Our experience with Seattle Boat Company has been great. We ordered our new R5-Surf from Elizabeth McPhail (who has been great!) at the Newport location, through their Fall Order Smart Program. This program gave us some significant discounts, and having ordered in the fall got us a winter build slot so the boat was ready to go early this spring. Since taking delivery of our boat this spring, our entire family has been using it a lot, and really enjoying it. So I’m a member of the Newport yacht basin which is essentially connected to the Seattle boat Company and one day my boat literally ran out of gas as I docked it at my slip the day before I went to go use it the next day knowing what had happened I went to Seattle boat Company and ask them if they out of the kindness of their heart would help me and they not only did they help me but they went over and beyond gave me a can go gas got me to the gas station and were so kind and professional about it I was blown away I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for boat service or boat sales!Thanks gals and guys!
This past weekend, we had the horrible flooding in he eastside area and my parents house on lake sammamish got the most water we had ever seen since they have lived there the past 6 years. We never take out boat off the lake it is always fine with a heater in it and up on the lift. But this year has been an exception. I cannot thank William, Brad and the Seattle Boat Co of bellevue enough. My parents boat and our neightbors boats got lifted off thier lifts and were thrashing against the canopys. I tried to anchor ours in open water and we tried to get ur neighbors secrued but no luck on either. I was calling around in a panic trying to find someone to help us get these two boats off the lake on friday, i called 4 places and finally in speaking to William who was so kind and really seemed to want to help us was able to make it happen. He an Brad waited an hour and a half down at the boat launch due to having to tow one of the two boats and then driving them back and getting them winterized and checked out. Me, my parents and our neighbors are so grateful for the amazing People (Willaim and Brad) at the Seattle Boat comapny for coming to our aid and being able to assit us in a very tough spot. I cannot reccomend them enough. Since they have picked up both boats, they keep in contact and informed us of the work they did and are recomending and that kind of communication and care is by far more than 5 stars in my book. If you need someone to help you with any boating need i would tell you to call these guys and you will not be disappointed. Amazing service top notch quality! Been taking my boat here every winter for service. Their knowledge and dedication is impressive. I’m writing this because something small happened, a zipper was broken during service and after getting my boat back I told them about it. I thought they forgot about it and it isn’t anything of a huge importance to me. But I went to check out my boat today and they fixed the zipper, and I wasn’t even gonna bring it up like I said I thought they forgot. Such an amazing attention to detail! Thank you

I Working with Seattle boat has been a wonderful experience, being docked there makes maintenance easy and convenient and the staff are all knowledgeable from the mechanics all the way to the fueling dock, no attitude just friendly knowledgeable service and a smile. William Sims has helped me with the service on my boat every since I purchased it last year. He has gone above and beyond. He took over and made sure all of my services were completed while I was unavailable. He has made the recommendations of what service I needed and never taken advantage of the fact I am a new boat owner and dont know much. I have not experienced this level of service in a very long time. He is an asset to the Newport location and has made me a customer for life.
This has to be the worse sales service I’ve ever dealt with never sent the email promised and would never return any phone calls and when asked to work with someone it was not allowed.
William in service went above and beyond for my family and me. Literally saved the day when we were stranded with a boat full of kids. OK. Ive never written a review before, but if you own a boat you need to know this team. I had a hard into to boat ownership with a mechanic that made all kind of promises, charged me for work, and then come to find out none of the work was done. I then stumbled upon Seattle boat and theyve been my go-to team for the past three years. Service is top notch, the work done is exceptional, and its always done on time. Additionally, when I visit the shop I always feel important, valued, and that Im dealing with reputable folks. DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE!! These folks are the real deal!! I promise youll be pleased.

