Im learning so much while continuing my journey of falling in love with rocks! Stone carving is a beautiful art form that deserves more attention and I believe Scott is doing an amazing job on his part. Plus its downright fun... I highly recommend this class!!!

I have been taking Scotts classes for six years and they are stellar. These arent formal classes where youre expected to sculpt a set of specific forms but he allows you to discover a dialog with the stone at your own pace so the ultimate form is your collaboration with the stone. Scott will provide you with the tools and clear advice as to how to use them and let you experiment by yourself whilst regularly checking in with you to see how youre progressing. He always provides sage advice to any questions and help if youre encountering a period where you feel stuck. The stone used is alabaster, which come in many colors. The studio is nice and climate controlled and the group of carvers is a great mix of people. Stone carving is a wonderful and exploratory process, particularly since its very tactile and in three dimensions. Its especially rewarding if you have a career which relies more upon linear logical thinking. Strongly recommended!
