I was downtown Baton Rouge Louisiana this was a nice place to visit. A lot of history there and the trees were spectacular

Truly a gem for Baton Rouge. Whether playing in the park, the dog park, walking the lakes or visiting the Gallery, I have always enjoyed my time at City Park.

Great park. We love to go in the morning. The regular parents, grandparents, and sitters are diverse, welcoming, and a joy to be around. The park had great play areas, sidewalks for bike or scooter rides, and lots of big mature trees for climbing kiddos.

This is a nice place to walk or run. There isnt a playground, but there are several lakes to walk around, a little beach area to sit with the kids, and plenty of ducks to feed

Not large, but a nice space to visit and easy trail down to the lake, by the golf course, dog park and on to LSU. On site Tennis with walk-up reservations, and dont forget about the lawn bowling field/greens.

This park is very well kept. Ive never seen any trash, the play equipment is well maintained, and the wood chips are raked every time I come with the kids. Theyre are plenty of benches, a bathroom, and water fountains. Attached Id a dog park that i live bringing my dog to. There is also plenty of grassy places to lay out on a beautiful day. The LSU lakes are close by if you want to take a walk, ride a bike, or feed the ducks.

The park staff is awesome and keep it very clean.

I wish the golf portion of the park would be open for walking, biking, etc. Golf takes up most of the space, and if you stand too close or enter the golf area, you are instructed to move away because it is too dangerous. The poblem is that the golf area is near everything, so unless you are in the childrens/dog park, everything else is too dangerous. It is a beautiful, well kept park, but even the kids splash pad is within the range of a gulf ball.

Nice place to look out over the lake. There are lots of odd looking ducks as well as some geese that congregate there begging for food.

Great free fun for the kiddos !!! Feed the ducks and then walk around to the park and let the kids run out all the energy they can. Lots of fun on a sunny cool day!!!

I like this park, I hope more people come to this park, because more people means more fun for kids, and Sometimes we just need a break and sit down to breathe air and relax with nature, so this is the perfect place more nature and life, and less PHONES

Its an awesome part I was so surprised at how big it was and how many other dogs were all just running around playing I suggested to anyone I will be back with my pitbull!

One of the most peaceful, Serenity, places to go. When you need to decompress. & be one with nature.

Quiet area, great for small social gatherings or golf, or apparently hunting down Pokemon since my roommate just discovered Pokemon go. They put a pokestop, I think, in the parking lot. The parking lot is very nice.

Overall just a decent park for the families to enjoy with their pets and sport activities.

Nice, clean park with plenty of people biking, jogging, playing on park gym, and letting their dogs play inside the fenced area.The ladies restroom was out of order, though. Not sure for how long, but this was late Friday going into a beautiful spring weekend. Girls were having to go into the mens room. Not good.3/22/19

This is a major green space in the city. Picnic Hill looks out over the dog park on one side and the rolling terrain of the golf course on the other. The streets circumscribing the Lakes are great for a bicycle ride, a run, or a stroll. The is a fair amount of bird life in the area with a good mix of small song birds and waterfowl. Well with a visit.

Awesome place, my introvert puppy dog ended up leading around a pack that included a Great Dane and Rottweiler. Im loving this place.

If I could give 4 1/2 stars I would but because I cant, this is why I give 4. This park is great, I spend 1-2 hours here nearly every day. I go here because its very close to campus, where I live. Its not nearly as big as the Burbank dog park & it doesnt have a small/large dog separation but I have only ever had a few issues with the varied dog sizes (most of the time it has been the owners fault bringing a dog younger than the rule required limits). There have been a few issues with small holes in the gates where smaller dogs have gotten out & having the childrens playground right next to the dog park has resulted in unsafe/uncomfortable events where children are unattended in the park. Ive only had an issue with these things a handful of times but for an honest review, I feel necessary mentioning it. The times I have met the park employees taking care of the dog park have always been great, very nice people. Its not as nice as other parks because of the size but my dog loves it, it is in a great location for those near campus or downtown & there is a lot of regulars here that are very good people with great dogs.

The breeze was nice today at the top of the hill. There was a lady throwing the ball for her dog. You can hear some kids laughing while they played on the playground off in the distance. Very nice park.

A great nature trail to get a good workout. You can walk the entire lake and when your done, you can walk to the next lake if your up for the challenge lol. And to top it off you can go fishing and have a picnic. Definitely all day enjoyment.

The Baton Rouge Gallery was where I took ballroom dancing, sponsered by BREC in the 1960s. Replacing the pool with a splash park was genius!

The lake is beautiful but, the surrounding area, not so much.

Nice very clean friendly people

Its a great place to pull in, relax, and eat lunch while watching the ducks walk pass and swim. It is also a great place to get out and get your cardio up. There is a track that you can walk, run or ride your bike around the lake or you can actually explore the whole lake area and travel around the winding roads and enjoy the scenery. The house are beautiful, the lakes are peaceful and its just an enjoyable scene.

Very great picknick spot

The parks are nice.I have problem with dog parks. Im a disabled Vet.with a Akc registered emotional support dog.My dog is a American Pit bull XL.He is a large dog with a small dog mentality.He is 23mos still puppy playful. The dog is not aggressive, loves children.I have problems with other owners in park because of his size and breed.He has his tag Identifying him as a service dog.Im contacting my city council rep.to discuss the issue.

I went walking with my spouse for the first time there and I loved it, the cars still speed around the lake, there are a lot of curves so they should be more cautious. Overall I enjoyed the walk and we will be training to begin running again and thats a area I definitely would recommend.

Where i take my doggies, gotta stop though my dogs are on a high protein raw diet and have good parasite protection, but every time i bring them they come home with large mature fleas all over and i have to treat them again, not recommended for people such as i that want as little insectecide on their pets like me, state should do better at elemination of the grounds!!!!!
