I love it! I feel safe enough to go alone. Im a senior and I go on Tuesdays because its for cheapskates, and I live on Social Security. Its clean, polite, and no stairs or walking thru a mall. I love it.

Theater is permanently closed and from what I understand no plans to reopen it anytime in the future. Then again thats the Bayonne way.

Its a movie theater, so in my mind kinda hard to mess up. But, their staff there is always really nice and friendly and they show good movies. They also have the D-Box theater seats. I have yet to try them but I can see how, with the right movie, they can be fun. Theyre regular seats arent bad either, they feel a little wider then the regular movie seats and they have a good amount of space between the rows. Also for the most part the bathrooms are decently clean.

Too many young people running the theater. The snack bar could use a little upgrade. It would be great if the snack bar can provide you with whats on the menu. The heat to the theater is out of service for some time now .

Watched Wonder Woman with my girlfriend last summer. The theater actually looked better and cleaner. Even the bathroom looked clean. Better than from what I remember from the previous years, that is why I give it a four star.

I will surely miss the great moments I had at Franks. Been years since Ive went. Until today I saw that they closed. I hope its to renovate, and its not permanent.

They should not be in business. Nor will they be for long, I suspect. When its 34 degrees outside, heat is NOT optional. Nor is an unheated theater cool or just a bit breezy. This isnt the first time, or the second time, but the third time which makes it the last time as far as Im concerned. I think Ive been more than fair. I will take my money elsewhere and wait for them to go out of business so the theater can reopen under new management. Its a great location, so hopefully it will happen soon.

UPDATE: Franks Bayonne location has officially closed. No information is found ontheir website and you can no longer find the Bayonne location. The only issue with this establishment, honestly, is the cleanliness. The floors are almost always sticky with soda spillage. Popcorn strewn across the floor aisles. Otherwise, a really nice, convenient and affordable movie outing in our area.

UPDATE: Unfortunately it looks like they were unable to stay open after the company filed for bankruptcy this past September. They tried to keep the NJ locations open but they began abruptly shutting their doors in recent months. My family loved the Bayonne location and patronized it regularly for over 10 years. It was a great neighborhood theater. Great prices, staff and they even do community out reach

Movie was great Venom seats were comfortable. Concession sucked, No butter for popcorn No pretzel nuggets Or nachos. Person behind the counter with a very nice.

A pretty good theater. Big enough screens to enjoy a blockbuster. Its clean enough. It feels like a safe place.They do special movie showings for really young kids sometimes. I took my daughter to a couple of them, and it was nice treat for us.Parking is always very easy here.

I just came from the theater to see aquaman & the theater was freezing. I went during the summer & a theater didnt have heat. Movies cost a lot of money so they should make sure the theater is comfortable.

THERE IS NO HEAT IN ANY OF THE THEATERS. They have a sign that says theaters may be cool and when we asked about our theater they said it was breezy. LIES. I had a hat, scarf, gloves, and my parka on the while movie. This has been a problem since last year. After a year on no heat this isnt something to hard to get fixed. Theyre just to lazy and cheap to do so. Just a warning.

What’s the point of a phone in the office if it’s not used, but’s its cool I’ll just start buying corporate movie tickets for my company from AMC now on, I want the best for my employees wouldn’t send them here.

The theater was ridiculous cold and after speaking to the young lady behind the counter they still did nothing about it. I had to use a heavy blanket to keep my family warm. Will not be going here anymore!

I want this to be my home town theater! ! So I want to see it so much better.It was so hot in the theater last time I was there...uncomfortable! !! Need to do something with the cleanliness factor as well!Please try harder....I want to love this place!!!

Nice place, they try hard to please. Stadium style seating makes for comfortable viewing. As with all multiple cinemas, if there is a problem such as out of focuse or volume, youre stuck with it. Special pricing on Tuesdays is a good deal!

Went there this past Saturday, no butter for pop corn.......the bathrooms were a disgrace tissue everywhere, toilets were disgusting . With the amount of money you spend for an outing to the movies there should be clean bathrooms for your customers to use. Its nasty there. The volume of the movie was exceptionally loud.

Went and saw Ant Man and the Wasp..Follow in issues happened.1. No ATM and no credit or debit accepted during visit. Had to run to Stop and Shop to use their ATM.2.During credit scene cleaning crew came in and told what the last credit scene was...which ruined the whole movie experience for me. And they told the whole theater....it couldnt gace been that important to clean before the movie was properly ended.

Like a lot of things this theater was pretty awesome... when it was new. Now... years later... the rugs look worn and outdated. The seats stick and squeak. As much as they charge for tickets, food, snacks and drinks you would think they would take some of that money to update or at least maintain the place. REALLY wonder where all of that money goes!

