Fun set up. Rainy day and all the shelters are fenced off. Good structure for young ones.

Small town park. Scenic for its location. Activities are nice.

Very clean and quiet. I will always have my events at the New River Park shelter.

This is a nice little park with a lot of different things to offer. Theres a playground, a small walking trail, tennis courts, a basketball court, and easy access to the paved Beckley trail.

It was amazing the view of the mountains and trees were incredible....

This is a nice city park for walking and general outdoor activity. Too bad pool is not open this year

Trash cans was overflowing, trash on the ground around them, it looked bad. Hopefully they have cleaned it up by now

During pool season this park is very busy, in the off season this area is still available but not as busy. Basketball and tennis courts. Several new jungle gym style spots. Picnic tables and walking/running path. There is a camper park on property and the exhibition coal mine is here as well. During the day there are many buildings and tours run all day. This is a very nice experience. The coal mine tour and the pool do cost money, but are within reason.

There are better parks, but I guess there are also worse parks.

Its nice place for a family to go. Beckley its got two parks they got the skating park to. I like Beckley they got things for kids to do.

My daughter likes the play areas. Pool is fun too.

Its a great place to unwind after a long day.. It just as good for adults as it is for kids.. My favorite thing about New River Park is the exercise trail.. You can walk the trail and its like your not in Beckley anymore.. Its peaceful,, you cant hear the noises of the city like traffic and honking horns.. Plenty of Nature is there if just look for it.. I recommend this place for anyone who lives in the City of Beckley to just get away and relax..

It would be a pretty good place to take your take your kids if you have kids

Well,Im almost certain its been 25 yrs or more since I last visited this park,and my memories are very fond! But Im now curious to know if its changed for the better or worse. I hope its not over-run with loud vulgar language and obnoxious obscenities (music etc.) thatll ruin my and others experience! I live in Maryland and have family in Beckley,whom I mostly visit during the spring and summer. Prayerfully all is well,as I plan to visit the park on my next vacation.

Great place to play Pickleball.

Loved the pool. well maintained. Life guards were nice, friendly and payer attention to all the kids and even joined in games.

I love this place! Theres fun for all at New River Park; they have a pool quite the sizeable park and. . . a FRIGGIN UNDERGROUND COAL MINE!!!!! And yes, you can tour the coal mine.

Kept up nicely. Very clean and landscaped.

Dangerous and dirty, do not be here when it starts to get dark.

New River Park is a great place to take your family. It is usually a quite place with little traffic.

Love the pool and it will keep the kids busy.

Its pretty good Park to take your kids to especially now that they have two new sections of playgrounds. The only problem is sometimes there will be troublemakers hanging around.
