Confusing puzzle room. We were all given characters and told to solve this murder. But most of the time was spent solving puzzles to open boxes and locks. Not a lot of story involved in trying to find this murderer. You just sort of get to the end and ... surprise. The murderer was bill... the bartender. Now go home

This was our first escape room. The four of us almost made it out! Despite not finding the treasure, we had an awesome time. Great for all ages and great for encouraging communication and working together as a team. Super fun!

We had a great first escape room experience here! The employee was friendly and helpful, giving us a couple hints when needed. We had a ton of fun even though we weren’t successful in solving the Western Adventure. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible

What a fun group activity! This really allowed our group to see new leadership roles of people within our office. Thanks for the fun evening cant wait to try the other room!

We went with our family and had a great time. My son and wife had never done an escape room before and are now hooked. The only thing I could say is when we asked for clues, it took the host a while to get answer us and we lost a little time waiting. Great fun though. Would still recommend this one.

My 13 year old wanted to do a puzzle room for her birthday party. We brought 8 kids (12 / 13 years old) and they did the Western room. They had a great time! The staff was patient with them and gave them clues when they needed help. They had so much fun they want to go back and try the second puzzle room there.

This was the first time we had done an escape room. The puzzles are challenging (well, they were for first-timers like us) and the rooms well set up. When we needed help, the hints were helpful without giving anything away. The only things I would say are negatives was that the rooms were very warm and that there were too many locks compared to other hidden things. It was definitely hotter than the 68 degrees the thermostat showed. Re: the locks - Ive seen videos of escape rooms where there are other items to open or figure out that arent focused only on locks. It would be great to see it move more in that direction.But - I would still recommend this place (we did the pirate room). We had fun (even if we did have to walk the plank at the end).

I had a great time with my family at The Cryptic Cube. Puzzles were not too difficult and everyone had something to do. we were constantly solving puzzles till the last minute. We filled up our full hour which made it worth the money we spend.

A great evening! The puzzles were suitably difficult, but a few challenging hints from the staff are available when you inevitably get stuck or off track.If it is warm be sure to dress cool - fans, but no AC.

This place was awesome! It is located in a very plain building and at first we were all questioning the legitimacy of the room. I am here to tell you it was awesome! It took four of us the entire 60 minutes and we still were one clue short to finish. It was a great first time experience. Our host was awesome and put us at ease about the experience. Try it, you will not be sorry. Make sure to bring your critical thinking skills along.

It was an entertaining escape room, but felt it was short and (won’t spoil it but) the end was not as good as we wished it was :/

A fun time exploring puzzles designed to stretch your mind. It felt like a real life RPG, or Myst experience. Totally worth the money! I would definitely do another escape room again. The staff were very helpful and patient. One of our party was late, but we were still able to do the room together.

Perfectly good escape room for the price- lots of types of locks and clues. Do-able within the time limit but not super obvious, which is good. Building is not the easiest thing to find, look carefully for signage. Our group had fun in the western room.

Had a great time playing the western room. Wasn’t too tricky or too easy for a first-timer.

A good time, but not the best Escape Room out there. The room was small and smelled weird, old.The guy working there didn’t smile once...he may have been overworked or just hated life. He didn’t explain the setting until 15 minutes into our time. He said that we asked too many clues compared to most people...we felt awkward.We will go to Gig Harbor Escape Room again, mich better.

I have been to many escape rooms but never one like this. The place is old and run down, unprofessional, and the room we did (pirate) was designed very strangely and the puzzles were trying to be too clever, making it very unenjoyable. Would recommend going to Quest Factor (Seattle and Redmond) or Time Escape (Seattle), the longer distance from me is definitely worth it!

I was lucky enough to try out both escape rooms from this location and they were both AMAZING! Super interesting puzzles and mysteries unique to each room, as well as a great group experience. If you are a fan of escape rooms you do not want to miss out on this one!

We had a GREAT time! Ive done a lot of rooms, and there were so many new surprises to the room it kept us jumping until the last 20 seconds! :)

We had a group of five do their pirate themed escape room and we had so much fun!! It was so exciting to find the newest clue for the next puzzle, as well as finding out how we functioned as a group.This was our first time ever doing an escape room and it was definitely newbie friendly.Its definitely an experience that encourages teamwork and thoughtful communication with one another and Id do it again. Half the fun is solving the puzzles; the other half is working alongside my group!

Took my family last week, and we all had an amazing time! Ive done 3 other escape rooms before, and the wild west themed room was about average difficulty. We finished a few minutes over time, and needed two clues. The ending put a smile on all our faces (no spoilers!) and they all asked me if we could come again for the other room.

Fantastic Escape Room! My friends and I had a great time solving the puzzles. The pirate theme was fun and straightforward, and the puzzles werent too hard, but were by no means easy. Its a truly unique type of experience that solving puzzles by yourself or a game at home just cant give you. The Cryptic Cube is a winner!

This escape room was fun because it had a story (albeit brief), fun theme (pirates!), and certainly puzzles and locks to figure out and solve.I left feeling very disappointed because a few of the puzzles were unclear. Like pieces in a good jigsaw puzzle, good brain teasers and physical puzzles should have a really nice fit to its solution letting the problem-solver know ah, this is it! The puzzles in this space were worn out; the props in the wall that should not have been pulled out had been loosened and/or pulled out. The vagueness of solutions or clunkiness of some of the puzzles was a real let down.As youre reading this youre probably saying, Well clearly this escape artist was disappointed because they didnt escape in time! We had just one clue left and the host let us solve it with an extra minute or two.

Great escape room!!! Lots of locks to open but many different types of puzzles and clues to get you there. Only 20% actually escape and the employee said hes never seen anyone escape without at least 1 hint. So definitely a challenge! We will definitely go back when the theme is changed!

Very good, not perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the Crypric Cube pirate room. We didnt succeed in the allotted 60min. They added 10min to our clock and we finished. We used 10-20 hints. The theme was good. The puzzles were diverse and the overall flow was good.Spoilers: the tentacle/5-10 clue needs to be fixed and tightened up. The rope/knot clue needs another knot.I would definitely do it again.

The room was good and the puzzles were engaging, but we could hear the people in the room next to us - they were shrieking and being quite disruptive.

A lot of fun. This was our first escape room experience and our family found it very challenging, and we didnt escape. But we sure laughed a lot and the challenges we DID succeed at gave us satisfaction.

I have done over 20 escape rooms and this was a really good puzzle heavy room! The puzzles went with the theme, but if you are going for the brainteasers this was an incredible experience and excellent customer service.

Took our adult kids there today (their first escape room). We had a great time and look forward to coming back to try the other room.

I had a great time with my friends at the new Cryptic Cube! I wasnt sure what to expect and was SO surprised at how fun it was! It took all of us working together to solve the different challenges and we did it! It was something different to do and I cant wait to do it again.

My first time in this kind of experience. It was worth it. Gets you out of your comfort zone. Accessible.