I have three words: management is cheap! They obviously think their patrons are stupid! For the past year or more I have gone into the theater and requested my desired movie, only to be told, Oh the air conditioning in that theater isnt working. Oh the heat in that theater isnt working. Believe me viewing a movie a month, Ive been in every theater in the building so its not just one of the rooms. I started to take notice of the movie patrons in front of me were requesting and even though they were viewing a different movie they were told the same thing. Apparently they are just too cheap to turn on the heat or the AC. Today is Tightwad Tuesday but the theater they sent me into today was equivalent to sitting in my unheated vehicle first thing in the morning! $6 or not, Id like to view the movie in Comfort!!!

Its officially closed now. I will forever miss having a movie theater in this plaza.

No heat. Had to bring a jacket. Bunch of teenagers running around. Theater looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for days. No exaggeration. Disgusting. Popcorn all over the floor.

Very helpful and responsive staff at the theatre. Had a cancelled show due to issue with the speaker system. They took care of all the people for that show by providing free passes to watch any show any day any time. Would definitely recommend.

I went to the movie theater yesterday with my daughter & niece to see Ralph Breaks the Internet we caught the 6:20pm movie. The movie theater was freezing no heat at all. Went to see Equilizer 2 last nite 7:15 pm Show. Some major issues. Lets start with:1: No Credit Card usage no ATM.2:1 person working the front, No security. No onevisible.3: Popcorn didnt taste good and butter machine notworking.4: The theater smelled and the seats need to becleaned.5: Last but not lease the bathroom is terrible !!I spent 35.00 (1 med. Soda and 1 Popcorn) for this place.Close down and revamp..make it a better experience.

They have really let this theater get run down! We went on 1/14/18. The 1st movie we wanted to watch we couldnt the projector was broken, the 2nd movie we were told the heat was not working in that room. We were already there with 4 kids so there was no way we could leave without watching something. The least they couldve done was offer a discount on the tickets or at least the consessions. They were not apologetic at all.

Clean, quiet and had so much fun! Go on the late night for even more peace and quiet. Love it.

Nice place a little dated. Not to crowded

This is by far the worse experience I’ve had in any movie theater!!! What was suppose to be a special and memorable night, turned out to be an absolute nightmare!!!!!!! From the moment we stepped foot inside it felt horrible!!! It was dirty, customer service was poor, the seating uncomfortable, it was atrocious to say the least!!!!! Had I not prepurchased the tickets, I would have done a quick u-turn and ran from the place like a bat out of hell !!!!

Its not over crowded like Times Square and convenient location. Calm and quite. If youre looking for the Hype of the city, then go to the city. This is a community theater, nearby restaurants, and kind staff.Cons: if it is extremely late at night you maybe to remind them about the movie. Sometimes they forget to pay it, after all its 12p.m., Id forget too. Bathrooms can be cleaner.

Over all a good theater. A few of the theaters dont have heat yet and there was a strange line in the movie.

It was very cold in the theater as if I was outside, they did have any snacks at the counter we had to sneak food in prices was also outrageous.Ps: They need updates on the seats very uncomfortable.

This is twice that Ive been and the movie I want to watch is in a theater that the AC is not working in it. As a business person myself, I know if I have to fix something for my guests I would do it. They havent learned that yet. Get your AC fixed, I left and you lost my business. How do you not get it fixed through the slowest part of the day? You have all day before it gets busy, fix the AC!

Franks Theatre is a very comfortable place to go watch a movie. A place where you can enjoy the movie.

Its a good place, but with all the money they charge for tickets, popcorn, snacks and drinks, they should do some refurbishing to the place.

There was no heat in the theater long lines and no one to sell tickets in the booth.

I probably spent alot at the fantastic arcade inside the place. Nice comfortable place its hard to stay awake Im so relaxed lol.

I had a nice time with family, although I wish the volume was a bit more maximized being a theatre room and all but it was nice

For the most part the place is great.i am off during the week so my girlfriend and i go to late show and many times have theater to ourselves. the screens are a little small compared to other places, but the prices are great, the staff is really good, and i would suggest getting a loyalty card to present every time you go, we have gotten so much free stuff over the years, it is definitely worth it.SINCE I HAVE WRITTEN THIS REVIEW, WE HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE THEATER AND THE AIR CONDITIONING, FOR OVER A MONTH NOW THE AC IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THEY KEEP SAYING IT ISGOING TO BE FIXED BUT IT SEEMS IT NEVER IS, EVERY TIME WE GO THE AC IS SO LOW YOU CANNOT ENJOY A MOVIE AND EVERY TIME WE COMPLAIN THEY SAY THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF IT BUT IT NEVER GETS ANY COLDER. WHATS UP WITH THIS? another problem with this place is that they show the same previews over and over and then when the movie comes out they do not get it. case in point the edge of seventeen.

Decent movie theater with typical small movie theater concession stand. As if writing this post Franks Theater hosts a deal each Tuesday where standard movies are only $6 and popcorn is 2.50. Definitely the cheapest way to keep up on the latest films!

