A second home to Whatcom County artists and residence. Stop in to see monthly shows that range from Recycled Art to showcasing local artists. Ask the helpful staff anything you need to know about the art scene or anything about downtown, Whatcom County, even the pacific Northwest. Dont forget to slip into the back to rummage through the Arts Thrift shop! You can find office, school, art supplies and more for pennies, donations are always welcome as well.
Allied arts is an art community in a gallery. Each monthly installation is some off the most inspirational, decoratiive and professional artist in what comes county, there is also a secret. Only for true artist its a thrift store Im the back but dont tell anyone. Lol
Great resource for those looking four local art, as well as for local artifacts looking for resources and community. Shows change regularly, always something new that catches my eye!
An unique little art, no more of a creations, gallery right downtown.Exhibits range from traditional art, to photography, to pieces created from odds and ends.I think the first time (several years ago) I stumbled across this gallery they were closed, but they had a creation in the window that resembled a car and trailer made out of items found in an average kitchen.I made a point to go by when they were opened and was able to view the entirety of what was on display....and also discovered they also had a art related thrift store in the very back.Needless to say I try to pay a visit every couple of weeks, the thrift store and the gallery. I am always surprised by what might be there. Prices in thrift store are always surprisedly low.The woman I tend to see there most visits is always pleasant.During my latest visit, I discovered they have a relationship with the Re Store, which donates some of their excess donations which are more appropriate for the thrift store. If you have a few extra minutes while downtown, pay the gallery and thrift store a visit.
Love to just look around in there reusable craft and art supplies.
Childrens art walk truly special
This is a great Non-profit organization that supports and empowers ALL of the Arts in Bellingham and Whatcom County. They have a gallery downtown Bellingham and do showings of the local artists every month. Also throuout the year are Large special events, one of which is the Annual Holiday Festival with over a 100 of the local artists showcasing their work and having it available for sale.
