Much better experience now that it has been renovated. Paved walking path is flat, you can make a 1 mile loop. Not great for dogs to play fetch, but you can walk them off leash (see EBRPD rules). No shade when walking. Restrooms, covered picnic areas. Small parking lot.
I am fortunate to be able to see behind the scenes as construction is taking place to clean up and fix up this cool little park. Props to East Bay Regional parks for giving this location some attention! When all is said and done, there will be a nice walking trail with a ton of shoreline wildlife to see. There will also be flushing toilets and a little picnic area with interpretive signs spread around the location.
After many years they restore the place, finally! Some sidewalk, better parking and better road for access was needed. Not sure how is going to look like because its still under construction. It looks like they are just doing the bare minimal, probably to preserve the nature as is, !? Or maybe insufficient founds... Before it was wild and at times populated by weird individuals. Fishing here is popular but no catch... Good for a walk in open nature, or fishing.
Good place to go to get some peace. I tend to end up in the area very early so I get a great sense of nature. Hope you all enjoy...
Great for toddlers. Ducks and geese
I go here about 4× a week for some piece and mind.... Good place to fish too
If you like being able to see water but not get in it, if you like being away from people but close to trains, if you enjoy the occasional jack rabbit and mosquito swarm, and if you like short nature walks but not really long ones, then this is the perfect place for you to visit.
Love this views
This place had to be clean of all trash, people come and leave it, is a treasure with a few more trails bench to stop while walking this city had much potential, imagine a trail around the whole shoreline, We encounter a few homeless, lots of singing birds is full of life, we love it, the pick nick tables are in the hot sun so nobody sat there well we will be visiting, most of the time we expend there we didnt saw nobody 2 hrs.picking up trash
Underwhelming. There was so much dog poop on the trail that my attention was mainly where I was stepping instead of looking at the park. I feel bad that this is all Pittsburg can come up with for tourists or things to do!
My nature walk trail to the water front took me instead in a circle to nowhere with a puddle lake with construction debree depressingly left behind ruining nature.
An easy place to meditate in nature without being too far. The regional parks system should implement places for people to dispose of their cigarette waste (butts, ends). Other than that the park is pretty decent.Theres kind of a piss poor excuse for a bathroom there, the bathroom there....isnt a toilet....Its a hole. Its literally a small concrete room and a hole. It gets cleaned every so often, (i think) so bring your own tp if you need that. also I would check local listings before eating fish from this area because of local pollution in the delta.
Great place will be back again
Pretty but gross. So pretty gross. Beautiful cat-tails and lots of trash.
Its always fine, I live in the Acres
Great for walking.
Its a jewel but the trail is poor treat it with garbage in the coast side garbage and more garbage, a trail along the coast line will be a dream come true the wind the view could be awesome there turn off you music and enjoy the sounds of the shore.
Dirty, lots of riff raff.
Caught a fish, yet unpleased with all the fish man trash they leave behind. My boy loved playing in the mud.
Soo peaceful
Purdy out here

Awesome!
GPS are great
Great place for a walk or brisk run. Needs better community access infrastructure though.
