I had the pleasure of working with Elizabeth and her staff at Vasa Park Resort to plan a socially distanced corporate drive-in movie event for our employees during the COVID summer. Vasa Park was easy to work with and extremely responsive to my numerous emails and phone calls. I had many questions and concerns about safety and social distancing, and they answered/addressed every one of them. Their pricing was reasonable, and the facilities were clean and well-kept. The staff wore masks and were very skilled in queuing up the vehicles and arranging them so that the back-row vehicles could tailgate. The 30-foot screen was awesome and easily viewable by all 50 vehicles at the event. Sound quality was great, since it was broadcast over an FM station directly to individual car radios. An example of their flexibility was when we requested the ability to tap into their sound system for a company presentation before the movie. They went out of their way to make it happen; they tested several options and ended up having to purchase an adapter to make things work…we weren’t charged for the adapter or their time! The venue even allowed us to distribute our own snack bags to our employees. Our guests supplemented the snack bags by purchasing other treats from Vasa Park’s concession stand, because it was hard to resist the variety of goodies that they offered! Vasa Park did a fantastic job with our event, right down to the smallest details…like decorating the staircase to the concession stand with themed balloons and streamers. The concession stand is currently located in the Event Center (it was a dance hall in the 1950-60s!), and I had the opportunity to appreciate the original wooden floors and elevated stage. I’m really looking forward to seeing the progress they make on the renovation of the Event Center. Five stars all the way!
We had a great night at Vasa Park Resort. This was my first experience watching a movie from our car. It was very nice! We ordered some pizza and hot dogs that were delivered to our car. The audio of the movie was played in our cars from a radio station, so we were able to listen to the movie with great quality! We watched Karate Kid, a movie from the 80, that never gets old! It was a good and safe experience specially on this Covid times. I recommend it for sure.
Private beach and playground accessible for a few bucks. Seems to stay a little less crowded than similar parks.A good setup that provides a little something to do at each age level. Areas are clearly separated by ropes and wood docks. Water slides and diving boards on a swim platform. Bring the sand toys and inflatable beach floats.A great location for corporate parties. Lots of space, plenty of tables, covered areas, open space, and beach.Staff varies, but is often far from friendly. It feels like your presence is an imposition to them. But you really only see them on your way in to pay. Lifeguards are present much of the day. Theyre attentive without being overly disruptive. A great balance.
Loved it. It is a nice place to go in the summer. There is plenty of shallow water for small kids and a cute dock slide and dive boards. There is also a play ground. We went on Labor Day and came early. There is plenty of space and parking but parking can be limited. Prices are good. Life guards are on duty until 6pm. Bathrooms are clean. The best bathrooms in a public place I have ever seen. Kid and family friendly. You can bring your grill and cook etc. The only thing I did not like was the ducks. The kids playing with the ducks and then they run over everything. Hoping there could be some rules posted about leaving Wild life alone and not feeding them. Excellent time! Officially my favorite place for summer and water fun. It is not handicapped friendly if in a manual wheelchair. Selective for a motorised one.
Had an event for my work, the park overall was fun, great for kids and family. But the service from staff starting off on the phone they were rude and unorganized. When we first arrived to the park staff were unwelcoming...I didn’t like the service for what I was paying. I will not go to Vasa park again which is a shame but not worth the effort. They’re nicer parts of the park and other better service. I usually don’t write reviews but I needed to write one for this place. That should say something.
Its right on Lake Sammamish and its neat liittle park! Lots of stuff for kids to do in the summer and it is easy to get to. Their RV sites will large Class A coaches as well!
The RV park has a nice perch along the side Lake Snohomish. There is a public swimming area and a number of good running trails in the neighborhood hills overlooking the campground. The main downsides are that spots lack drainage for emptying your water tanks. They do have nice bathrooms on site, but they cost a quarter for 5 minutes of water, so bring some spare change.