Very helpful and responsive staff. Tickets are reasonable and they offer special dbox seats which move and shake with the sound to help immerse you. If you purchase the large special combo you get refills of drink and tub, even when you return another day.

Pros:-Its close to me.Cons:-Its not very clean.-One of the rooms has a dead speaker in it. Ruins the experience. Trust me.-One of the rooms was colder than being outside in November.

It is long over do for the carpeting and seat covers to be changed, I was sticking to the carpet while waiting to see my movie. You have to inspect your seat before you sit from all the stains, I know people are just plain disgusting but thats part of doing business. I suggest covering them in an easy to clean vynil for cost and longevity. This is my local theater I really enjoy it, always a great staff but it is getting dingy and needs to be addressed ASAP!!!

Good theater. Well maintained. Pretty clean for the most part. Pleasant staff. Never had an issue there. Prices are in line with most movie theater chains.

Terrible...very little staff on site and previews were delayed in theater...I dont think this theater will last. With less and less people going to the movies, it would be smart to have at least one thing to attract people...this place has none.

I finally got a chance to see jurassic world the only problem I had was there wasnt any A C on it was pretty hot in theater 9, I guess thought it wasnt worth it for a hand full of people

Its a little outdated, but usually pretty clean. You cant beat $6 tickets all day on Tuesdays. Call in sick at work and go watch a flick or two. Then go get drinks at Houlihans. Plenty of parking.

This place is a dump. The theater seats are old and broken . The staff is undersized and unorganized. The entire place is filthy .

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Bathrooms omg. I see why these places are closing down due to lack of revenue. For the prices customers pay to watch a movie these cinemas should be in great condition. My opinion bring back the drive-ins. Cheaper and you know your not coming home with anything and the good old days of great movies, bring your own food and a good kissing moment between each other s company. Yeah people we have been sucked in . Thank goodness for patience and redbox.lol.

Bathrooms are a mess. You buy your tickets at concession stand and have to wait for everyone getting popcorn. No reclining seats like at Kerasotes. People talking and obnoxious while movie is playing... and no heat in winter! Cold AF!

Good location and on Tuesdays $6 dollar movies all day and a medium popcorn is $2.50! But go for the yearly bucket it costs $20 dollars to buy but refills are $4.50 any day.

This is the worst theather ever.this theater needs sanitation.its run down.if you looking for a place without heating or AC go there.the place is dirty, the bathrooms everything.Staff nasty, poor management.Bed Bugs is also included with your ticket.They will lie to you on your face if you are not regular or from the community and say the same stupid line we are having some issues with the heat but we spoke with a company and we should be getting it fixed soon.BS they are lying dont go there or you will end up with pneumonia.

We just heard they have bed bugs and theyre not telling nobody about it. and my kids where there last night on 01-27-2018. A couple of my kids friends told my kids that they got bit there the other day. Well beware i hope my kids didnt bring those things home. The Frank Theaters South Cove Stadium 12 has closed down after remaining open for several months despite its parent company filing for bankruptcy.Francesco Alessi, who owns the South Cove Commons Plaza property, confirmed the theater had been vacated in early March, but declined to comment any further.“We’re evaluating our options right now on how to move forward and what we’re going to do with the space at this time,” he said.

This place brought Bayonne to its best. Saw many movies there and I expect to see more. The snacks are pretty good too.

Bed bugs. No heat in the winter, no AC in the summer. I hate writing negative reviews but having just come from the theater, hands covered in bed bug bites, I am quite upset. Seats where bed bugs cant hide please. This is an update following a previously good review, but I could not keep that up when I have to drive home concerned of whether I need to burn my clothes rather than have my home compromised.

Saw goosebumps 2 all alone in the hall :-) the place is really empty during the weekdays. The tickets are priced similar compared to AMCs and other large multiplexes. The halls were not cleaned before the show, and projection was satisfactory. Parking available onsite.

The movie screens arent always the best and sometimes the movie is uncentered. Sometimes other things go wrong like the lights coming up or not going down. But management is helpful and quick to fix issues. Also its almost always pretty quiet and easy to get a seat even at new movies.

Theatre is clean and neat until you reach restroom. I know this isnt the employees fault as much as it is of the people using the restrooms. Its sad to see people be so careless and inconsiderate.

Tightward Tuesdays. Six dollars a ticket all day. Just remember to get there early because the concession stand doubles as the box office.

To be very honest, This theater is the worst. Monday evening 3.7.18 I went to see Black Panther good movie. Next day 3.8.18 I find out my child has bite marks on her body. Looks up types of bug marks leave that type of mark. Bedbugs, so my daughter has bedbug marks. rumors are true. Bedbugs are in this movie theater.

This place has gone downhill fairly quickly. Understaffed, not well maintained, and I dont thinl theres been an upgrade since they opened. The last time I was there, this past Saturday, it was in the mid 90s outside, and about 105 inside. Air conditioning wasnt working and given the humidity the walls were sweating. Aweful