As a follow-on to the post below, I received a call (Chris) from Seattle Boat Company a day later and they more than made this right.I am new to Washington and was looking to have my inboard/outboard oil changed. I called and was told the service was ~$130 labor plus parts. A Yamaha 115 oil change kit is $43.99 and $15 for the lower unit oil online so I was figuring ~$215 or so with tax. When I got the call to pick up my boat, I asked for a total and was told $315. I asked a few questions about the cost and then was informed that the oil change was the engine oil only and not the lower unit. The lower unit would be another $200 or so but they would do it for half the cost. So, instead of $225 or so it was now in the lower $500s. I asked to speak to the service manager and the experience just got better.He told me parts on the lake were higher and that the Seattle Boat Company was one of the highest repair sites on Lake Washington. He then asked if I wanted the lower unit done and I said no that I would do it myself. He said that my doing it myself was better and that he didnt feel like there was anything he could do to satisfy me. Perfect, so I didnt get what I thought that I was getting, paid an extra $100 in parts, and was told that it was better that I finish the work at home.I waited to post this note because I didnt want to react in hast. That said, whether a customer stays unhappy and shares their experience with friends, online, customer reviews etc. is completely at the discretion of the merchant or their employees.BTW - I changed the lower unit oil in 20 minutes or so by unscrewing two screws, draining the oil and pumping the new oil in. The Yamaha replacement oil was $15.
Last week our R5 had an issue and I could not get it started; it was having weird electronic issues (later deemed to be a faulty shifter - apparently the ‘brains’ of the Volvo system all run thru the shifter these days). My wife & I were at a gas dock on the lower Puget Sound 25 minutes from our beach home; it was 6:30PM. I have been boating my whole life and generally can sort things out. Not this time. So, after fiddling with it to no avail and with no better idea of what to do, I called Kenji (our salesman). When he answered I apologized for bothering him at the dinner hour and his reply was, “No worries, I figured if you were calling you needed something, how can I help you?” What a great customer first attitude! He told me a few things to try and nothing was working. He said he’d call Tommy (our Delivery Captain) to see if Tommy had any ideas. Tommy called and was extremely helpful but still nothing worked.So, we put the cover on our boat and had to Uber 45 minutes to get home. It was an uncomfortable feeling to leave our brand new lovely R5 there. Kenji and Tommy emailed Jesse (the Kent Service Center Manager) about the situation and assured me that the Kent Service guys would get right on it the next day. To my utter amazement (and relief), Jesse emailed at 8:40PM and said he and JP were just going to go get our boat THAT NIGHT. He said with July 4th looming (this all happened 7/1) he wanted to make sure he did everything he could to get us up and running for the weekend. At 12:29PM I got an email saying that our boat was secure back in the Kent Service Center and that they’d look into the issues the next day. The boat was fixed and ready to pick up the afternoon of 7/2, less that 20 hours after the breakdown. AMAZING!These guys all went way above and beyond, and my wife and I could not be more grateful and impressed.
Amazing service yet again! Got my boat winterized over the weekend and service was top notch from start to finish. This time I wasnt able to watch the work being done (like to learn from the experts) but know that my boat was in good hands. Greer, Adam, and Brad all helped me out and made sure I was on my way with a quick turnaround. Prices are reasonable but I also value the peace of mind in knowing all work was done right the 1st and that Im ready once boating season rolls around come spring. Ill be back for any future work needed. Thanks again for the great job!

Outstanding customer assistance beyond expectation! Last Thursday a wheel came off my boat trailer on the pull out lane at the SE 40th St boat ramp in Bellevue. Probably self inflicted wound from under torqued lug bolts, compounded by jack and wrench in car not working on trailer - poor planning. Call to friends - no answer. Seattle Boat Company is next to the ramp so I went over to see if I could borrow tools. The Service Manager, Greer, grabbed a jack and wrench and went back to the ramp with me where he proceeded to do most of the work to get the wheel back in place. When the bolts loosened a bit after just a short drive, he tightened them again and then followed me for a mile on his bike while I drove slowly to a nearby neighborhood!! I offered to pay shop time or whatever but he wouldnt accept anything. I couldnt thank him enough; talk about service well above and beyond expectations! Seattle Boat Company did a recent renovation and expansion creating a first-rate facility combined with great staff. Living nearby I hear a lot of positive feedback about both their sales and service from boating friends. I highly recommend them!

