Had the pleasure of playing this course several times with a member and it was one of the best buddies golf trip that one could have. Great staff, good food and the caddies we had were a blast to be with. Will never forget Secession!
5 star golf club that exceeds any other. Best place for a real experience that no other will match. No carts. Please tip your caddy. They know their stuff.
The best of the southeast in golf clubs.
This is my happy place. I like this better than Ireland. I like this better than any other course I have played. It has everything. A magnificent walk through the marshes, making it challenging and forgiving at the same time, and it has the best staff and caddies on the planet. Being a national club, you just never know you are going to meet when you arrive, but one thing is guaranteed, you will having spectacular food, superb customer service, and amazing fire side chats or porch chipping play offs to the 18th green. Make this happen. Become a member or become best friends with someone who is.
I work as a caddie at Secession Golf Club. Its been a great experience for me. Members and their guests seem to treat the caddies well. In my opinion, this is a special club that golfers of all levels can enjoy, and the scenery is spectacular! It is a great golf atmosphere and culture at Secession Golf Club. If you have the opportunity to play there, leave your troubles at home, and dont worry about how you play. Just relax, enjoy the company of your fellow golfers, and have some fun. That is the spirit of Secession Golf Club!
Great golf course.
Secession is a special place that provides an incredible experience for members and their guests alike.
What an amazing experience! Understand that you are going to pay $250 to $450 depending on tipping the caddie and time of year, but it is worth every penny. While many golfers do not want to pay $300 for a round of golf, Secession is a different experience. From the opening tee shot to the last putt, the views are amazing. It is similar to the Dataw Island Cotton Dike course in that you have several holes that play over marsh and water. You can cut off a significant amount of the fairway with a more aggressive tee shot. You absolutely, without a doubt, will lean on your caddie from the first hole until the last. Depending on your handicap, you will need to know just how much of a carry you will need to put the ball in the fairway. If you are a golfer that hits the ball all over the place out of the tee box, Secession is going to eat you alive. You must hit the ball in the fairway to have a chance to score on this course. Short and straight is much better than long and wrong at Secession. There are many great aspects of Secession but one of the best is the fact that each hole is named after a battle in the Civil War.Go play this course. You will never forget it.
The best!
The Garden of Eden.
Incredible
It does not get better than this from the moment you arrive
