I play golf twice a week and usually I play those rounds here. I really do like this course a lot. It has been making huge improvements over the last few years and you can see it slowly turning back into a really nice course.The course is nice to play on since there are nice houses around, which makes the scenery nice. But more importantly, the course is usually well maintained. When the grass is freshly mowed, and they always have mowers going when I am there, the fairways are nice; and, the greens have made huge improvements over the last two years.I always book my tee times for this course on Golf Now and it doesnt matter if I book a hot deal or a regular price round, they ALWAYS honor it and I have never had one single issue trying to play. Last time I booked through Golf Now, it rained and they gave me a rain check with no hassle at all. This is a huge deal for me too, since I play so much there while not living in the adjacent neighborhood.The young man behind the counter (he has long hair and as much as I play there, I have never gotten his name) is always very nice. He is always very respectful, helpful and seems to always be in a good mood. That makes playing here really nice too. It is always nice to deal with happy people.They have a young lady as a cart girl, that is always very pleasant as well.The one and only thing that keeps it from getting 5 stars from me is that I usually play once a week with my 11 year old daughter who picked up the game last year. We play there together for daddy daughter dates and we have a great time together. However, even with me, her 40 year old father in the cart with her, they will not let her drive the cart. I know this is minor in the grand scheme of things, but it matters to us and to her. She really enjoys that part of the round. And when I let her drive, it is always out on the course in the fairways or cart paths. Whenever we get close to the clubhouse or ditches, or other hazards, I always drive to ensure we respect the course and dont have any accidents. But even still, I have been told on two different occasions that she cannot drive. So that really stinks. I would understand if she was by herself, but I am sitting right next to her grabbing the wheel when needed. I see little kids on bikes and homeowner owned carts riding all over that course all the time. So I dont understand why it is an issue. But again, minor I suppose.Even still, this is my go to course and I will continue to play here weekly.

Nice quiet place to relax and just golf. The gentleman at the pro shop was very nice and it was just great hospitality all the way around.

Really nice course, the people that work there is fantastic, and its very clean including the restrooms. I would recommend to anyone wanting to get out and enjoy a day of golf

The golf course is beautiful but the secret to this place is the restaurant tucked away inside. Stumbled upon this place and Im glad I did. It was prime rib night and it was perfect. Im glad they had an extra piece for me. I have to come back when they have Sunday Funday by the pool.

Course is in great shape, greens have finally filled in pretty much. Need to put back water coolers and ball washers with fresh water.

An awesome event center for wedding parties and Engagement parties. I had my engagement party there they were affordable and very helpful to everything we needed highly recommend this place if you are looking for a venue to host a party

We brought the kids to the fall fair they hosted here.the place was gorgeous! I didnteven know this place existed.but theyhad so much fun! very cool of these people to do this. It looks like a really cool place normally too.

I like the layout of the course and the amenities. The greens are in terrible condition and they need to work on the mowers that cut the greens. On the greens that were cut they had numerous uneven waves like the greens keeper had no idea how to align the blades. I hope it gets better.

Very nice! We had a small wedding here during a torrential rainstorm. It was quiet, clean, comfortable and accomodating. Perfect. Well be back...

Brentwood country club is a good facility the staff is hospitable and the fairways and greens are outstanding.

Let me start this review by just saying wow.... This public course is hands down the best track in the area. As soon as you arrive in the pro shop you are greeted and taken care of by knowledgeable and sincere staff members. The course was in great shape for such a low and affordable rate! I was blown away by the sheer quality of the course and cant wait to get back and try to tackle their tricky yet fun signature #6 hole. Wish I could rate more than 5 stars!

Always a good round of golf here! Even without a T- time they still do all they can to work you in. Great food at the clubhouse also!

Typical bar food. Nothing fancy. Wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

Course is a goat farm, theres sand covering most greens and the fairways have clumps of grass all over them and uneven cuts. Worst golf course Ive seen in a long time. They should be ashamed to charge people to play here.

Very nice personnel and nice grill/bar. Owner of course is working on improving course. Greens at this time need to grow in more. Hazards on every hole with water and sand. Narrow fairways which means you have to be careful off the tee. Very affordable and challenging.

I attended my friends wedding at this venue and it was fantastic! At first I was weary when the two people running the wedding were two young men but I was blown away by their hard work and kindling passion for their craft. They made my friend the happiest bride on the planet. Would recommend to anyone looking to have a party/reception!

12 /2/17 They have recently been doing a lot of work to this golf course. The greens are in almost perfect condition for this area. Overall the best public course in Southeast Texas.

Mr Jerry W Humphrey and I played a great game two wteeks a go. And on the 13th hole.Mr Jerry W Humphrey made a great hole in one. Using a wedge at about 124 years. And I saw its before hed. A great hole in one day.

Greens are all dead grass, if any grass. Tee boxes are covered in sand and are terribly uneven. Some bunkers seem like they just had extra sand dumped in them, not raked or anything. The worst cart paths I have ever seen. You can hit your ball in the fairway and not be able to find it.Employee commented on not being able to make any money if there were cheaper rates but the money they do make is obviously not going into the course. It seems to be going into the nice addition that the owner is putting onto his house on the 10th hole.The only good part was a single course marshal who seemed to actually enjoy his job here. But other than that, dont waste your $30 here.

Not sure about the course, but I highly discourage anyone from booking a wedding with them! They have absolutely no clue what they are doing and constantly go back and forth with price!

Atrocious. Greens were 90% sand 10% dead grass. Fairways were overgrown and totally bumpy. Not ONE flat tee box. I felt like I got out of a boxing match from all of the bumps and potholes on the cart paths. I enjoyed playing with my partner, but would have enjoyed hitting my ball in the fairway off of the tee and being able find it! I would NEVER play here again.

Friendly staff greet you, a well designed golf course, excellent fairways and greens, functional driving range, nice swimming pool, modern clubhouse, friendly efficient staff in the quick food/beverage area. The name is in the process of being changed to Country Club of Texas.

The local pest control association used to host a tournament every year here. The course when it is maintained under normal weather conditions is excellent. A few holes are lined with houses so be careful if you have a wicked slice ;)

I have played every course in the area and this is by far the most challenging and fun layout. The staff has been wonderful in all my experiences and I cant wait to go back!

Good enough for the $. would not pay more and will try something else in the area next time. greens have so little grass even in the spring. fairways and cart path will beat you to death. i threw my playing partner into the cart roof on a bad spot. another course that cuts the grass but invests no money into the course. the club house and bar/food area seemed nice.

T Le obviously hasnt been to Brentwood in a long time. The atmosphere is incredible, maintenane and fairways are spetacular, and food is amazing. Like the last review states, the cart boys are angels and very helpful.

The staff is terrible. The members are arrogant, and rude and the staff does everything it can do to perpetuate this. This is a broken down, old wanna be, make believe country club, with full public play. The cart paths are a wreck, the fairways are terrible and the maintenance is being held together with glue and wires. They need to do a huge attitude adjustment, from top to bottom.

The golf trails are bad, and its very bumpy.