My friends and I attented the Oct 10th showing of Coco. I dont usually leave negative reviews, and I have nothing but kind words to say about the people working the event, however the sound quality was so awful we had to leave. It sounded like it was being played underwater. The sound was so distorted that it was painful. Maybe this was a one-time issue, but if not I hope that you are planning to fix this before your next event because it was unbearable.
3 stars goes to the Recent renovation and clean bathrooms.. Otherwise be ready to pay Top Dollar RV accommodation rates for an incredibly rude staff That seems to completely ignore their own Covid-19 policy page that is listed on their website. Of the several interactions I had with various staff members not once did I see anyone wearing a mask much less even having one within viewing distance ....& Even Though the website says theyare equipped with mask and glovesperhaps they all just choose to keep them shoved in their pockets with no intention or effort whatsoever to put one on When coming face to face with their customers ?!?Still I Was considerate enough to wear one each time I came in contact with them( Even though I do not find wearing a mask enjoyable at all! )They didnt seem to think or care if They are un-knowingly passing Covid-19 on to someone else.( And even though they may respond to this review by saying they kept 6 distance, that is definitely not the case as they simply stand directly on the other side of the half open office door So theres maybe 3 ft distance between you at most...Or in my case they invite you into the office and then stand right there in front of you without a mask on And dont even make an effort to put one on or apologize for not wearing one In any event If you choose to support this business Id say have as little contact as possible with their staff or else be ready for the overwhelming dismissive attitude and possible risk to your health as that seems to be the price youll pay ( above and beyond the $$$ ) to use their RV facilities or just enjoy their pretty renovated bathrooms & waterfront access these days.
Thanks to Vasa Park we got to enjoy a much needed visit family from another state in a lovely spot right on Lake Sammamish and feel safe while socially distancing. It was a perfect solution to our delimma, since we could not have them stay in our home during the pandemic. It is clean and well run! The staff was very pleasant even when they had to remind d my grandson to put my granddog on his leash. :)
This is eventually going to be a COVID hot spot. The manager, I assume, handling all transactions does not wear a mask, ignored me when I asked her to and from 10 am to 3 pm Sunday August 16th, handled all transactions with all guests. Since the park does not enforce the mandated protection, neither do the people. Only one younger gal assisting with check ins had a mask on and was only handling the arm bands. The non refusing mask day handled all cash and interactions with the public. Hope she or anyone DO NOT get sick. The COVID-19 policies are not enforced just posted.
This review has to do specifically with our DRIVE IN movie experience. The park itself is lovely and enjoyable to be at. The drive in movie experience however, left a lot to be desired. We went for July 4th which was their grand opening of the drive in movie nights. To begin with, just entering the field was stress inducing. After organizing us nicely in the gravel lot, it was just a free for all to get to the field which naturally lead to people cutting in line to get a better spot. My husband had to be rather aggressive to not let other cars get in front of him.Once we got onto the field, we personally got a spot in the front but it seemed very disorganized behind us. There were large cars with open trunks placed in front of small cars and they also tried to put a car in front of the 1st row which means someone who came late got placed in front of people who had arrived early?? In addition, the screen was rather small compared to the number of cars they tried to fit around it.Despite all of this, I think the largest glaring issue with the whole evening was the complete lack of communication or signage about what was expected. No one communicated where the concessions & bathrooms were located- which was not intuitive. & the biggest issue of all- NO ONE communicated how to get the sound for the movie!!! They started the movie at 9:30- we waited 20 min thinking they were having tech issues before we got out to find help. We couldn’t find any employees on the field so my husband walked to the barn and the employee said they forgot to tell everyone?? They said they would walk around and tell people but we didn’t see anyone doing that in our row nor did they restart the movie to allow people time to get sound. We tried to go to the right radio station but it was playing music. We tried to find the right one for a few min & even asked again to double check but at that point we decided that this hassle was no longer worth it and left. We were not the first people to leave either. There were probably at least 10 cars (out of the 40 or 50ish that were there) before us that had also left which really says something.Overall, not a great experience for our 4th of July, especially for the steep cost of admission! The park itself is beautiful and we plan to continue enjoying that but there are some major kinks that need to be worked out with the drive in movie event.
