioluminescent light show in the water!Aand as a friendly reminder - please do your best to stay on the trail (to keep it in stable condition) and, as always, keep the forest and water litter free!

Small walking trail leads you to this scenic beach in only ten minutes! Definitely worth the detour if you have time on your journey. Camping is not allowed but there is a great elevated lookout point shaded by trees offering expensive views across the bay. Be aware you need to cross a single lane active railway track to access the beach, very safe though!

This is a small hike down the road and across the railway track to a secluded rocky beach. Great place for pets to chill out, but that means dogs are off leash a lot. Hence rating 4 stars. There is however a stairway just after crossing the railroad tracks, which gives great views of the sound. Parking on the side of the road is limited to about 10-12 cars, so might be a problem on crowded days.

Great place to view a sunset, and at low tide has lots of poos to explore. You will have to cross a railroad to get there, and I suggest parking at the Chuckanut Trail head and using the inter-urban trail to get there. Its not a long walk and the parking is a bit more secure. There is parking closer but its street parking and fills up.Its all well worth it for a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

This is one of our favorite hikes. It is an easy Trail for kids, even for a two year old. Such a pretty beach and area to play! There are some great rock formations. There is either parking right up above the Cove or you can park at the first Trailhead on Chuckanut drive. If you park at the first Trailhead it is a mile walk to the cove. Make sure to bring your sunscreen and suits this summer and maybe some food to cook out with as they have the perfect area up on the rock formations for a picnic! Cheers!
