Fantastic museum showing the local industry.

Really neat little museum with a lot of interesting displays. Volunteers are knowledgeable and very friendly. We were there about three hours but it could easily be done in less time if you didnt look at everything as closely as we did lol.

Interesting place to visit if you are in town

Whether youve lived in Belleville your whole life or visiting for the first time, this small museum is worth a stop for an hour. In a very strong union city, the museum does a wonderful job of painting a picture and capturing employment in the Midwest over the past 200+ years, from ironing to electricity and everything in between. As of Summer 2014 the museum will be expanding to an additional adjacent building, so you can expect more great things to come. Be sure to also checkout the hours of operation on the museums website to plan your visit.

This is a hidden gem in Belleville. The staff their made the museum come alive with their stories. It is worth a visit.