Always great for a swim at a place with a swim platform and slides or a company picnic. Nice campsites for RVs.
Friendly management and beautiful facilities. Campsites are much bigger now than before which is very appreciated.
Really clean park with lifeguards and a nice playground. Parking is free, but it does cost to enter but its worth it!
Awesome park and great staff...my family loves this place.
This is a nice place to spend a summer day on lake Sammamish. Our company had its summer picinic here and it was relaxed and pretty quiet. You can pay to enter, 4.50 per person and even get overnight reservations for RVs. Its not camping, its not quite a park but has a beach, life guards and a water slide. Enjoyed it!
Close, safe camping. You cant beat lake front camping!! Facilities clean. Lots of activities.
Hidden, old school gem. We live on the lake and able to launch our boat for $12 when public parks were closed.
Nice place, very clean multiple choices... No dogs I thought!
Nice setup but too crowded especially in times of COVID-19
Beautiful very well kept place.
Very well maintained spot, nice picnic area, good for group picnic spots
Amazing place. Ppl
Great place for a quick getaway close to home.
Superb view of the mountains of Issaquah great location for sunrise and swimming
Enjoying my first week in Washington and came to this park for a camp event. The girl at the concession stand (Alexa ️) was so kind and funny during our interaction, she really made this experience worthwhile. This is a beautiful park with a great view of lake Sammamish and tons of fun activities to do. Definitely coming back for a summer swim.
For what it is (actual park) with a built in camp ground it is really a good old fashioned American good time. Fun for all ages, lifeguard on duty during peak times with water slides and diving boards, and bbqs, slides and swings etc at the playground, it was only my first time bringing the family out there but it absolutely will not be the last. Also a snack bar and great fishing, and camping rates are very reasonable. Loved this place. Good job guys.
Location, location, location! Two sides to the RV portion - one is full hook up, 30amp, the other is 20amp partial hook up. Gravel sites with picnic tables, but no fire pit or BBQ. Small laundry. Very convenient to Bellevue and I90. Little to no TV reception. Popular boat launch. We loved it!
We have come here the past few years for my husbands company picnic. The staff is always incredible, the place is always clean, and we always have a lot of fun. It’s a great location. The surrounding area is beautiful.
Nice lake and good for swimming.
Nice park I guess, the view is the best part about it. However, the entry fee is $5 and you cant even enter to pick someone up without paying the fee: theyre extremely aggressive with it. Other than that they do have a fair assortment of facilities and items, making the aggressive fee almost worthwhile.
Pay to get in but in these times youll find less people here than public beach
Nice place. Plenty of covered seating. 3 volleyball courts. Looks like 19 hookup sites with 7 or so with sewer. Fairly tight spots. Great place for large gathering.
Light bulbs out, had to pay housekeeping fees but were asked to clean our own rooms
Nice And fun place
Its really fun place with access to water and a trampoline. Ive only been there for corporate events but as far as I know they are also open to the public.
I had fun being a service to others. Even though they knew they were cutting my throat and taking much needed income away from an lady that almost died twice. Nice company Prime
This park is very well setup for groups and events. Lots of space, swimming spot with 2 slides into the water, picnic tables, camping spot available. I enjoy it Everytime I go there!
Area for picnicking, swimming area and si on. All in all an ok park
Best place for kids
Very nice HUGE open park On the Lake Sammamish waterfront. Lots of walking trails and interesting things to do at this park. Picnic areas along with covered areas you may reserve for a family fun night or a corporate event up to a few hundred people. Fantastic parking for a couple of hundred cars right across the street.
Decent park for company parties. It can get crowded though.
