Everything at the ymca is going down hill. Well at least in the aquatics department! I worked for the Ymca for two years and my first year was my best year until I was falsely accused of leaving the pool when I was guarding wich I wasnt. And I was just fired for some made up rumors. That they dint even get me a chance to say my side of things. And I was I good worker I worked like everyday, I took people shifts for people who did a no call no show, and I got along with most guards. But I am human and some days aren’t gonna be the best days. I feel like I was missed treated by the YMCA of dodge county. And this is not the first time they treated employment terrible. They fired one of our coordinators because they messed up on the budget and couldn’t afford to pay her. And then they turned around and fired are aquatics director wich did so much stuff for us and being back the coordinator that they couldn’t afford and brung in a new director who came from working at the front desk. I feel like I get missed treated at the YMCA anytime I make a mistake my job goes on the line unlike other who have been here for years but still don’t show up to shifts. I would not recommend the ymca to anyone well to at-least work in the aquatics. Everything else is really good and nice. But I still think I got fired unlawfully and I think I deserve a better investigation on this!

The pool facilities, and fitness area upstairs are the best. The infrared sauna rules. They open early and are open till mid evening. If you want to stay in shape or get into better health, start your membership today.

We are a family of 6 and there are a plethora of activities for each and every one of us! From basketball and soccer leagues, other kids’ classes, the child watch, the amazing family pool, and adult classes, we just love this place so much! Dirk and Jake are well organized and so personable. And Danielle’s Queenax class is my absolute fave!!

I specifically enjoy the Queenax class. When I leave this class I feel shredded but still have a smile on my face the rest of the day.

Lovely facility but we came for swim lessons which are terrible. Instructors seem to be late a lot & quit early. We pay for 25 minutes yet we never get that because they are late & quit early. Then they teach a group one on one so my daughter spent most of the evening sitting on the wall instead of swimming. Then they take them in the walking pool laying on a noodle with kids all hooked together. What are they learning? I spoke with several other mom’s who said each swim level (which is 7 classes) the instructor informed them they usually have to repeat an average of 3-4 times. They offer 13 different levels of classes & they move up as they get better. (Each class level runs 7 weeks) and they cost $44 for the 7 weeks. If a child went thru each class & moved up that would cost $572 in total. Because they get very little instruction it takes 3-4 times through each 7 week class to move up a level. So if it takes 3 times for each level that is $1,716 and if they need 4 classes at each level that is $2,288. No thank you - I will take my child somewhere we’re they actually teach the whole lesson & encourage them to only have to do each level once like most other places do. Maybe if they had better instructors they could accomplish this. Very disappointed I wasted my money here.

Not thrilled with my experience. The facility is beautiful and some of the staff are very helpful. Others - not so much. The hours of operation and what equipment and parts of the facility change based on the day in the week, time of year, etc., which can be frustrating if you dont have the schedule printed and in front of you. If you have children then I say YES, invest in the membership. Otherwise... really evaluate and look at your other area options.

The ages for the hot tub are 16+ age. Im 13, With permission from my mother I put MY FEET in the water. And for that I immediately, was yelled at. The lifegaurds are NOT kind. also, they have bins of flippers being unused. My brother and I put them on. And got yelled at. Those are only for our professional swimming league. And here Im thinking, why are the bins open. And why cant we wear them? Its open swim, there isnt any leagues here. I dont see the problem. Until these issues are resolved. I dont know if I can rate much better. Thanks.

Fitness classes are excellent, and my kids love the swimming lessons (and the swimming pools - the Family Adventure Pool is better than a water park!)
