My happy place in Baton Rouge. Large, beautiful, clean park with lots of activities (disc golf course and tennis courts are great), friendly people, dogs, HILLS! Best park in this area hands down
This park used to be full of secluded areas and beautiful natural paths that accommodate walking, biking, and exploring. Now nearly all of the trees have been destroyed and its a concrete park. There are wide walkways everywhere, with giant bridges and concrete steps, and large flowerbeds surrounded by concrete. I used to play football here with my friends but now its not worth going.
This park is so great to go to for a picnic or frisbee golf or just a great walk in the park. Its so big everyone has plenty of space to enjoy their own family, but can also socialize if they choose to as well. If you go for frisbee golf look up the map on google before you go so you have an idea of where to go.
Went kayaking and birdwatching. Bayou Fountain water level, very low. Launching and takeout difficult. Birding was good. Saw a river otter up close.
They need to take care of the grounds better. Tons of weeds and ants. The grass needs to be edged. The trees are literally dying from vines. BREC needs to do their job.
Lots of open space for kiddos to play and run around. Easy trees to climb. The scenery is super beautiful. Plenty of walking paths. Clean and well kept.
Great amenities for walking, running, exercise. Just fun of all kinds for all ages. Does golf, trail running, tennis, splash pad and playground.
The splash park is excellent the playground has some covering for shade. I enjoyed it and so did the kids
What an amazing place! The disc golf course offers something for every skill level. A little light for people who have 450 on demand but still challenging and most importantly fun. Bathrooms and pet friendly are a HUGE bonus. Baton rouge should be proud of this place.
Many great cross country races here. Go wolves.
Great walking paths..and even disc golf on somewhat of a nature trail.if you venture far enough to the back of the park there is a splash pad, shaded playground, two football fields and even soccer goals.
Beautiful park, very clean. Lovely paved (and dirt) paths, plenty of space.
Was a beautiful park but the address for this location needs to be different from the center around the corner. I went to a baby shower at the center around the corner and when I gps the address it took me to the park not the building where the party was but the center had the same address. I think that should be done better. Someone was kind enough to show us where the place was but overall I enjoyed the shower.
Amazing park. Its really big, and you can get lost in the quaint paths.
Always a great time until it rains anyway
Nice, clean community park. Concrete sidewalk for walking/jogging. Nice open areas for lounging and enjoying nature. Disc golf course for the stoners. And a nice pavilion and splash pad for kids/birthdays/parties.
This is a really fun park for all ages. Just keep in mind that there is a water park, so your kids will probably get wet. Always bring towels and extra clothes, just in case. I tried to bring my toddlers to just the dry section, but you have to go around the fun water part first. Well, they were soaking wet by the end of the day They had a blast though.
Covered playground and great splash pad for the kids!
Nice safe park
This park is absolutely lovely! The rolling hills are unusual for South Louisiana, and the paved trail that winds through them is delightful. Theres also a frisbee golf course for anyone interested in that, as well as several picnic tables under a pavilion. Benches are scattered along the trail for anyone needing a rest.My family and I love this park. I highly recommend it for your next family picnic!
Quiet get away very peaceful you meet cool people there
The area was nice but the park was a little disappointing.
Came here to do a walk for Alzheimers a few weekends ago. Hadnt been to the park in a while and was really impressed with the new facilities. Park was well kept and the splash pad looked awesome. Lots of new walking/ jogging paths. Will definitely bring the kids next summer.
We went here to support our Sacred Heart family cross-country running team and was amazed with how big this park is! It was a beautiful and cool(by Louisiana standards) morning!! We love all the walking paths! We had a wonderful time!
So much to do in this park really could use some water faucets for people and their fur children.
We rented one of the party rooms in 2016 for my daughters baby shower. I could not have been more pleased. It was a beautiful room, the perfect size, and was very inexspencize for the amount of time given. They supplied all the tables and chairs. We were so pleased my daughter rented a room here this year for my grandsons 2nd birthday. We were just a happy this time as we were last. I would recommend this center to anyone for any reason.
I dont like paying to play there. But hey, its cheap and its a really nice setup
Lots to do here. I love the disc golf. This park isnt as flat as the rest of Baton Rouge. They also have tennis courts, a basketball gym, a concrete walking bath, a mosquito lake, and a nice play area for kids.
Great day at the park. The weather was perfect for Sunday Baton Rouge rookie rugby.
This park is lovely! It is always clean and maintained. Lots of grass/space for activities (football, soccer, frisbee, etc). There are beautiful hills and trees and shade. The playground equipment is new and is located next to a covered picnic area and a splash pad. The playground area has a springy flooring that makes for a soft landing for kiddos when they fall or slide. My entire family is able to find activities they enjoy (even the dog).
Great park with open areas and something most of the Baton Rouge area lacks . . . hills.
Great park with lots of different activities including tennis, disc golf, a walking path and a great playground for kids.
Peaceful, stillness, love of the beauty of GODS wonder!!!!. A time to think of our connection to his creation.
Great family park for all the right reasons. If I had a child, we would go to that park.
Pretty much the best park Baton Rouge has to offer, which isn’t saying much, but it really is a nice park. They’ve done a lot to it over the past several years.
This place was amazing! Love the colorful sails that provide shade over the awesome playground. The splash park was so much fun. There are lots of tennis courts and open fields for playing frisbee or football. Loved it!
Nice, open well maintained oark. Real bathrooms. Was there for a cross country meet. They even had a snow cone truck. Go Lee High!
I (56 year old male) enjoy going to the playground. I like going down the slide backwards, and climbing up on top of the monkey bars to do my taxes. I try to talk to the kids about the economy, but they do not understand. Overall good park, but kids could be more educated.
