I’ve driven all around America, seen lots of things. This is one of my favorite places in the US. Beautiful, classic Puget Sound view. Tiny, low-key, locals-only community area to go walk along the water. If you come here please respect it and please don’t make a mess or make a bunch of noise. This is real Washington.
Just a small lil area you can chill or take a nice lil walk
Best place to relax by the water let your kids climb on the rocks let them explore little baby crabs. Walk your dog. Just overall a gem in Bellingham.
Good meditation spot. Lots of seaweed on beach. Nice balance of sand and rocks.
Extremely beautiful path. Something out of a ferry to ill or a movie . you must visit if you like green lush forest.
The view of the sunsets are wonderfulThe beach itself is beutiful if you like hunting for stones but I wouldnt recommend for a family on a picnic not as clean as I wish I was but its getting there keep carting out the garbage and it will become its potential...
This was a nice place to take the kids.. although walking the beach we found 3 dead seals!! I dont know what killed them but they stunk and were bloated.
Love this park. Its just too bad they had to remove the tree house years ago.
Great sunsets all in all great place if u want a beach like setting
A very nice rock beach with a lot to see. From graffiti art to the remnants of before all while accompanied by a gorgeous view. I personally prefer this location during low tide because you can walk much further along the shore with less difficulty. Walking further along the shoreline during high tide is a bit more difficult unless you either like getting your feet wet or climbing atop large rocks.
Great dog park as well
I wasnt their. But I have been their about 4 years ago ...hahahahahahah
We stopped for a short stroll after breakfast. The beach was nice. The gathering of people in the parking lot were kind of sketch.
Nice little park with good views
Pretty good park!
My dog loves the water...
Nice. Quite mostly.
There was a Asian fellow playing the trombone.
Pretty park
Great place to go for a walk and play with dogs.
Beautiful sunsets of the Bellingham Bay, you can see Lummi island from there
A very nice beach area. I dont know if they have a leash law there. Dogs were running around loose. No owner control. Otherwise, it would be a nice beach park. Please put your dogs on a leash. Thank you.
This is my happy place rain or shine!
Great place to take your dog, kids picnic or fish. Nice place !.
I love this beach you can walk for miles in the sand and find the leftover s of the sea in shell and long string alien seaweed pod, and watch other peoples dogs enjoy life and if you come early you can see the cutest rabbit. And on hot days find a niche in the rocks that is cool and breazy. From here the walk takes you to Bellingham latest park but I not going to tell you its a couple of miles along the sea.
Low key spot...not many people there even on a nice day
Beautiful views of Bellingham Bay and some of the San Juan Islands. Its a very small park and there is no play equipment or picnic areas. Small beach.
Very nice! Sunsets are stunning. Tucked away and romantic :) spot in beautiful Bellingham.
Just down the beach from the off-leash area. Parking and beach access
Very nice beach with a chill vibe and cool forts dot the beach were you can hang out,
Good place to watch the sunset in peace
My favorite little-known stop in Bellingham. Had my senior photos here years ago and fell in love with it. Magical.
Great beach to picnic
Lovely view, not a clear path along the water
Awesome place to enjoy Sunset
Nice little hidden jem
Love it here when the sum is out..it seems cleaner these days than when here previously..
Great little spot near downtown to get away from all the traffic and noise of the city, walk your dog, relax, and enjoy a beautiful view.
Has cool little forts up in trees but not a big beach
Amazing view. Love it here
There is always a good treasure to find on that beach! I leave gems and crystals for people to find!
If the tide is out, there might be more fun. Great spot for a sunset. Dont expect much at high tide.
Nice no-frills beach access. Typical Salish Sea beach - rocks, seaweed, warm water in the summer, trees to hang out in the shade.
Great, Bellingham has nice beaches and water access
Nice park with actual sand and pebble beach.
Awesome beach access and great views. You also catch the air traffic and some big boats coming into BCS. The one downside is the gravel parking lot which is riddled with massive potholes. Better experience if you walk in on the trail from other entrances.
Nice place good vibes nice people
It was a nice place to stop in for a bit. Very peaceful. Gravel parking lot.
Another of Bellinghams many fine parks, and probably the best beach in town. There are also walking and biking trails up the canyon and several parking lots serving the park.
Beautiful, soothing
Love to take the puppy and look for agates. Great free place to be in nice weather! Easiest to park closer to marina all the way west until u hit gravel parking lot. Or theres parking along side road near the technical school. Nice people (locals) and a long beach that you can spend hours on a nice beach walk.....check the tides some areas farther up can impact your walk at high tide.
Great place but pay parking
Lol rainy today! Haha
Our favorite little beach to visit.
Empty when its raining, lots of room to run. Watch out for the slick rocks and barnacles. Beautiful.
Usually uncrowded, quiet place to walk the beach and get some time with the waves and nature. Just dont swim here...the water is for scenery. Not interaction.
Our favorite water front park.
Enjoyed a peaceful hour here with the dogs. Very pretty.
In Anchorage, alaska, I have Mt. Susitna -the great Sleeping Lady, to watch the sun slowly set over....and here in Bellingham (of all places!) I found this park. Squalicum Beach Park boasts nearly the same view -if you look at the mountains directly across from the parking area, you may notice that they look like the silhouette of a woman lying on her side, with her hair flowing.I couldnt believe it. Susitna has a sister and her name just may be Squalicum.
Best park to find crabbbbs
Relaxing and place to hide from hustle and bustle of life.
Nice secluded spot for some fun or quiet time by the water.
Realax no stress
Oil of some sort floating on the water. Rainbow type glaze. It has good views. And you are told it is toxic water, do not fish.
Great place for family! Beautiful trail walk from the wood hood
Beautiful views of the ocean
Is an out-of-place Park that could use a little more I really dont like this park that much but hey if youre looking for a quick kiss on the neck with your boyfriend or girlfriend and be a good cozy little spot to hit
Beautiful view, shells aplenty to collect, great if you have dogs.
Small beach but nice for hunting sea glass and petrified wood, and some cool banded stones.
Quiet but o was disappointed that the dock was sealed off
Beautiful view, somewhat Sandy Beach. Can walk along to locust beach
Full of junkies and bums. Creepy !
Nice place
Beautiful secluded beach, space for dogs.
Could use a little work burt its a fun beach
Good Park
Beautiful sunsets here
Always beautiful and peaceful. To be alone or with friends.
Dog friendly. Raw ocean and beach. Its nature... couldnt be any less then 5 stars.
Beautiful and peaceful
The beach was peaceful and the sunset was awesome
Fun to take pictures.
