This park is awesome. Breakneck ridge is wonderful to climb, but is sometimes too popular. The Cornish Estate Trail and the Bull Hill trails are excellent. The ruins of the Cornish estate are fascinating.

Parking is challenging as it’s a popular spot but the trails here have a lot to offer. Lots of elevation gain in the bull hill short loop trail, and the stunning vistas and views of the Hudson River and West Point are remarkable, especially in the fall.

Favorite place stunning view tucked near Bannerman Castle to take a dip or a nice walk in the woods. I love this spot.

The breakneck ridge hike is hard for the first 1.3 mile. Straight mountain climber style. Not recommended for the unprepared or weak. It is a tough climb to be honest.First 1.3 mile is rock climbing.Next 1.5 mile will descend but depending on which way you take. Otherwise it will be just steep muddy or rocky roads.

Walls style is as unassuming as the surroundings, pared to the essentials to render a scene of simple life that was more like preceding centuries than it is like our life today. But the ordered angularity of the houses make them stand out from the otherwise free-flowing and disordered nature around them