Nice park has numerous RV spots swim area sand Volleyball covered shelters kids play area fenced-in parking across the street
This place can get packed but they have a good selection of amenities
The place is kept clean and neat. Over all a very nice place to spend a night or 2.
I enjoyed the option of having a slide at a lake and the safety rules. Playground is great for all ages.
A good place to park your home away from home while visiting Seattle and the surrounding area. Close to all amenities.
This place has everything you need for a great office picnic. Plenty of room for games like frisbee or horseshoes, a playground and swimming area for the kids, and lots of picnic tables as well as a covered area for food.
Close to Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish and Renton. Even if youre from Seattle! Full RV and trailer camper hookups!Ample space for the kids and the kids at heart to roam and play.
Leaving today after a 10 day stay underscored by the Loud thumping base from today’s event. Not allowed to dump rv because today’s event set up food tent at the dump site. (No sewer hook up at most sites) not allowed to us air conditioning. Extremely close sites. Fire pits fill rv with smoke. Seem more concerned with events’ satisfaction than campers now. I can’t recommend it for camping. Unless you like the idea of camping at a circus that you can’t attend.
Its a hidden gem in the middle of Bellevue. They have camp sites you can rent. No dogs allowed though.
My kids absolutely love Vasa Park. Owners and staff are helpful and friendly. We have had 2 birthday parties there and everyone loves it. 5 stars without question. One downside is the all ducks in the little kids swim area. Not much can be done but I worry about health concerns.
Great place for large picnics. It also has acessible water front
Just went for the day with a summer camp. Not a bad facility. Nice clean bathrooms. Great swimming and play areas, nice people too. The changing rooms could use a good blowing out and the basketball hoop seemed to high, the rim was bent, and no net.
We came here expecting to receive a partial hook up. We might have, but the electric didnt seem to work with our system. We have a 30amp with a 15 amp adapter but it kept breaking the fuse. So we had to use our extension cord to pull in energy and sometimes that even tripped the fuse outside. The lady at the office was very rude to myself, my parents, and my friends all at different occasions. She said they state the electric amps on their website and said it was our own fault it didnt work even when others around us had mentioned they had difficulty with the electric as well. Also, I read over the website before reserving a spot. Never read anything besides that they have full and partial hook ups. Very tight spots and sitting basically right on top of one another. The park is gorgeous, but its ruined by the bad customer service. Apparently, she is also the owner... would never even think about staying here again. I feel more comfortable sitting in a walmart parking lot than I did here..
I love this park. We visit every year. Its clean. Parking is great. They have lifeguards on duty for the beach park. A slide.. its great. My family loves this park. There is an area for rv parking if you are looking for a summer vacation. They have nice bathrooms and a separate dressing room down by the water. There is a snack shack to get treats for the kids. Highly recommend it.
Nice place for company picnics. If youre not with a company event, its $5 for adults, $3 for kids.
Good place for enjoing and good place for dear kids
Awesome getaway for kids.Water sports, inflatables and good food. Enjoyed very much!!
Great for company picnics and okay gor pokemoning
We had a summer event here in 2017 and it turned out great. Also went here for fireworks on the 4th of July. Great place :)
Great place for a large outdoor event. Society of Port Engineers has their picnic there every year and it is a blast
We went for picnic in July 4th.While most other parks were busy with long lines of cars around them, we easily found parking and two picnic tables. You can do your own bbq with a portable grill of buy some bbq or other food from there. The park has activities for kids, access to the lake and kayak and even jet ski rentals (if Im not mistaking). On July 4th they asked everyone to leave at 8pm to prep for the fireworks show and they opened again at 9. The show started after 10.Its a good spot to watch fireworks across the lake, there was a local show but the fireworks across the lake stole the show.Oh there is a 4.50$ entrance fees per adult. There was no fee for the fireworks show, it was open to everyone.
Pretty nice area!I came here for a work get together and the venue was nice. Its a little old, but its kind of that vibe. Next to the park which is great too!