I live on the water and use the fuel dock at Seattle Boat all the time throughout the year to fill up the boat. Great location, great service, and welcoming staff that pretty much docks the boat for you. If your kids or buddies are ever hungry, also know that the fuel dock sells ice cream, chips, drinks, and other essentials for a day out on the lake. Make sure to stop by next time out on the water

I had stopped in to the Bellevue store looking for some parts for my parents old Cobalt and was greeted by the most respectful and friendly staff at the front desk. They proceeded to take down my information and asked a few questions in regards to my boat, so they could better assist the parts department in finding just what I was looking for and were able to fulfill my needs with parts right off the shelf! I am joyed and highly relieved to have found a new servicing center for this old thing!
Used the ramp a handful of times with a friend who is familiar with this company. Folks were helpful when we gassed up, gave us some fishing hints and got us on our way. Seem like a great team and when I buy my next boat I’m going to check in with them first.

I went in with a valid beef spoke with Joel and Tom about and Tom blew me away by simply saying, We are gonna see each other around these docks and I dont want to feel bad when we do. Im sorry for the misunderstanding and Im gonna go ahead and credit your full amount due.Totally exceeded my expectations and Im happy to say that they reearned by business with good old customer service.Shook hands like men and called it a day. Thanks Guys.Ive had several services done at Seattle Boat. I am a very generous reviewer most of the time and happily pay for quality when I receive value for my purchase. My problems with Seattle Boat started last year when I purchased a detail (very convenient because I dock my boat in Newport Yacht Basin) and I was told by the female receptionist to place the carpets in the boat as they would be included in the cleaning.When I came to look at the detail I didnt feel it was done particularly well and additionally the carpets werent cleaned at all. I brought this to Toms attention who told me they werent included and he would have a talk with her about making sure she stopped telling people that. Fine.I had a winterize and basic oil change done on my boat and was billed $1,200 dollars for this service it sounded high to me. I checked around and other places for the same service (including travel to my slip) would charge me $583 dollars for the same service. The labor rate at Seattle boat is double, but worse than that I felt that they padded their hours and additionally I felt that they charged 250% for parts that the other marinas do. Ill be taking my business elsewhere.
The team at Newport took excellent care of me. Brittany performed quick scheduling with regular communication. Adam is an expert marine engine analyst. He chased down a hard to identify misfire problem and cured it on the first try- without throwing money away thru a process of elimination. I couldnt be happier!

Just bought a 2018 VTX 20 from these folks yesterday. I doubt usually post anything negative or positive about any company, but felt like I had to give a review of my experience with James, Renn, and Elizabeth. I have never personally met any of these folks before yesterday, only communicating via email until my visit. It felt like I had known them for years when I walked into the Newport facility. I was treated like I was family and left feeling like I wouldnt have received a better deal anywhere else. They took the time to find out what the best fit would be for my family without regard to what they had in inventory and I am confident that I left securing the best boat for my kids and Me. When looking for in Malibu boat, I found what I wanted at Seattle boat company in Bellevue. Kenji helped me, and everything but mostly smooth up until I signed on the dotted line. After that everything went to hell. Couldnt get him to return phone calls or emails or text messages. Left messages with other people at the dealer and nobody gave any sort of service at all. Boat was missing parts and even three months later now cannot get him to respond to requests for the new parts. Kenji finally forwarded my email three weeks ago to the parts department but no response. I have followed up two times and nobody will respond to me. If you can find something you like somewhere else, I would encourage you to do business anywhere but here.

The team in Bellevue is incredible. Whether it be sales, operations, even the guys that put your boat in the water, their whole goal is to create a service environment where they create so much obligation that you never want to let your boat go, and you always want to keep coming back. Basically, whoever is running this company is very smart. And they do a lot of training. From the time I bought my boat from Elizabeth Bohling, its been nothing but under promising and over delivery. Then she turned me over to Brad Duncan and team, and they do all my service. Ive sent three people in over the past 2 years to buy boats at their Seattle and Bellevue locations. My only regret is that in Seattle we can only take it out 4 months a year.

Took my used but new to me 19ft openbow sterndrive mercruiser speedboat to Seattleboat Newport Shores because the bilge was filling up with more water than you wanted. Managed to pick one of the warmest days of the year and they were slammed but Greer the new manager and his team understood my urgency and squeezed me in at the end of the day. Adam one of the lead mechanics took care of me and allowed me to watch and learn while he worked. Prices are reasonable and you know you are getting top notch quality parts and service. Will be taking my boat back there for all future services. Couldnt have asked for a better experience.
