This is the site of the seasonal festivals put on by the Beacon Sloop Club, starting with Strawberry Festival, and going through the year to Corn.Festival and Pumpkin Fest. Pete and Toshi were always there. His Sloop, the Clearwater docks just down the road when it is in Beacon. The other boat is the Woody, or the Woody Guthrie named after Petes friend. It is a Ferry Sloop. Beacon Sloop Club had her totally restored a few years ago. They work hard on keeping Petes dream of bringing people down to the River alive. If you know the River, you want to protect it like Pete did. They offer free sails week nights on the Woody as part of that tradition and will do so again when the pandemic subsides.
Lovely.. i .would recommend that n the beacon waterfront.Beacon Ferry. To newburgh and bannerman island
This is a great park for kids. A 1-4 year old playground and then 4-10 year old. Surrounded by water on three sides!
Strawberry Fest at Pete and Toshi Seeger Park was just perfect. The park is on a spit of land surrounded by the Hudson River on both sides. Lovely piece of property and a nice playground for the kids.Today the Beacon Sloop Club hosted Strawberry Fest - the best ever strawberry shortcake and strawberry smoothies. Shortcake baked on the premises, strawberries hulled and sliced by volunteers the night before. What a lot of work for an all volunteer group! There were activists tabling for a pleathera of causes, vendors selling all sorts of stuff and two stages of music. And dogs of all breeds and mixtures. No charge for admittance, free sails on the Woody Guthrie, the Sloop Clearwater was there.Pete would be proud of the way his Sloop Club carries on his vision of bringing people to the River even without him. Corn Fest in August is next.
Pete Seeger turned a landfill into this lovely park
Great park right on the Hudson River. Im not from the area, but did some fishing from the bank when I was in town and there were many families with young kids enjoying themselves. Lots of space to fish.
Really wonderful park for the kids. Two areas so smaller and bigger kids can play together or separate. Water is right there so keep your eyes out, but it’s a nice way to mix nature with play.
Lovely place for fishing and family picnic
Just a beautiful day...we represented Spirit of Beacon Day committee and helped to raise money for next years parade.
It was quiet and gorgeous. A great place for photographers.
Beautiful view of the river. There for taco fest. Bald eagle flying around.
Beautiful waterfront park. Panoramic view. Playground for kids. Bikes could be rented. Newburgh beacon ferry rides there back and forth.
Beautiful views of the Hudson and the bridge, fun playground and swing set, and the spot for Sloop Club festivals. We have had birthday parties there and its just a perfect vibe. Not usually crowded. A gem of Beacon.
Gorgeous park. Very clean.
Great spot, but the Hudson is still the Hudson.... I would never go swimming there !!!!
The Riverview is breathtaking, a very large park, plenty of room for children to play and picnics.
Like being on a mini vacation, so pretty
Very nice place...watch the geese but overall very peaceful
The River front is beautiful early in the day
A wonderful place to spend a day picnicking or just relaxing by the Hudson river
Love this park - very peaceful!
Beautiful park with benches and a fantastic water front.
A beautiful spot on the Hudson river. The River Pool has been enjoyed by over 1,000 people a summer for the past 9 summers. The river water is tested every week and is very clean. The pool has never been closed because of the water quality.
Lovely park, had a great breeze and now its raining..but still feels great. Nice place for family fun.
It was nice didnt stay long
This place is awesome! There is an overall nature vibe mixed in with an urban industrial era feel when looking at the Newburgh beacon bridge. Would defiantly go back here on purpose.
A little gem on the Hudson. Lots of trees, surrounded by 270° of Hudson River.
Nice enough little park but it would be better if it wasnt covered in goose poop.
Wonderful place, just like their founders.
Need to install a restroom.
Great place to take the kids to play
What a nice park on Hudson. Shade. Breeze. Benches. Grills. Right on Hudson. Pleasant find

Great and relaxing environment
Quaint, clean and beautiful views.
So PEACEFUL
Sunset and peaceful walks!
Nice view here, but a lot of the time it is desolate. Feels a little apocalyptic when youre the only person here.
Great atmosphere
Dont go to the river pool.