My favorite park in the world! I grew up going here and playing softball here and now to be able to take my own kids, it is just beautiful. My kids love walking around, riding their bikes and scooters and having picnics here. The view alone is breath-taking and peaceful.
The park was very clean and had lots of shady areas for kids to play. The play structures were lots of fun.
Great location for cross country meets. Improvements are noted and looks like they are going to make it even nicer.
Love walking around this park. When I get want to get off the concrete, its a nice walk cross country walk.
The park has changed a lot since I was a kid. Gone are the baseball/softball fields/soccer field and bleachers. They have been replaced with a really nice walking path. The revamp of the park is a nice improvement.
Theres a lot of land. They mow it. When it rains the paved path floods and some sections retain water for more than a day. Mosquitoes are a problem. The number of stars that youd give it depends on why youre there.
Best park in Baton Rouge. Rolling hills to make your workout more challenging. Great place picnics or just a great stroll. A gold mine...shhhh, its a secret.
Great walking loop. Wide sidewalk.
Lush green space and lots of activities - indoor courts for basketball, volleyball, dance, etc. Outdoor play areas for small children, fields for football or soccer, lighted tennis courts with a pro shop, disc golf, walking paths and trails.
Lots of Fun for the Family. Especially for the Kiddos.
Great place to take the family. Everyone was so nice. Well maintained and can get off the path with ease to get some privacy. will be back
Great multipurpose community park. I attended for a school cross-country event.
We had a global community day here today. Had cultural performances and exhibits from many different countries as well as a talented local jazz and blue band. The park was spacious and bright. Bathrooms were clean and convenient for changing. Very good venue for such events. Will probably book it again in the future and recommend to others.
Large open park with plenty of nice features
Otherwise a decently kept up Park. Only problem with this part that I see is that it backs up to a swamp and has Flooding at different parts of the year. Needless to say bug spray might be a must if you come in the evening time.
This is the best place in Baton Rouge! So much room to roam! Love.
Splash pad with covered seating and a shaded playground. Love it, great new facilities. Cant go wrong with BREC parks. Theres also a frisbee golf course here but Ive never gotten to try it.
Great outdoor park
Great disc golf course.
Had a picnic to attend. Was wonderful. Always have a great time here.
Nice community park with a walking/running loop, open fields, a playground and a few sports fields. Easy access off of Highland Road. There is also a Disc Golf course throughout the park!
The park is nice, but the disc golf course was impossible to figure out. Some signage and maps would be nice.
This place is a very cool visit, but sometimes there are birthday parties and other things going on. I enjoy taking my four-year-old out here, except when there are 12 and 13 year old kids at Day Camp because their parents are too lazy to do anything else but send them there... Well, you can only imagine how they get in the way. But the park itself is awesome.
Nice path around big open space. Good amenities. Perfect for exercising my yourself or outdoors games with family and friends
Celebrated family reunion. Had a great time.
The splash pad is fantastic. The park is currently under construction, but the improvements should be great. Our toddler loves it every time we go.
The sundial was very cool!
So much to do and love the splash park
Excellent, refreshing
My kiddos had a blast today!! Its hard to find good playgrounds for toddlers...BUT Ill definitely be bringing them back here!! My only concern about the entire place....the playground equipment is extremely hot during mid day hours!! Other than that....GREAT PLACE TO BRING THE KIDS!!And the splash pad is awesome!!
Always clean and safe!
Tennis. It was fun and affordable.
Park was dirty. Great that they added more shade.
Love this park. Has a concrete walking track: clean bathrooms; playground for the kids with a splash park. Always clean and well maintained
I LOVE this place. And so does my family. But they need to REALLY work on the bathrooms and clean up the trash from partys. Also the cut outs in the playground area are starting to raise up and like warp, so children are tripping over them. It is hazardous. They NEED to go ahead and put up the shades, the equipment is SO HOT for the children to play on. But if it wasnt for that the place is nice. Also, I believe the police should patrol. A few older men just sitting around watching children....
Great park frisbee golf is great
Beautiful, clean park. Have visited for cross country meets and tennis. Grounds are well kept. Courts are nice.
Fun for entire family! Indoor basketball court, with a beautiful yard and they also have a little water play area where the children can play in the water on hot summer days!
Nice park! Great place for a stroll or just to sit and relax.
My kids absolutely love going to this park when we came here for a party. Now also were all of the play sets huge and spacious, there is a good variety of kids of all ages to be able to play.
Good disc golf course tee boxes need signs without a map you are lost
This is a great, clean fun place with various things to do. Brec does well with their upkeep (except toilets, but public toilets are public toilets). There is very little local lights which means clear nights are great for star gazing (there is a observatory right down the street). 10/10!
Awesome park. Has a walking trail with workout equipment, several pavilians, frisbee golf course, splash pad, playground and more. Across the street is a ball field and a fishing pier/kayak launch into the bayou (watch for snakes).
Very nice place...
Great astronomy activity for the whole family.
Great place to spend the day
Love everything about this park. The beautiful walking loop, the childrens play area, the splash pads and the disc golfing facility. Yet another beautiful and well maintained park by BREC that we as a family want to visit frequently.
Really well maintained park. Wish it had night time lights and was night accessible
Great family park, huge, disc golf and more
A great spot to bring your dog or a date for a lovely stroll.
What an awesome park..... Great family fun with large areas for dogs to run. Jogging trails, bike trails, football field area, basketball ball courts are all to be found.
Great splash pad love the disc golf course
Beautiful, clean park, great for gatherings. I went for a kids birthday party. Its also a water park.
Nice park to take the kids too