Everybody was really helpful, nice relaxing place to enjoy Fourth of July fireworks.
Cool park, but it stinks having to pay a fee. There are plenty of other parks that are free and Im not sure this one is that much better that its worth paying for like its some sort of amusement park.
Its a great place to bring your kids not a lot of exposure though because its not a big part but its very peaceful and beautiful not a place for everybody to come to because it is too small of a park
Did an outdoor company picnic there and it was a good venue. Kid friendly, parking easy, solid / average picnic shelter etc. Pretty salt of the earth (fine by me) but not for everyone & not posh or higher end in terms of food or amenities.
While the park itself was nice, the staff was extremely rude and pushy about leaving even 30 minutes before closing. While I can see some people were waiting until the last minute to pack up, our party was already packing and readying to leave when a very rude and pushy elderly woman on a golf cart, very condescendingly, told us we had to hurry up and leave and then come back later to see the fireworks show. That, in and of itself, was a very stupid and inefficient way to do things. Especially considering they charge people to get into the park ($4.50 per person). They should learn how to treat paying customers a lot better.
A good place to hold company picnic event. People there are very friendly.
Its beautiful all year round and clean friendly people
We enjoyed our stay at Vasa Park Resort. Especially since they have lots of activities around to do. Especially the swimming area which had a floating dock with slides, and a diving board.I work from home so signal is very important, we ended up with great cell signal in that area with AT&T. Also T-Mobile worked great as well.my only complaint is sometimes they host events at the park, this instance they had a party with loud music bumping for nearly 6 hours during the day. Called the office they said they couldnt do much about it... Said they would tell them to turn the bass Down. However when working from home, having that kind of loud music blasting during a conference call just wont work. Im hoping this is an isolated event.
Beautiful park ! Water is beautiful. Its clean and you can bring your water toys.
Great fun for the kids. Clean amenities
Nice park, great for buissness parties.
I personally love Vasa Park. As long as you bring your own toys like volleyball and frisbee, youre bound to have an awesome time! Swimming here is great, family friendly and there are lots of spots to settle down and enjoy your food. Speaking of which, super good to note that their snack shack is cash only. Kinda weird to be that way in these days, I usually pay by plastic or even phone now soooo theres that.
Had a great time at this place at one of the Microsoft picnics!
Vasa park is a great location to host company events or family picnics. The location contains kids friendly playgrounds and a beach with three lifeguards. The staff at the park are extremely knowledgeable as they host over 900 company events every summer.
Wonderful Place!
What a beautiful RV park, that’s surrounded around a beautiful lake. But the staffing completely ruined the experience, they are the most obnoxious people I have ever met. On several occasions I’ve tried to speak with management and I’ve been ignored. It’s seems like money is more on their mind then loyalty to their paying customers.
The property is well managed, and in very good to excellent condition for a park of its age. The hall/ball room flooring is being refinished. The park wont be open until March. You can call in April seasonal camping reservations. The park is currently closed to the public.
It was a pleasant locale, good scenery with wonderful access to the lake.
We visited for office party, I would say its not so great as a park. Water jets key was fun and awesome though :)
It has a nice little floating water slide and diving board, with many amenities, a playground, and undercover areas. Unsurprisingly, it costs money to enter.
Super fun! They have a merry-go-round and a water slide!!
They dont allow dogs! They charge groups for using the park, then each member of the group has to pay entrance fee. Fun dock with diving board and slides to the water. The beach is very Rocky and hurts the bare feet when wading out.
This place has more rules than North Korea.
We attend the VasaPark Crafts Show @ the big barn each year (the old roller rink ) Beautiful golden trees in autumn across from lovely Lake Sammamish. Nice crafts, gifts, antiques & jewelry
Nice venue for a big office picnic (about 800 people). Good mix of sunny and shady areas on a hot August day. Plenty of picnic tables. Great to have access to swimming and other water activities.
